excellent plugin!

I was in a hurry to install a notifications bar on a clients site and grabbed the first one that came up in search. The font was too small and I wanted to have an image without having to hack the code.
After searching some more, I found this one and the countdown timer pulled me in. It was beyond perfect as it was for a Indiegogo campaign.
Thanks!

I appreciate the simple interface and options in the plugin. The fonts though are loaded specifying http: which will break the security of a https site. You could declare all of the fonts to use https since that protocol will work over http but not the other way around.

The options are nice and not too overwhelming, but it simply doesn’t work.

Hi,
I like your plugin and use it regularly ??
May I bring to your attention that Webdeveloper shows the following in FF-browser when dw-promobar.php is in use:
<a "="" target="_self" href="some-link " class=""></a>
Now, after ‘cleansing’, it shows (as it is probably meant to be):
<a target="_self" href="some-link" class=""></a>
Ceck both $dwpb_link = '';
and $dwpbcd_link = '';
in dw-promobar.php – there’s a colon in the code that doesn’t belong there, I reckon.
BTW, I never got custom CSS to work for me (and style it in me theme’s style.css), which might have to do with the above? I didn’t try yet using my own ‘rectified’ dw-promobar.php version, since I’m also missing a title feature for the link and have therefore reverted to hard-coding a desired link directly into dw-promobar.php – I know, not the neat way, but I’m not a PHP-pro.
Around line #225 this is what I do:
<?php // echo $dwpb_link; ?><a href="some-link" class="some-class" title="some title">some text</a>
Maybe you can (and want to) help or update – your call ??
Cheers, thx for the bar and all the best,
burn

I installed this notification bar with ease and peace of mind that my client would not be overwhelmed with options or able to drastically update the style in a way that clashed with their carefully crafted design. Great work identifying just what’s needed for simple, infrequent notifications that only require a link or text! Also appreciated adding in custom styles easily. Will definitely use again if the situation calls for this type of solution.

Perfect easy-to-use plugin. Intuitive, simple and looks perfectly.
Please add feature to use custom html code on the bar.
thx.

Despite changing the background and border colors in the plugin dashboard, the background remains the default orange with a wide white border. I’ve deactivated all other plugins, changed to the default theme – nothing works. When I inspect the DW Promo container it looks as though the plugin is dropping the # from the hex color for any color that is entered through the plugin. No response from plugin author.

I like this plugin very much! Nice set of configuration possibilities and works flawlessly. I have tried a couple of similair plugins but most of them were not fitting my needs or were causing problems. Some do have an overkill useless functions and some are missing exactly that settings you are looking for. This one brings what I was searching for in a nice simple way and it works in 2 minutes without any problem. Thanks for this nice plugin and keep up the good work!

Hi,
Thanks for this smart & simple one.
Almost all the things are here.
Here are a few suggestions from me, if you won’t mind-
You can add scroll or something like that as option.
The (hide or show) button style is too nice & handsome.
But, you can add option to add pictures of button as anyone want.
I already installed it in my site. I am facing a prob in Firefox Browser.
Here the (hide or show) button looks different, having some digits(!) ,
When it is hide looks F347 & when open it looks F343…!!!
If you want you can check it out
[ link redacted, please do not post links in the reviews section ]
I know, I can post it in support. But I don’t wana go over there again…
Thanks again… Have a nice day..
