Hi. I’m using latest WPEC version and I can’t figure out how to import products from XLS file. I get all failures like this:

Hi there!

Seems the plugin is broken. Install is going fine but wordpress won’t activate because there’s a fatal error :

Fatal error: Call-time pass-by-reference has been removed; If you would like to pass argument by reference, modify the declaration of do_action()

If somebody has a workaround, it would be welcome !

This plug in is a godsend if you’re building out a big wpec shop, but I can’t seem to get product custom fields to import.
The documentation says the header has to be formatted as “meta_Your CF”, but that doesn’t populate the meta fields.
I did an export to verify the header and it’s correct in my file so I’m perplexed.

Please tag your latest version 0.4 release.

It’s dangerous for me to import the trunk onto a production site. There needs to be a stable tag.

Hello, Installed the plugin and successfully export a CSV file with products and variations but unfortunately there is not a column for price.
Doe you have any suggestions or plans to incorporate this?

Exporting products only works for .CSV (XML gives an error php file).

Importing .CSV products only adds the first product from the file, all other products are not added.

Error is:
Argument #2 is not an array in <b>/home/content/xxxxxxxxxxxxx
2011 theme no other plug ins installed (except wp ecommerce).
Any ideas?

Great plugin, it’s helped me solve a ton of problems, but I have a few questions.

– Is there any way to change the deliminator format of the CSV? My clients product database uses a lot of commas in their product names, as a result the CSV file they have provided uses ^ tildes as a deliminator instead of commas…I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to clean up their database anyway, but wanted to know if it was a reasonably easy fix on my end before having them fix it on theirs. (would an sql import fix this comma problem)?

– If I try to import over an existing import, what happens to missing columns? For example, I want to add some content in the initial upload that will NOT be included in my clients csv file (or future imports), I don’t want to overwrite any of my custom fields, suggestions?

– And finally, do you have any advice on automating the process? My client has a csv file that gets updated every night, I would like to update the product database after this happens (I was thinking a cron job, but haven’t set one up in years).

This plugin does not support importing .csv files with non-English characters. Pity!
