My site name contains an apostrophe.
Naturally I added it to the Recipient and Subject Prefix fields.
In the Recipient field is causes the email to fail (it doesn’t get sent)
In the Subject Prefix field the apostrophe gets converted to “&039;” which looks really ugly.
Apostrophes should be acceptable in both these fields.
]]>I’m embarrassed to admit that i have had an easy contact form live on a site for some time but without the email area filled in. The default email was plugged in, so the emails sent, but they were never received. Is there a cache where text files of these might be found on my file directory?
]]>We receive a notification email but the fields we defined and inserted in the notification email show as is, i.e.
* {940.Firstname} {942.Lastname}.
* {971.Téléphone}
* {972.Pays}
* {947.Typed#39;organisation}
* {948.Typed#39;informationdemandé}
only email field is properly populated.
Most of the fields are required and are indeed submitted (I see them in the entries).
Please advise.
thanks
Florian
There seems to be something wrong going on with automated messages being generated by our website. Several times a day I have been receiving email being sent to our email address.
I believe this email is supposed to go to people who sign up to our mailing list or ask a question via the website. The odd thing is that these messages are being sent to our email address and we are not receiving any questions through that email address.
What’s going on? Thanks

In letters i don’t receive a email address but i get other info(text,website).
How can i fix it?
Hello, i recently updated easy-contact-form plugin (to version 1.3.2) but now suddenly my created fields inside the form are gone! The only thing that left is the Form Short Code ([easy_contact_forms fid=…]), and the name of the form that i created.
When i click on the created name all the fields that i created are empty now! How did this happen?
Ofcourse i can create a new fields inside the form, but with a new update then probably all my created fields are gone again. Please help!

Reloading the page restored the admin page, with this at the top:

The Easy Contact form still shows on my blog’s contact page so long as the plugin is active.
I’m reporting this here rather than starting a bug report ticket because the bug reporting system won’t allow me to login.

]]>This plugin is perhaps the first form plugin that spits out XHTML code that I like. However, it is a bit limited. So, I’d like to give a few suggestions for improving this plugin:
In the administration page, make a checkbox next to each form element option to be able to in- or exclude it from the form. For instance, I don’t need the field ‘Website’ and I don’t really need the form legends as well.
I like to track submissions with Google Analytics so instead of submitting to PHP_SELF or REQUEST_URI it would be nice to be able to choose a page (or post?) to redirect to after submission. If you decide to implement something like this, it would be great if you could do that without any javascript or meta refresh (some plugins do this) and just do it with a 301 redirect or just set the form action to the other URL.
To the reader: What do you think about these suggestions? Do you have any?
I’m hoping you’ll update this plugin and consider my suggestions.
]]>When working this app I noticed the ‘To’ and ‘From’ information received in the email was backwards. Change this code string within the econtact.php file and it will reverse the ‘To’ and ‘From’ and make it more ‘normal’…
OLD CODE:
$from_name = apply_filters( 'wp_mail_from_name', 'WordPress' );
REVISED CODE:
$from_name = apply_filters( "wp_mail_from_name", "$user" );
It should be possible to save the settings of this plugin!
Because if you deactivate it (for example for update to WordPress 3.0 it is obligatory to deactivate all plugins!) the settings of this plugin are all killed!
That’s a no go!
