Hi!
I’ve been struggling quite a bit to exclude certain images from lazyload.
I’m looking for a wrapper class that makes all the images inside be ignored.
Here is an example of my trying to achieve this:
It does work if I put the class or attribute directly onto the image, but this is not the solution I desire.
]]>When I save them with photoshop as “save for web” the size gets reduced dramatically, 100-300KB
But EWWW doesn’t compress them at all. Why’s that?

Thanks!
]]>I’m having an issue when defining EWWW_DISABLE_ASYNC and importing images with the media_sideload_image() function. Only a webp image for the full size image is created. The expected result would be that a webp variant are created for all image sizes synchronously. Are my expectations here wrong? If they are, is there a different way to get the webp images to generate synchronously?
]]>Hello guys,
When I click on images from my galleries, I see a gray background instead of the images:

I’m using default galleries without any plugins.
Can you help me resolve this?
Thank you!
]]>Hi, we are going to try your tool for image processing and converting to Webp. We are using WP Offload Media and I see that the plugin is compatible. Could you tell us if there are any server-level requirements or if we should take into account anything beforehand? Our server is on Google Cloud / Apache / PHP 8.2.

]]>My images got stuck in infinity ‘In Progress’ status for 3 days!
I clicked ‘Clear Queue’ – it does nothing: page realods and nothing I still see msg ‘Current queue status: idle There are 220 images in the queue currently.’; I updated WP and EWWW to latest version, I rebooted server – nothing helped.
Please help! How I can delete this queue?
I already posted this issue on another forum w/o knowing EWWW had their own forum.
]]>Hi,
I get the following message: Images are already queued for optimization, please check the settings page for more details.
It seems all images have been optimised, but I can’t re-optimise it if I wanted to. I don’t want to, but it should still give me the option.
There’s no clear queue button.
Cheers,
Nathan

I’ve had this error message in the console for a while now, for every page. I checked the old versions of the plugin and pinpointed it to version 7.2.0, that’s when that error got introduced.
What changed in that version that could be causing it? The site is running Docker on AWS, images are offloaded to S3 with Offload Media if that makes a difference. I don’t use Easy IO.
]]>I’ve seen support posts about excluding images from optimization, but is it possible to only exclude them from having a ‘WebP’ image created?
I see an exclusion box for listing “JS WebP and Picture Web Exclusions”, but this seems to be just for the Javascript “delivery method” for Cloudflare (which we do use).
]]>Hi,
is it possible to turn off the console log output on lazy load. I do not need this^^°

]]>I just optimized 100,000 images selecting “webp only” as everything was already optimized. If I go to the end of the Media Library, most images have a webp link, but none of our recent images do, unless clicking re-optimize.
All images seem to be listed in the “view optimized images” page as optimized in the recent batch, but aren’t all being served as webp on the front end. So it looks like many images were optimized again, just not for webp.
]]>Hi!
We just noticed, that the native WP post gallery is broken, when ‘Lazy Load’ feature of ewww io is active.
Please fix asap – thank you very much!
Kind regards, Gerald
I’m unclear how you change back to jpg after optimizing for webp. Just deselect webp conversion and optimize again?
Would like to know before optimizing everything in case there’s a problem.

]]>Hi, I am confused about which option I have to select in WebP Delivery Method in Easy Mode. I am using Cloudflare so which is better?
This Image will help you to understand this more better.
I am using Kadence Pro Theme.
]]>We found that enabling the plugin increases initial page load by 7-8 seconds. We have lazy loaded images below the viewport and all images on this page is coming from EWWW cdn. But only full size and 150×150 were created, no medium_large, i don’t understand why.

Theme is a customized twenty sixteen (not child).
How can i find why it’s not being created?
]]>I’ve used the free version of this plug in for years. I am currently on a trial of the paid version because I was considering upgrading. I used the Easy I/O, which converted images to webp. Now I have a bunch of missing images. I started this blog in 2009, needless to say I’m not trying to fix this issue manually post by post but I can’t figure out any other options. But I just fixed three images and what I can discern is the images were changed to webp, but the links in the blog posts are still looking for the jpg files. Is there a way to fix this in bulk? Any help/information on how to fix this would be appreciated.
]]>Hi there.
About 3 hours ago, all of the images on my website went down.
I found the image addresses from inspecting my web pages, to an exactdn.com domain.
When navigating to any of these images, I would be directed to bunny.net, suggesting something along the lines of “access to their CDN is revoked or broken.”
The bunny.net website has a status page, suggesting there’s some endpoint API errors today.
It took me a while to troubleshoot and figure out what was causing the issue, as I had never heard of bunny.net, I didn’t know which plugin was associate with this service.
I will need to keep the EWWW plugin disabled until this is resolved.
Are you aware of and investigating an issue with this service?
Hello,
It seems there is a problem when using a CDN to host my website images. I configured a CDN (AWS Cloudfront) and set it up in WP Rocket.
I’m using the JS rewriting option, that should be compatible with caching systems I think ?
(I had to use the “force WebP” option too, or a lot of images weren’t converted to WebP, even when WebP was smaller…).
With the CDN option disabled in WP Rocket, it works fine, all images are replaced with their WebP version. But when I enable the CDN, it breaks the functionnality, all images are back to their original format :/
Am I missing something regarding the config, or is this a bug ?
Thanks !
]]>Hello,
I have a lot of image credits still, and after updating my WordPress to 6.6, this plug-in says it hasn’t been testing for this version of WordPress. Do you plan to update it soon?
Thank you.

]]>Hi,
I have been communicating for 2 weeks and the authors of the WP Dark Mode plugin, which becomes broken as soon as I activate your EWWW plugin (which I want to continue using). Support from the WP Dark Mode plugin found out (I gave them login information directly to my live page to look at it) that the “Easy IO for all resources” function from the EWWW plugin is responsible for the incorrect functionality of WP Dark Mode.
Specifically, when they turned off the option:
Include All Resources
Use Easy IO for all resources in wp-includes/ and wp-content/, including JavaScript, CSS, fonts, etc.
Then the WP Dark Mode plugin started working properly.
But I want to have the Easy IO function turned on for all resources.
That’s why we wanted to use the Exclusions function you have in your EWWW plugin and proceed with the WP Dark Modre plugin support, according to your guide how to exclude things from Easy IO https://docs.ewww.io/article/68-exactdn-exclude.
And we also tried several variants of excluding the WP Dark Mode plugin from Easy IO:
However, neither option worked (of course we also cleared the cache).
Therefore, we became aware that the given Exlusions function in the EWWW plugin does not work properly.
Could you please look into it and fix the problem?
Because I plan to subscribe to your EWWW plugin for a year, but at the same time I want to continue using the WP Dark Mode plugin.
Thank you very much for your early reply.
Sincerely
Dominik Kozmáli
After installing and running the image optimization tool, about 50% of the images on the linked page stopped loading. The only way to fix them seems to be to permanently delete the broken images from the server and reupload the image.
I suspect the optimizer tool is doing something that corrupts the image files or otherwise prevents browsers from properly displaying them. Strangely, when viewing the page in the Divi visual builder, the images will display, but once out of the builder, the images show the error icon.
