Is there a way to remove the link attached to the individual shifts? I just want users to view the schedule and not be able to click on the shifts as it just shows a 404 error code anyways.

]]>Hi,
After trying out the basic version we decided to buy a license for the pro version. After paying the “2 site license” we came in our account page and there was a download link. But the link isn’t working and is not giving us the paid version. I tried to contact support but the e-mailadres is bounced. Someone else facing the same problem? Or do I need to go to a different page to download the pro version?
Kind regards,
Mark
I get the following error on a new server I am using. It’s making it so I can’t edit shifts. Is it an incompatibility with the PHP version I am using, or something else? I can’t find in the documentation which PHP version to use with Shiftee.
Here is the error:
Fatal error: Declaration of CMB2_Type_Text_Datetime_Timestamp::render() must be compatible with CMB2_Type_Text::render($args = Array) in /wp-content/plugins/shiftee/shiftee-basic/libraries/cmb2/includes/types/CMB2_Type_Text_Datetime_Timestamp.php on line 13

Do I need to add a new post type for “shift”?

Hey, Shiftee folks!
So, as I mentioned in another post, I’m building a site pro-bono for a local Friends of the Library association, and I will eventually be stepping away from the day-to-day content creation and maintenance.
I will remain the admin, and intend to assign an Editor user-role to one of the staff at the used book shop that supports the library. This person needs Editorial access, but also Shiftee staff access. One or the other isn’t helpful. I thought about asking them to sign in as an Editor when they are working on the site and as a Shiftee Staff when they are creating schedules, but that would absolutely crush buy-in. Is there any thing that can be done to grant the Editor role the same access to Shiftee features as a Shiftee Staff role? I know that I could also make the person an Admin, but that’s way too much power in the hands of someone who’s never driven a WordPress site before.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

I actually DID find the solution to this in an earlier post:

Go to Settings –> Permalinks, and click “Save Changes.”
So, thank you (indirectly), Morgan!

Hey, Shiftee folks!
So, I’m building a site pro-bono for my local “Friends of the Library” and really LOVE that I needed to look for exactly this sort of plugin. If I can figure out how to make this work for them, I see a lot of value-added upsells to future clients, and will choose the premium version every chance I get.
That said, I have a meeting Friday with the Library Friends, and need to solve the problem of why I can edit jobs and shifts, but get a 404, page not found when I try to click on the shifts or jobs…
Any help you can provide would be MUCH appreciated!
Thanks—

]]>Hello, I installed free version to configure it and give it a try before buying the pro version as the video seems to show everything we need.
Im trying to create a shift but the text in the content area is white. At first I thought the content box wasn’t working then I realize that the text I entered was there, but it was white text, therefore I could not see it.
Also there are no fillable fields showing up in the shift details section where I’m supposed to enter the shift times.
I tried reinstalling the plugin. Also tried a different theme and disabling all other plugins. I also tried a fresh WP install and no luck.
Please help, need a solution, thinking about going with homebase.com but want to give this plugin one more shot before I call it quits. Thanks!
I checked features of premium version.
I really like to use this plugin.
But free version almost didn’t work.
When I created new staff and click that link, I saw 404 page error.
And I created new page with this shortcode [today].
But I saw this message only “You do not have any shifts scheduled today.”
I am a wordpress developer, so I think I configured correctly.
But it didn’t work.
Hope to chat with you.
If you want, I can send login credential.
Best regards.
i have created a shift but its not working i tested it with other available themes too please help me ASAP
]]>Hello, I am using the latest wordpress as well as the latest plugin files. I noticed that a user can not request more than one shift at a time because the datetimepicker does not work correctly when entering the shift end time. Once i go to enter the end time on the 2nd shift it updates the end time on the first shift. Very weird but hoping it is an easy fix. PLus everytime I add a new row it adds it above the last one instead of at after. This problem is accross all shiftee forms including the avilability form for the shiftee staff profile settings. It also will not save more than one day even if I enter more than one manually in the boxes. I hope this makes sense. Please help, this on a live site. I have tried with other themes such as fifteen, etc, but get the same results.
]]>I’m going to rant a little, I’m more than a little frustrated.
In a previous issue issue, which I thought was a bug, but turns out to be a feature request, I was able to get the time to display on shift notes. https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/shift-note-not-displaying-time/
This apparently will be a new feature, which is awesome, I love when the devs make great stuff for everyone to use, but with the solution I was given the time does not take into account UTC timezone changes, and so mine is off by 6 hours. That means if the update that comes out has the same solution as what I was given, it will not work.
I noticed this before, if an employee clocked in at 8pm it would say he clocked in the next day. Now that I can see the time I am able to tell why this isn’t working. I’ve worked on correcting the time difference for 4 hours, with no success. So that’s why I came here, to see if someone can help me get the shift notes to come up at the correct time.
I’ve been pretty frustrated, I have been working on the issue of overriding the shift page for about 1 month now. At least, I got the pro membership more than a month ago, so this issue is at least 1 month old.
The most frustrating part is that I even offered to pay them to add the functionality for me, and I never heard back from Shiftee’s support team. I definitely don’t feel like I am getting priority support when I spend $200, don’t get support for 7 days or more at a time, and then don’t hear back when I offer to pay more to get the support I expected to get. It had me looking into other shift management plugins, but I do think Shiftee has the best product out there, and I’d like to make it work. I have it really close to where it needs to be.
If I’m going to stay with Shiftee for more than a year I need to at least hear back from support sooner than 1 week or two after submitting my question. That’s just not priority support, and not how to retain customers.

]]>Hi, I installed Shiftee a few weeks ago, the pro version, and it’s going really well except for one big thing.
The shift notes do not display the time they were submitted, only the date.
I checked the code, I’ve been getting my hands dirty trying to learn how to customize plugins, and it looks like the function is calling both the date and the time, but only the date is being displayed.
Here is a link with a screenshot of what I am seeing: https://prntscr.com/iqubo0

]]>Hi, we followed all instructions and forum help we found. Also saved permalinks. When we enter a shift and save it the preview shows everything except the time we selected when the shift should start and when it should end. Therefore no shift shows up in the calendar and no email is sent out to the employee. Can you help us with that problem?
could that be a caused by non US time or language differences?
Best regards

]]>after a fresh install, I created a few employee and shifts.
Shifts are showed on master calendar and “your schedule” page.
However, shifts cannot be reached as a post.
WP displays a page not found message
URL is with the scheme /shift/[shift-title]
Shift cannot be reached neither from “all shifts” admin backend neither from edit post form with “view shift” button nor from schedule pages
On the other hand a simple WP post can be accessed in a regular way
Any idea what’s wrong ?
