In https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Writing_a_Plugin, in the Security Note under Plugin Files states to add defined( 'ABSPATH' ) or die( 'No script kiddies please!' );
at the top of each WP plugin PHP file so that the file won’t be remotely executed.
Could you add this to the top of your PHP file?
I’ve just installed the Easy Pinterest for WordPress widget and I’m still getting the error that has been discussed in the previous two threads.
Using this is the url, which has the https that was mentioned…
And this message appears: Error loading Pinterest feed, likely an invalid character in the feed source.
PS I’m new to WordPress and I’m hoping it’s a rookie misunderstanding!
Hi,
I put this widget in my sidebar and when I go to preview the page it says:
“Error loading Pinterest feed, likely an invalid character in the feed source.”
Any idea what could be causing this?
Thanks!
John
It seems like the feed stopped working on the site.
The site it is being used on is https://freeyourmane.com (towards the bottom above the search box).
It was working fine with no settings changed up until just recently.
The site is using WP 4.1.1, and Easy Pinterest 1.2.9. The Pinterest feed is being displayed with the Easy Pinterest widget with the following settings:
Title: **blank**
Username: freeyourmane
Number of items to show: 18
Again, these same settings have been used for a while now and have displayed the feed correctly.
Is it possible to pull just from a specific board or does it only pull by username? ??
Thanks!
Is there any way you can update the plugin to pull images from URLs that won’t break HTTPS on a site?
For example the image
Could be
The second img would not cause insecure content warnings on a site using SSL.
Hello, the plugin once activated on my website doesn’t look like in your print screens. There should be at least 3 thumbnails for each row, right? Two only are showing up for me and it doesn’t look really nice. https://img51.imageshack.us/img51/725/hrut.jpg
I was switching around some of my widgets and moved Easy Pinterest to my left column sidebar. It looks like it was removing my footer and placing it in the left column as well. I double checked by removing all of my widgets and replacing them one by one, and it looks like Easy Pinterest was the culprit.
Is there a footer tag somewhere that isn’t closed?
All of a sudden, nothing is working, and the HTML isn’t fully getting created. However, the standard feed URI still works if done manually in the address bar. Could they have possibly changed something?
Hi Chris,
Been using Easy Pinterest, great app but the feed thumbnails do not have Pinterest URLs they are generating non-existent URLs on my site, resulting in a 404 if the thumbnail is clicked?
Thanks for your help,
Jamie
Hello ! I am in total love with this plugin, but I’d like to make a full page on my website with this, not only as a widget. Is it possible ? How should I do this ? Thank you so much ! Great plugin !
Hey, I’m having a blank moment – simply trying to style this plugin. Can you give me a hint, please?
It’d be great if it could come with a style sheet and some parameters to play with ??
hello, thanks for the plugin – my feed seems to have stopped updating – how often should it update?
