Hey, the plugin throws an error for me:
WordPress database error: [Table ‘myDB.wp_terms’ doesn’t exist]
SELECT object_id, t.*, tt.* FROM wp_terms AS t INNER JOIN wp_term_taxonomy AS tt ON tt.term_id = t.term_id INNER JOIN wp_term_relationships AS tr ON tr.term_taxonomy_id = tt.term_taxonomy_id WHERE tt.taxonomy IN (‘category’) AND tr.object_id IN (0)
I do have table prefix, so my terms table is nx_terms
instead of wp_terms
.
If I modify the /easyindex/lib/EasyIndex.php
on line 1043-1044 to:
$q = "SELECT object_id, t.*, tt.* FROM MYDBPREFIX_terms AS t INNER JOIN MYDBPREFIX_term_taxonomy AS tt ON tt.term_id = t.term_id ";
$q .= "INNER JOIN MYDBPREFIX_term_relationships AS tr ON tr.term_taxonomy_id = tt.term_taxonomy_id ";
And I do the same modification in EasyIndexIndex.php
line 1067-1068, then the error disappears.
Cheers!
I’d like to be able to set the meta description for secondary index pages. Yoast seems to only be able to set it for the primary index. When I build the description in Yoast using snippet variables, they are ignored on the secondary pages and the description is the same as the primary index. This is not good for SEO.
I tried to use this in Yoast:
Not your Bubbe’s %%title%%! What Jew Wanna Eat has you covered with delicious Jewish recipes that are fun to make for that NJB or NJG!
But regardless of the category title, the description comes out the same. Any ideas?
]]>This is an example of one secondary index page where the text is being cut off. I found your css code for x-height and changed the number to something outrageous like 75, and it doesn’t change the height at all. I’ve used this plugin on several different client pages and have had no problem with this at all. My heading fonts on this particular site are actually much smaller than on other sites.
We are close to going live and I really need to have this cropping of title text fixed before we do, or I’ll have to look for another index plugin (which I don’t want to do, as I really like yours). Please help!
]]>I want to index pages. I’ve installed a plugin that lets you add categories to pages, and I’ve configured your plug-in to display pages by categories. But the plugin does not display the pages, but instead displays posts.
I’d love to know how to fix this problem. Thanks!
]]>Hi, yesterday I changed my hosting plan and had to migrate to a different server. After the migration, I noticed the thumbnails were gone. The only index working was the one in list format. Is there a way I can recover the index with thumbnails? Do I delete the plug-in and reinstall? I’m now on a Managed WordPress hosting plan so I’m not sure I have access at all to the database. Also, instructions will have to really be detailed as I’m not very technical. Thank you!
]]>I just installed this plugin.
If you go to the link provided, it should provide several examples of duplicate content, but it actually isn’t duplicate.
This is all content that has been created via either the Revisionize or Revision TMC plugin, but is not available in WP ADMIN as a post.

https://ramshacklepantry.com/grilling-steak-like-a-boss-2/
https://ramshacklepantry.com/grilling-steak-like-a-boss-2/
are all entries in the index. Only the first exists as a post.
I feel like you must not be checking something in the DB to see if it is actually a published post or not.
]]>I had to roll back to a previous version of Divi in order to get the indexes (I have 2) working on my site. I am contacting Divi as well, but they will say it is the plugin’s fault. Either way, I would love to continue to use them both together.
]]>Hi. I’m looking for a way to change the display of my 3 indexes. The link below shows them all in one long list (the 2 smaller ones are at the very bottom). Ideally, I would like to show these in 3 columns (1 in each col). Can this be done?
EDIT: Also, I have noticed a strange entry in my first index (the very long one). Second from the very end you’ll see “yvy-pooetry”. Yvy is my WP theme, and yvy-pooetry is the child theme. What could be making this show here?
]]>I had to remove menu links to my recipe indexes as the plugin was no longer working and was just generating page not found errors. I opened a ticket in the easy index site. Hope there’s a fix for this.
]]>I am not sure why, but this index is no longer working on my page. Not sure what happened!
]]>I’ve been getting this /home1 is not writeable for a while. And I’m just now reaching out to you.
Why would that be?
Thanks
NONE of our indexes for our recipes is working at all. MAJOR problem!!!
]]>I have several posts indexed within a given category. I would like to rearrange the order of the posts. Can this be done?
]]>Hi,
This plugin looks amazing, and it works great for categories/taxonomies etc. that don’t have alot of posts in them.. however I have several categories with 100s of posts in them, which causes many of the images not to load (Photon CDN), very slow page load times, and generally looks like a mess.
