Hey folks,
We had a problem where the email octopus subscription form wasn’t appearing for users who are not logged in. It is appearing and working fine for users who are logged in. It turned out to be Siteground’s Speed Optimizer plugin, specifically the “combine Javascript files” setting which was causing the issue. I’ve turned this feature off and fixed the problem. I was wondering if anyone could help identify the Email Octopus js files and processes which I can exclude from js file combination? In order to get the optimizer plugin working more efficiently again.
No biggy! But if anyone does have anything of use to share, we’d be very grateful.
Thanks
]]>Hello, is it possible to automatically send top latest posts of the weeks’ lists to subscribers with this plugin ?
]]>Hi,
Great product and service. Just one thing I would like to do is be able to embed the form into the middle of a page. Unfortunately, the form comes with some styles and the title that I dont think are necessary but I cannot remove.
The CSS has .emailoctopus-form-wrapper { padding: 20px } which throws off my alignment.
And it would be great to be able to disable the header.
Changing these things would make it a lot more flexible, especially for page builder users since I can quite easily add padding and the title if I want them, but as it is, it’s not easy to remove them.
]]>We’ve used this plugin happily for a year or two.
Recently we noticed that the signup form in the site footer is giving an error upon submission: “You’re not authorised to perform that action.”.
I went to check the form settings in WP admin, and I get a blank page when I try to edit the form.
When I create a new form, the edit form page works normally.
I recreated our signup form with the same settings, the edit form page continues to work normally.
When I tried to replace the widget, the change didn’t appear on the website. I’ve tried the ‘legacy widget’ EmailOctopus widget (monochrome calendar icon) and the new EmailOctopus widget (purple octopus icon), but the settings I choose don’t take effect on the site, and in some cases the widget disappears completely.
The plugin page says it’s only tested for compatibility up to WP version 5.6.6, which makes me think that you might need to do some work to make it compatible with the latest version of WordPress core for these issues to be resolved.
]]>hey, after the WordPress update newsletters form editor doesn’t load – shows just an empty page. Any plans to update the plugin?
]]>Hi,
We’re having difficulty getting a signup form working on the checkout page of our site.
Using a EmailOctopus form, we get the following error from the checkout page only:
{“error”:{“code”:”INVALID_PARAMETERS”,”message”:”Parameters are missing or invalid.”}}
The same form on the front page works without issue.
Have you seen this before?
Regards,
Payam

I have a client who wants to move from mailchimp to your service. Currently, that site has a popup that presents visitors with the email signup form. Can I popup your form? If not, is there a shortcode or code method to call the form?

]]>Wondering if the WP Plugin has a shortcode or can just be used on the sidebar via a widget? No info regarding that in the plugin description.
If not, a shortcode would be great to be able to insert it anywhere we want.

You should sync wordpress registered users as well.
