I need assistance with setting up a redirection for an Arabic blog post link. I’ve already added the Arabic (ar) language in the plugin, similar to the redirection for the English version. However, I need to ensure that the redirection for the Arabic version works as expected.

Here are the details:

Today I was testing this plugin. I’m using it for 2 reasons:
1. 75% of my content is old and needs to be redirected to new stuff
2. the posts need to get URL’s without the date in it.

So I did 2 things:
1. I changed the permalinks in WordPress settings.
2. I added /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/ as source URL and /%postname%/ as the target URL.

I tested it and 3 different things happened:
1. When I go to the homepage and click on ‘Blogs’ in the menu and than I click on a title, it works like charm: the new URL is given.
2. But when I copy an old URL in the address bar of my browser: nothing happens.
3. Not the specific post is being displayed, but the blog overview page BUT with the layout being incomplete… ??? (So this gives 2 extra errors, so to speak.)

I deleted the codes strings mentioned in the snippets under [2], refreshed the browser and… nothing happened.

I am working on a Macbook in Safari when I’m logged into my website. The testing was done in both Safari and Chrome, both normal and Incognito.

How can I solve this? All URLs with dates in them, should be postname only.

Hi there, we had some redirects that lead from pdc.org/wildfires to https://www.pdc.org/wp-content/uploads/online-courses/wildfire/index.html#/ but we previously had it point to https://www.pdc.org/wp-content/uploads/online-courses/wildfire/wildfires.html#/. The issue is even after clearing the plugin cache, our site cache, and flushing Cloudfront we still sometimes get directed to the old url instead of the updated one.

For time sensitive changes to where a 301 redirect should lead, what can we do to ensure all visitors are in fact directed to the updated url?

We’re running latest version of the plugin and WP with PHP 8+. Thank you.

On the admin side, when I try to edit a Redirect, it adds the “eps-redirect-edit” to the URL but nothing else happens and I’m unable to actually change the link of the redirect. The Delete link doesn’t work either, which means that currently, I have to duplicate every time I need to change where the links are pointing, make the tracking of clicks somewhat hard to follow and the whole interface quickly becomes a mess of repeating redirections.

I am running into an issue with 301 Redirects plugin where it is creating a redirect chain. I am seeing additional hops that are unnecessary in my opinion.

This occurs with a custom post type on my site.
I initialize my post types on the init action hook.

For my example below, let’s say i need a redirect from /movies/test to /movies/something-else/ and something-else post has post id 12345.

Our admins add the redirect into the plugin by selecting the page from select menu. We are not using custom urls.

Let me describe the hops I see in the network tab.

Hop #1: test/ – Status: 301
Hop #2: ?p=12345 – Status: 301
Hop #3: something-else – Status: 301
Hop #4: something-else/ – Status: 200

What I’d like to do is get rid of the? p=12345 hop as this is not needed. The plugin should get the permalink from the post id and redirect to that.

What do you think is going on here and how might I be able to correct this issue?

Other plugins I have installed that might conflict are Yoast SEO.

This post — https://txhorseproperties.com/properties/2455-bounty-road-perrin-north-texas/ — has been removed from my website, however rather than getting a 404 error a different post with a different url — https://txhorseproperties.com/properties/tbd-county-road-120-gordon-north-texas/ — is being loaded. This seems to happen every time a post has been deleted but a redirect has not been created. My 404 page is https://txhorseproperties.com/properties/404.php

The plugin by default starts with the base domain and allows you to add /link-x/. We however use Polylang’s option for subdomains, so we run en.domain.com rather than domain.com/en/.

Is there a way to utilise your plugin to allow settings redirects from that subdomain structure?

as a result of an adjustment in other software on the website :
– Im required to adjust all the 301 redirects created with the free “301 redirects plugin”
– some of the redirects when changed (aren’t firing)
– Im clearing cache in 301redirects, and then clearing ALL wordpress caches via another plugin
– No change.

Does this happen with every version of 301redirects even the paid for version.

I can delete some of the rules but I thought 301redirects “clear cache” means I shouldnt need to
Has anyone else bumped into a solution for “clear cache” not working?

Mostly I need this plugin to allow custom redirects from “pretty links” that can be shared on social media. However, social media sites, Google, etc all add little tracking codes which stop the redirect working. Please could this be fixed? Anything after a “?” mark should just be deleted before then redirecting…

When exporting a list of all redirects, a lot of them are just page numbers which is not useful. Is there are way to export a complete list of both source and target URLs instead?

It appears that this plugin is triggering an error in canonical.php. Disabling this plugin causes this error to not trigger.

Hi, there are a lot of locked tables due to 301 404 logs, wondering if it’s safe to convert myisam to innodb and why does plugin utilizes myasim?

I seem to be unable to get this to work at all. I want to change my site’s permalink structure from plain to post name. This is a dev site, so I’m okay with taking the time and effort to make this work before making it live. Before installing a plugin, I changed the permalink structure. Despite all of my pages having the changed permalinks, going directly to those new URLs results in 404s. So I installed this plugin.

1. Enabled plugin.
2. Add redirects from the new URL directly to the page. (example: https://sitename.xyz/gallery -> select “page” from drop-down and then select the page.)
3. Still get a 404.

What am I missing?

The little banner after updating the plugin in the admin dashboard “Thank you for installing the?301 Redirects plugin! Please open?Settings – 301 Redirects?to manage redirect rules and view the 404 error log.” will not go away.

It overlaps text on all pages and really disruptive.

Any suggestions on how to remove it?

I just installed this plugin, but when I choose “Manage Redirects” I get the message, “There has been a critical error on this website.”

When I back out of that message, my site works fine. So the plugin is not working for me.

The site is part of a multisite setup, but I just wanted to redirect one broken link that’s showing up on a lot of pages.

I did this : old url : /fr/classe-maternelle-bilingue-paris/ , new url : /maternelle/

But, for my English version, none of them are working. For exemple : “https://www.cours-moliere.com/en/bilingual-nursery-school-paris” should become : “https://cours-moliere.com/en/kindergarten”

I did this : old url : /en/bilingual-nursery-school-paris/ , new url : /en/kindergarten/

I even tried this : old url : /bilingual-nursery-school-paris/ , new url : /kindergarten/

I don’t understand what’s wrong. All the links starting with /en… are not redirecting.

Hi, a client’s site has a custom post type and we want to remove archive so they are just for content to be used on other pages. So I need to request removal if indexed instances and also add redirects.

I want to redirect all of the FAQ post types to the home page with something like below

RedirectMatch 301 ^/\?faq=?.*$ /

Is this possible in the plugin as I can’t seem to get it working?
