This plugin has been closed as of January 18, 2022 and is not available for download. This closure is temporary, pending a full review.
I do wish that WP would provide more info, to enable plugin users to make an informed decision on what to do.

Also for everyone else, you can set the wp admin language in: user->profile->language setting
You don’t need this plugin, which is probably why its not being updated anymore!

I was a happy user of this plugin until I upgraded PHP from 5.5 to 7.1. Now it doesn’t work. I tried also PHP versions: 5.6 and 7.0 and still does not work.
Keeps redirecting me to : /wp-admin/?admin_custom_language_toggle=0&admin_custom_language_return_url=http%3A%2F%2F%2Fwoo%2F3%2Fwp-admin%2F%3Fadmin_custom_language_toggle%3D0%26admin_custom_language_return_url%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252F%252Fwoo%252F3%252Fwp-admin%252Fplugins.php

When I preview the post in other language, black top toolbar is displayed in other language, not English.

Hi, I see that your plugin is currently not compatible up to the most recent WordPress core version. Are you planning on making it compatible soon? I’m using your plugin on some of my WordPress site and would like continue using. However, if you’re not planning on keeping the plugin compatible with the most recent WP core version, I’ll need to research a new/different plugin that’ll provide the same functionality as yours.

I use woocommerce and when I install English WordPress Admin, part of my site that is woocommerce stop working.
When site is in English everything is working, but when switch to Bulgarian woocommerce disappear.
I try to delete plugin but result is the same.
Can you help me please?
It think that are two independent problems:
1. Your plugin works well as long as i do not activate the “Language Fallback” Plugin. When i activate it, your translation stops working.
2. I don’t use WPML but Polylang. But i get the admin_notices Message: “English WordPress Admin Error”. I don’t understand that notice because i see no problems.
FYI: using Twenty Sixteen Theme without any other Plugins.

]]>There is one bug in the plugin: when adding a new user, the email sent is going in the same language as the panel. For example, my website is in Portuguese and therefore my users speak Portuguese, but I want my adm panel in English. When I add a new user, the email automatically sent is going in English instead of Portuguese.

I use this Plugin perfectly on most sites I setup/use…
recently I moved one site from localhost to online, changed everthing to make everything works with the new domain, everything works except this plugin..
I tried everything, I even clean installed a new WP installation in the same domain ( just with different path ), but still not working, clicking the change to English link do nothing at all, while the exact same configuration on localhost works perfectly !!
I even tried to manually edit the cookie after comparing it to the localhost installation, but still not working

There is always a notice bar asking me to update to latest version even though it is already the latest version of wordpress. For example currently is 4.6, I checked at the bottom the wordpress version is 4.6 but it still asks me to update to 4.6.
When after I updated it still ask me to update to latest 4.6. any solution to this?

Due to a situation that occurred on one of our websites several months ago, we have been needing to be quite strict with the plugins that we use. One of our guidelines is to only use plugins that are compatible with the current version of WordPress.
We’ve been greatly enjoying/appreciating the English WordPress Admin plugin and we’re wondering if the updated compatibility with the latest version (4.5.3) will be listed at some point. Currently the plugin displays as compatible up to only 4.4.4.

I have new WP installation with some plugins installed. But even after switching all plugins off and leaving only EWPA working, it does nothing.
WPLANG line is already removed from wp-config.php
It works well on my few other WP sites but now refused to work.
How can I fix it?

Starting with WordPress 4.3, you can use languages such as “Deutsch (Sie)” (formal German) in your WordPress installation. But if the themes or plugins you are using do not have a translation file for this language, WordPress would use the default language, usually English, instead. With the help of this plugin, you can set a fallback for your chosen language. Every time a translation file is loaded, the plugin will then load the fallback, if a translation for the originally chosen language was not found.

Thank you so much for a great plugin. Many themes and plugins have machine translated texts, sometimes resulting in completely meaningless texts and making support difficult. English WordPress Admin is a tremendous help.

I have latest woocommerce 2.5.5. Woocommerce settings say en_US. The wordpress is using swedish translation se_SV as well the Woocommerce. The Theme is “X” by Themeco.
When customer orders some products, the email confirmation send to customer as well to admin is in original English. If I disable your plugin, it works correctly in Swedish.

I downloaded this plugin and then I tried to change the admin language my site broke down.
It says:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Here is what I’ve tried:
1. I deleted the plugin.
2. I increased the php memory limit in wp_config file.
3. I renamed .htaccess to .htaccess_old.
But still no success! My root website is still working, but it is not a WordPress site. And I’m concerned maybe my .htaccess file for wordpress site is not created, because the one I find in the root folder doesn’t have any wordpress text, just RewriteEngine on / RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST}…
Please can you guide me how to fix my website, any help would be highly appreciated!