I also have two categories with close to 1000 posts in them, those won’t load at all.
As for the images breaking, apparently that happens when your server loads the page faster than the Photon CDN can keep up with serving the images.
So for my request, would it be possible to add a limit to how many items are shown on a subindex, and then split the items on pages, with a numbered page navigation (or just some kind of pagination) within the subindex ?
This would really add functionality to the plugin, and make it usable for all kinds of sites.
Best Regards
Shooz
It appears that WordPress has removed the plugin from the repository and is preventing any downloads or updates.
Can you provide any feedback on this? Was a vulnerability detected? What information can you provide us so we can share that accordingly with clients? When do you expect the issue to be fixed?
Thanks in advance.
]]>I’ve just installed EasyIndex but it doesn’t appear to be indexing Pages, only Posts. Is this correct behavior? Can it be made to index Pages?
Thanks.
]]>Hi,
is it possible to use the same design in primary index & secondary index? Can’t find “Adair” as an option in secondary index.
If it is not possible, maybe I can only use the primary index without the secondary index and show their all my recipes?
Is their one of these options possible?
Thanks for support
Nadine
The indexes worked fine showing both primary and secondary but suddenly now, it is all gone. When i click on the tab, it takes me to a blank index page.
I have just moved the site to a different server, I do not think this is the reason for it not working.
CAn you help?
]]>I have a food blog, and I use EasyIndex for my recipe index (see here https://marshasbakingaddiction.com/recipes/recipe-index/)
I have recently created a category (Seasonal) and subcategories for it (such as Autumn Recipes). How do I display the Seasonal Category in my Recipe Index which can be clicked on to view the subcategories which will also lead to the recipes?
I have ticked the Seasonal category in my recipe index but nothing is displaying. I have edited my posts to use the new categories, too.
]]>I have just published the a new index but the secondary index is not directing to the right blogpost. Instead it is just giving a page like this (https://www.vi-vian.com/indexes/food-2?easyindex=food)
Can you please advise?
Thanks.
]]>Recently, my recipe index (using the EasyIndex Pro plugin) thumbnails have become wonky and not aligning to the text. See here https://marshasbakingaddiction.com/recipes/recipe-index/
How can I resolve this?
]]>Does anyone know if this plug-in is still supported? I created a support ticket (I have the pro version) and haven’t heard back. I have a problem where just one of my indexes shows the wrong images. All of my other indexes are fine. Maybe someone has a work-around? I tried deleting the index, that didn’t help. I’ve edited the index. No joy. When I go to ‘generate indexes’ and select ‘regenerate all’ it generates indexes but the hyperlinks on the page are wrong.

Hi,
i just would like to ask if this behaviour is a normal thing or not:
i added an index page and the related index link into my menu.
if i stay on the primary index, the label of the menu link is the primary index label (es. recipes), but if i go into one of the secondary index (es. appetizers) the label of the menu link changes to that term (appetizers) even if the url link remains (correctly) for the primary index.
I can’t change the index image once it has been set. I just updated an old recipe and wanted to update the index image, but even after adding the new image several times, it still defaults to the old image. Help please!
]]>I have successfully created a text index for my tags. Since my tags are main ingredients in a recipe, I want the index to show a post under each tag where it appears. For example, if a recipe post is tagged with apple and gluten free, I want the recipe to show under both ‘apple’ AND ‘gluten free’ in my text index. Can you help?
Thanks!
Hi! Installation went well. But when I click on most of the categories on the recipe index page, they go to a blank page. A few of them do work. Not sure where to go from here and what to fix. Can you help?
]]>I walked through the steps for creating an index. When I try to preview the index, I get the following error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function displayPrimary() on a non-object in /home/simpleu7/public_html/wp-content/plugins/easyindexplus/lib/EasyIndexPlus.php on line 1104
]]>When I click the index style button, the page reloads but nothing happens – no window pops up.
Also, I can’t choose any page template. Right now, it’s set up as default. On my other pages on the website, I have the option to select with or without a sidebar.
Also, it looks like to choose a different post order on the secondary index, I have to upgrade to EasyIndex Plus. I can’t find this plug in. How do I upgrade? Thanks!
I am testing out the plugin on my multisite with 5 websites in different languages. On 4 of them it works well, but the fith one, a Russian site, I cant edit the default values. The style index wont open up at all and give me alternatives, and no matter which categories I chose, the result shows all categories. Why this problem with this site, and what can I do to fix it? ALl the sites a pretty similar, except for the language.
