Used to love this plugin but it no longer works with latest WP

This plugin is easy to use and works great. It’s allowed our church to run an online bible study that’s been successfully running for six months.

I like the translation too — wasn’t familiar with ESV previously, but it seems fairly close to NIV.

Works well and I like all the options. I think programmin has the right idea about caching the results to lessen load on the server. The only other suggestion I have is to append “ESV” to the scripture reference so folks are clear what version is being used.

I went through a bunch of plugins, thanks for making a winner!

It works, it looks great, but it looks like it actually downloads the scripture on every page load! It should cache the result (it doesn’t change), or at least use transients api, please (https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Transients_API).

As it is now, I would imagine this plugin will cause bandwidth problems on popular pages, especially if multiple scriptures are used.
