Is there any way I could display “days left” to the expiration date?

]]>Just installed and checking this out… noticed a small bug. On my installation, the plugin was inheriting the “Posts Per Page” setting from Settings -> Reading and thus only expiring a limited number of posts on each run.
I updated the the WP_Query arguments near line 645 to include ‘posts_per_page’ => -1… it solved my issue. Just FYI.
Thanks for hard work, seems to be working very well now.

]]>I have reviewed the FAQ section and i don’t see how to change this. I use Events Manager for my events calendar. I import all my events in with a CSV file. All the date info is imported using the Y-M-D format. I want to use your plugin to auto delete the event post when the event is up but i need to be able to import the end date into the field.
So right now the field use a different date format, how do i change that? When importing in what is the field key? I see this “es_ape_expiry” is this the field i would import into?
Thank you for all your help with this.

It’s possible to display a countdown of the default date expiration in electric studio auto expire post Plugin?
I choosed a default date for a expiration of all Posts. So I need to show when the post will expire, showing every day a day less. Type: I publish a new post, it will expire in 15 days. Tomorrow, you will see that it will expire in 14 days and so on.
I am grateful for the help.

]]>This plugin used to work for me a few months ago, but suddenly it stopped (maybe with wp update? currently using 3.5). It doesn’t automatically set expiry date and if I set it manually it remembers it, but doesn;t change the post to draft.
What is interesting is that I have set up an email to be sent to the post author when the post changes from published to draft and the emails do get sent, which means the plugin does change the status, but then reverts back to published somehow…
any ideas?

I am having little trouble with Post Expiry time VS my Local time.
Plugin seems to check GMT time instead of my Page local time which is set to UTC+2 in my page general settings. Now every time I want to set up post expiry, I have to set it 2hours earlier than real time I am living and my page is set to.
I have missed something about it??

This looks like a great plug-in which should do exactly what I need – but for some reason isn’t. ??
I have set expiry dates and times for my posts which I know are being stored in the database OK as I am able to retrieve and display them in my posts. However when the expiry dates arrive nothing happens – the posts just stay published.
I am using version 1.6.8 of the plug-in with WP 3.4.2.
Can you help?

]]>Hey fellas,
Love the plugin – it seems to be working flawlessly so far. I’m using it to set posts to ‘trash’ after ‘x’ amount of days.
Just a quick question. I have a custom function in my functions.php to fire off an email to a post author when their post is set as ‘trash’. See here: https://pastebin.com/hTZ9GJB2
Now, this function of mine works fine if I manually set a post as trash, but is there any way it can work when your plugin sets a post as trash?
Thanks for any help!

]]>One of my clients is using your plugin in their site, and it looks like you’re overwriting any other cron schedules that other plugins try to implement. The issue is with the add_crons function. You should be accepting a $schedules array and then you would add your schedules to that array and then return it. Here’s a revised add_crons function that fixes this issue:
function add_crons($schedules) {
$schedules['fifteenmins'] = array('display' => __( 'Every 15 minutes' ), 'interval' => 900);
$schedules['halfhour'] = array('display' => __( 'Every half hour' ), 'interval' => 1800);
$schedules['fourdaily'] = array('display' => __( 'Four times a day' ), 'interval' => 21600);
return $schedules;
