I worked in publishing for almost 30 years, and when I started putting out my own blog I sorely missed the editorial calendar for scheduling. And then I found this handy plugin. It does exactly what I need! It’s so easy to move posts from one day to the another, and to see what I have scheduled for the next month. Thanks so much for keeping it up-to-date with the latest wordpress version.

If you need a post-management plugin, Editorial Calendar is the greatest choice.

I’ve been using this calendar for a while and love the simplicity. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do and isn’t bogged down by other non related functions. It could benefit from a little work on the UI, i.e., color coding post status (draft, published). It currently uses a subtle coloring of those statuses, but I’d love to see something more obvious. Given that that’s a personal preference and this calendar does everything else I need, I’m giving it a solid five stars.

I have tried four different editorial / content calendars and was unsuccessful in finding one that did what I wanted.
My needs were simple — show me my scheduled posts in a different display color for each category without making me choose a drop down and viewing categories separately. I wanted one calendar to show my what was scheduled; and to use color to indicate the category of the scheduled post.
Editorial Calendar is doing exactly what I need when none of the others I tried did. I agree with the previous reviewer that the code for this calendar should be part of the WordPress core.
Highly suggested.

just spent two days researching the best system for managing my new blogs. I have 30 blogs lined up and ready to go for a new site. Looked at BUFFER, FEEDLY, EDIT FLOW, HOOTSUITE,etc etc numerous Youtube articles and really all I wanted to do was line them up in draft and send them out to social media networks when ready. I use blogs as newsletters so a subscribe link to my blog page is essential then I can send out the blogs automatically. This Editorial Calendar is just about the bees knees, so simple and so useful. Many thanks …it was such an obvious thing to do you would think it would be part of WordPress.

That is what I’m looking for … It works perfect !!!

If use WordPress in Japanese, this plugin displays Monday to the right and Sunday to the left. It looks like Arabic. I can not stand practical use. FIX for this bug seems easy, but it does not improve for a long time.

This plugin is a must if you are writing more posts in a week and want to easily see how they are distributed.
You can just drag and drop them to change the date – an awesome time saver.

This simply makes planning my posts so easy to see. You don’t need big marketing systems with large monthly fees to plan a few blogs. But you do need the monthly view from this plugin which allows you to see how it will all fit together.

It works all right and it’s very useful although I would love to have the option to change the default status of the posts from Draft to Schedule.

Works as advertised and smoothly.

So useful and work great. Suggestion : I would disable the mouse scroll in the calendar. It interact when you simply try to scroll the page.

Nice clean interface and only takes a few minutes to get the hang of. Shall definately be moving this over to my production site for use on a daily basis.

disappointed that drag and drop doesn’t work. makes the calendar much less useful than i was hoping. would love to know if there’s some trick i’m missing to make drag and drop work.

Very useful and smooth instrument for websites with long-scheduled list of publications.

So easy to use!
One suggestion… could you make it so that under SCREEN OPTIONS > Show on Screen > it would show the Current Month vs X amount of weeks?
Right now, the X weeks at a time does not display for us exactly how we need to see things ??

Had some issues with scheduled posts, but got that fixed now. I really like the draft container.
Doesn’t work on phone screen and doesn’t handle automated promotion to social media. However currently for me the draft container is more useful.

I misuse it as an overview over bookchapters. All the posts of my blog I will make an ebook from, I put in “per-day-chapters”. The “headline” of the chapter/day has 0:00 as time. A still acceptable workaround; it’s still better integrated in wordpress than scrivener etc. and so wonderful pragmatic. But now I’ve to scroll back to January 2014 when I want to add s.th. there. In this case a scroll-down-menue besides the dates-field would be fine and an option for a color-background for “headlines” or something else. Is that difficult to realize? That would be fine. But thank you for the plugin as it is and for your presence!

The graphical interface, the easy quick-edit access, the thoughtful little touches… they all make this an easy plugin to love.
Best of all, unlike so many other plugins, it works with custom post types — and as someone who uses the custom-post-type-based Webcomic, I’m thrilled.

This plugin isn’t overly complicated and that’s what I love about it. It does its job of managing my post schedule and allowing me to move things around very quickly and easily.

Content is king for our blog. I like that this plug-in turns an otherwise messy way of tracking posts into a very simple, visual way of keeping tabs on posts ready to post or better still planning your whole editorial calendar.
I have been using this plug-in for several months now and can’t be more happier. It’s flexible. Easy to use. And the drag/drop feature with posts — brilliant!
Side benefit if you sell products/services directly from your WP you can use this calendar to help plan when to release product. This benefit alone helps with the proper planning and release of products responsibly and when you get the most traffic.
If you run additional plug-ins that tie in your whole social media footprint this is an effective tool that can help no only boost notice of your blog posts but your products/services as well which a plus in my book
