I’ve tried adding a short code to the post but the Like Box did not appear. When the page load, it flickers with the word ‘Facebook’ then the div is gone. Can you assist the check the problem?

Hi,
In the beginning of the website I installed this plugin 2015). But at one point I couldn’t do the updates anymore, because the code was messing with my theme.
And I can’t remove the theme, because then the website gets fatal errors.
So I’m not sure what this code is, but since I haven’t been able to update I’m scared that the oldness of the code is causing safety issues and makes it easier to hack.
So I’d love some help by getting rid of this plugin. Because sofar it has only given me problems. Unfortunately.

How to disable this function? It just seems to be loading with blue thick lines across the screen, but the loading never ends.

Above a blog, I have added an easy facebook likebox. First you see a ‘like’-box, then a ‘share’-box and then a cloud with a number in it.

]]>I can’t see anything from this feed on my Mac. Tested in Safari, Firefox and Chrome. Tried it in 3 different themes.
I just checked with my web hosting company. They can see it in Firefox on Windows, but neither they nor I can see it on a Mac in Safari, Firefox or Chrome.
Their developer console cited this problem:

From what they can see, the problem lies with the SHA-1 certificate on the server from which the informaiton is being pulled. Is there anything that can be done about this?

The feed shows fine in firefox, but the does not display using chrome on both mac or PC or on a PC using Microsoft Edge. I used this plugin on another site in the past and check that and re-checked it looks fine on that site.
On the site in questions I am running wordpress 4.3.1 version 3 of the plugin.
