Guide me as your experience, Thanks.
]]>Hi
I really like this plugin but I have a featured video on my frontpage that’s big in size and the Youtube source thumbnail looks pixellated and bad quality. Is it possible to change one videos thumbnail to my own upload to make it look better?
Thanks!
]]>Hi,
I’ve been looking all over for a well-behaving video embed plugin like yours. Most don’t do DailyMotion and I need to get several videos from DailyMotion as well as from YouTube. I have a fairly complex Divi Theme setup. I have a tabs layout where each tab is a different video and it’s a mix of YouTube and DailyMotion. The thumbnail for the first tab shows up but the as I select the other tabs, the space the iframe needs to take is there but the video thumbnail is not – nor is anything select-able. If I do an inspect on the area, the iframe is there but I can’t get to it. It’s as if the first tab is “overlaying” the other tabs so that you can’t select anything in them. Also, at the end of the tabs that specifically for DailyMotion videos, it displays “>” (not on the YouTube tabs – even the ones that “don’t work”) as if there was a problem with the markup.
I’ve made a staging site where I have this functionality isolated and have linked to the page in the field “Link to the page you need help with:” above.
Merci beaucoup !
David

Hi, I tried following this:
echo apply_filters(‘ikevt_video_to_thumbnail’, $videoURI);
Can you show an example of what I put? I assume I only have to replace the videoURI part but with what??
]]>Hello,
is it possible to add a alt or title image tag? My SEO Software highly suggests that.
]]>Hello,
If I use this plugin, all my carousel made with Elementor don’t display properly. I asked support to Elementor and they said this plugin interfere with them.
Is it possible to find a solution? The plugin is very helpful but if I can’t make it work with Elementor I will need to uninstall it permanently.
Best regards
Hello,
I would like to know how I should use the filter to act on videos that are in ACF fields.

Hoe to show video thumbnail on the Mobile screen.
Turned on the option but not working.
]]>
I have the same issue as this post: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/not-working-after-last-update-4/
Plugin is installed and current version.
Both allow_url_fopen option is enabled and php-curl extension is installed and active.
There are no plugin conflicts. (Deactivated other plugins one by one, no change)
Rolled back to version 1.3.0 and still no change.
There is no section in the post editor for the video thumbnail.
There are no thumbnails uploaded to the server.
Had to deactivate plugin because one has to ‘click’ twice for the video to start.
Please investigate.
]]>Have to keep previous version 1.3.0 in order to work properly
]]>I can’t find where should I put the video link?? I selected the products and posts to have videos in them but I don’t see where should I put it??
plz help
]]>When I install your plugin, it also installs “Redux Framework”. Why is this?
]]>Hi,
Thank you for this very efficient plugin ! Any chance to work with Divi video module slider (youtube) ? API is OK but the thumbnails don’t load.

Hi,
I have a few videos on my home page, some are youtube and some are vimeo.
After enabling your plugin it changes all of the youtube videos to the same 1 vimeo video, which looks to be a sample of some kind?
See attached before and after.
Any help is appreciated, thank you.
Mark
Added a video to the sidebar of every page, and now the gtmetrix “defer parsing javascript” error has returned. Does this plugin not work on sidebars?
]]>This might be obvious to some, but not to others. I was using Carbon Fields to store URLs for videos, and of course when I called them up in PHP, they’d just be text. So I used wp_oembed_get, and yep, it created the proper HTML to embed the video.
But because the addresses are post meta, it didn’t figure into the content, which (if I’m not mistaken) is all that gets parsed (and for good reason) when this plug-in runs in to do its business (which it does perfectly!)
So, instead of just echoing out that address, or even the function, I ran it through the content filter:
echo apply_filters( 'the_content', YOUR_VARIABLE_HERE );
and it treats it like it would, as normal page content, and applies the thumbnails just as perfectly.
]]>The plugin works in the body of the note, but at the top of every page with the video a warning is given with an error test: Warning: file_get_contents(https://www.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/videos?part=snippet&id=EABlQDgf_8E&key=AIzaSyDITD1cC36GZoJAZk1n7KzKzgzgru-1jO4): failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.0 403 Forbidden in /home/host1535070/jaesm.ru/htdocs/www/wp-content/plugins/embed-video-thumbnail/src/Ikana/EmbedVideoThumbnail/Provider/Youtube.php on line 63. How to fix this ?
P.S. Now I saw that you were treated with a similar error, but in this case I’m sure of the correct configuration of the Youtube data API, which I just checked.
]]>When a video URL is inside an href link, the plugin replaces the link with the thumbnail, breaking the output of the post.
]]>Hello @ikanaweb
When you register main.js, you should use an array for dependencies: array(‘jquery’)
I use autoptimize plugin, and you’re javascript is loaded before jquery, so it breaks the other scripts.
Thanks for correcting this error.
Best regards and thanks for your plugin.

]]>Hi,
Great job with the plugin. It works perfectly on my standard pages and posts but on AMP pages it is preventing my embedded videos from working.
The functionality is not needed on AMP as they have their own built in thumbnail generator. Can you include the ability to turn off your thumbnail generation on AMP pages of WordPress sites?
Thanks
]]>Hallo,
On a previous occasion, I have used you plugin with a great result in GTmetrix results.
However, on the latest iteration of my blog is does not seem to have any impact whatsoever. The result (and look) is identical when activated or not.
Could you please tell me what I am doing wrong? You can see it in use on the post ‘Playlist: Deep Despair’, when you slightly scroll down.
Thanks for your advice.
Kind regards,
Steven

]]>Hello.
Flawless plugin that is a HUGE help in speeding up the loading of web pages. However, it’s not working with any standard YouTube playlist I embed on any website. It always shows the thumbnail video correctly but under the video there is always a line of code exposed that simply won’t go away. Something is causing it and I cannot figure out what.
I.e.
{{{{ VIDEO THUMBNAIL HERE }}}}
list=PLHi8BvxIhsdgysd763qEmZiYrEj6VMGmTKjt” frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen>
(this code is visible on every page with a playlist embedded. It’s almost as if the code stops halfway where the “?” is in the embed code and just displays the rest)
Any idea how to fix this? ?? Thank you!
]]>Hello. I’ve added one video with the straight URL via the theme and one video with the YouTube embed code. When I enable this plugin, I get the following.
