How do we check for & execute updates for the pro version of the plugin?
Related: Should we perform updates on the free version if we have Pro installed? (working assumption: yes, since Pro seems to extend the existing plugin.)
]]>ISSUE DESCRIPTION: If categories are enabled, itemized time entries of a selected type (Regular or PTO) default to having no category.
FEATURE REQUEST: If Categories are enabled and any categories have been configured, a category option must be selected for each time entry. If only one category option is configured, that should be selected by default. (Put another way: Make it possible for Category to be a required field.)
USE CASE: Categories are enabled; ‘Entry type’ is set to ‘Itemized time’.
BUSINESS JUSTIFICATION: Some PTO type will always been required. This creates a scenario where there’s an easy default, which will result in users erroneously failing to enter a PTO type.
]]>I understand that when an employee submits a timesheet for approval, the email recipient receives a link to that employee’s sheet. In experimenting with different User roles, I find that the roles of HR Manager and Accounting Manager do not apparently give someone signing in to the site with those roles, any access to Dynamic Time. Is the only way for someone to have access to ALL the timesheets is for that person to have the role of Administrator? Basically, client’s “HR” person doesn’t want to see anything else about the site except for her employees’ timesheets, when she logs on to the site. So, what role to assign to her?
]]>After updating to 5.1.9, the ability to restrict time entry to 15 minute intervals appears to be missing.

]]>Hello,
I have been using your plugin for quite some time. We seem to be having an issue with the BiWeekly weeks. In the back end the weeks are correct, but they are not correct at the user level. The FAQ states that you can click the week at the top and change it one week at a time. I am not able to change the weeks by doing that. Is there anything else that needs to be set for this to work?
Thank you.

Anyone else having this issue? Tried on a couple of wordpress builds I have currently. Tried rolling back some security measures temporarily to get it to activate, also. Thank you

]]>Hi Rhett
We just completed our first month, overall the team is happy, however an issue that came up, is previously the guys had the option to export their times to CSV on our old Joomla website for their own records etc. I had a number of them contact me today about this.
Would it be possible to add a button to provide an additional button to export their timesheet for the month? I checked the setting and it does not appear to be an option there to enable such a function.
Thanks
Jamie
]]>We have an existing Timesheet solution on our Joomla website, but now moving to WordPress and have bought your plugin, however there are 2 things that would be good enhancements
1) Restrict Categories by User, ie user only has access to certain Categories
2) Display the Categories on the timesheet entry or provide a “hover tip” so user can see what Categories they have entered without having to click into the record.
Interested in your thoughts.
Also reading the other comments, it sounded like it would be possible to have the admin functionality on the main webpage (front end) currently only seem to be able to do via backend ?
Thanks
Jamie

]]>Hello,
The users who will be supervisors on my site aren’t admins, so I need them to access the timesheets that need approving on a page rather than through the admin menu.
When they view the page that the shortcode is embedded into, it loads their own timesheet rather than the timesheet they are meant to be approving.
Is there something I’m missing around how to bring up the timesheet that needs approval?
Thanks!
]]>Hi
We are investigating replacing QuickBooks Pro desktop, of which the time entries serve 4 automated functions / parts.
– Payroll for staff
– Time entries can (and we use) be locked to the client for invoicing
– Time entries can (and we use ) be locked to an invoice type (for the invoice line) so we use “Remote” and “Onsite” mostly)
– Contain text entries that are used on the client invoice, this entry always starts with “dd mmm yyyy – HHMM > HHMM” so the client knows what that invoice line is locked to, this is generally an automated entry when the time sheet entry starts and stops.
So at the end of each month an invoice is raised, the time sheet it checked by Quickbooks to allow us to select which entries to push to invoice with the contents of that timesheet entry and the description for that invoice line.
We understand your plugin is timesheet only, we are possibly looking at WP ERP for the invoicing and staff management, so will your plugin work for the above 4 bullet points?
Many Thanks
]]>Hey guys
Have an internally hosted wordpress site for our business, was testing Dynamic time for our staff to log time worked during this covid-19 nightmare.
Standard dynamic time was working fine.
Purchased Pro and activated the plugin, however now it crashes whilst trying to access the admin part of the plugin in the dashboard.
The user page still seems to load fine. Any idea why this is happening?
I am using word press 5.2.2
As i am only using this plugin for the next few months i have disabled automatic repayments on paypal subscription.
Thanks for the help
]]>Hey Team.
Testing out this plugin and so far looks great.
Have not upgraded to pro yet.
Looking to find out if there is a way for the supervisor to see the notes staff made in each day easily. Also is there way to have the notes for each day printed?
We are basically looking for a way for staff to plot out the work they performed during the hours they logged.
is this possible?
Thanks
]]>Hi,
Is there any way that time could be assigned by project, with project being a custom post type?
I would happily purchase the pro version if i could ensure time was allocated both via user, and to a project custom post type.
Thanks!

]]>Hi
I have referred this post to add new options in addition to Reg and PTO.
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/adding-new-dropdowns/
And i want 2 fields like double and time2.5
if user chooses double then the time will be multiplied by 2
and if chooses the other option then time multiplied by 2.5
And now its calculated individually but not able to include the multiplied values with the total hours.
Instead it adds only the non multiplied hours.
Please help me to calculate the total hours with multiplied by 2 and multiplied by 2.5
]]>Hi Rhett,
I was just wondering if we could assign the approver rights(even receiving email after an user has submitted time report) to a custom role user who has exactly all the rights as administrator. Is it achievable?
Thank you
Hey Rhett,
I have been using this plugin recently and it works great ?? KUDOS
I was just working out on something that would make the users feel easy to fill their time report.
How can I have a button somewhere in the page (may be below the dyt_days) that could fill all the days(except saturdays and sundays) with 8hrs and with REG type?
Can you please help me with this.
May be I can have a js function on the page that would set the value to 8hrs with REG type to all the days except saturdays and sundays.
Thank you.
]]>Hi,
Great plugin, LOVE IT.
I want to add 2 more drop down values apart from “Reg” and “PTO”.
I have made the changes in time_min.js
But I can see that time_cal.php contains many complex calculations for calculating the total no of hours. Can you help me with the time_cal.php, tell me where to make the changes ??
Thank you
Hi
Question: Is this plugin compatible with the Formidable Pro plugin?
Hello,
When i click on Open your timesheet , there is no timesheet on the page , is it normal ?
thanks
Hi,
I want to disable saturdays and sundays from the time report. The user should not be able to fill time report for saturdays and sundays. Also the user should not be allowed to fill on some specific days.
Can I achieve this?
Thank you.
Version 3.4.5.
Example: A user completes their timesheet for the month of May 2019 and clicks Submit while viewing the May month (let’s say this happens on June 2, 2019). Then the admin reviews and clicks Approve on June 3, 2019 also while viewing the May month.
Issue: When this happens, the June 2019 month for that user is not editable and the month says that it was Approved on June 3, 2019.
None of the above actions took place on the June month, so why would the June month be non-editable?
