I have now a fantastic grid showing my products. I want to show the inventory on this grid as well. where can I add / change stuff like:

I’m just wondering if you have plans to add Product Tags to the iThemes Exchange Custom Loop plugin. I love this plugin. It makes life much easier.

Is it possible to control the thumbnail dimensions of the product image in the shop page loop using this plugin? I’m working with product images of different dimensions, but I’d like the shop page to display images in neat rows with identical image sizes. Currently the width is fixed to the column size, but the image height is not.

Here’s the page with the issue

I currently have the setting configured to show 6 items on a give page. There area more than 6 items in the store. I only want 6 items to be available on a specific page. It’s showing 6 items as expected. *But* it’s showing the pagination links at the bottom of the grid to see more items. I don’t want there to be an option to see more items.

Is there a way to do this?

I’d like to know if there is a way to include these categories in a Widget?

I have tried the iThemes Exchange Product Category Widget, and while the categories who up with no problem, a selection returns the iThemes exchange category pages which all say “Archive” at the top.

I inquired with iThemes support and they said that is what their widget does, using the iThemes default product page template. The recommended the following article to mod these, which I had already seen and initially led me to your plugin;)

thanks for a great plugin, it works exactly as described.

I am using Members Only Products Add-on and have some products hidden from the store page for non-members, but using your custom loop still displays them.

Is there a way to inherit the show/hide functionality for non-members set by the Members Only Products Add-on?

Hi Ronald, I was super excited about this plugin because it was able to do exactly I wished Exchange could do out of the box.

The problem is that when using the plugin, it strips out the the custom content created with Beaver Builder. Incidentally, Beaver Builder was recommended to be used with ithemes Builder by your very own Benjamin Bradley in one of your recent training courses.

Here’s the issue:

Hi, since I’ve download the new versione of wordpress, my store and all the categories are not showing in the right way. I hade set to have 4 rows and insteda remains in only one row.

Hi,
Im using ithemes builder and and exchange for the shopping experience.

I was hoping to use this plugin so as to add a “related product” section to end of a product page. But when I use the “Embed Super Widget” in the custom loop areas – Im getting an php error.
Fatal Error: Maximum function nesting level of ‘100’ reached, aborting!

Do you have any suggestions how I might overcome this? I really do appreciate what this plugin can do and hope I can get it to work.

I have 2 membership products in Exchange. I installed the custom loop add-on and tried to get it to show only the membership products on a page. It says “No Products found”. I also get that error when I have it display all products (I also have 1 physical product). What am I missing?

Hi!
I’ve added some new categories to my Exchange store.

I created new pages that correspond to those categories. When I check the box to enable iThemes Exchange Custom Loop, within the iThemes Exchange Custom Loop Options only the “old” categories show up, not the new ones I’ve created.

Is there a refresh for iThemes Exchange Custom Loop that I need to trigger? I haven’t added items to the new categories yet – is that required?

Hi Ronald,

Just wanted to say “thanks” for the great plugin you have written for ithemes exchange. It really helps manage displaying particular products on pages.

When ithemes exchange was updated from 1.31.0 to 1.32.0, I noticed that on pages where the custom loop is enabled, instead of the shopping cart displaying its contents, it now displays the “Buy Now” and “Add to Cart” buttons.

This is very confusing for the customer as they can see the “Buy Now” and “Add to Cart” button when there are multiple products on the page.

1. Can I change the products order view in category page? What can I do to solve this?

2. Can I translate or change the https://mysite/product-category/…/ slug in the URL? Can I insert some string in my own template that I have created “taxonomy-it_exchange_category.php”.

It works well for me but I cannot understand if I can change order and slug using it

I have installed Custom Loop Add-On and everything looks great…. until I try to display any page subsequent to page 1 on the store page.

When I click on ‘Next Page’ the URL displayed in my browser updates (from https://www.winework.com/?page_id=1330 to https://www.winework.com/?page_id=1330#038;paged=2) but the page does not refresh and the content displayed does not change.

Clicking on a page number in the Custom Loops pagination is likewise ineffective.

I have created a new (test) page from scratch to see if that resolves the issue, it doesn’t. I have tried altering the display order of products, and this shows a different selection of products on page 1, as it should, but I still can’t view any subsequent pages. I have checked the page in Firefox and Chrome, same results.

Any clues as to what the issue may be?

Hi!
I’ve entered details for about 70 items into my first site using Exchange and put each of them into categories. Using iThemes Exchange Custom Loop I’ve put each category onto its own page within the site. The first page of items related to to a category display correctly. But when you click to go to page two (or three) the items disappear and are replaced just by brief descriptions.
The weirdest one is the “All” page – this page is just completely blank, no text, no images, no header, no styling, quite literally a blank page.

I created a category page and chose to list the Life Learning Learning Category products on this page:

In Chrome, it displays just fine. After clearing the cache, the loop displays twice in Firefox and Safari.

I’ve been adapting the sort order dropdown, changing names and deleting options that I don’t need (Don’t need sort by date)… And thought that having the ability to change text, order and options in the dropdown list would be great (without having to edit the init.php).

In regards to sort selection — Is there perhaps a way to sort by category? My client just handed me some updates whereby now there are a dozen or so categories for the products (and a product can be in multiple categories). My initial thought is to create a product page with the loop add-on for each category and then have a dropdown menu. But then it would be handy to have 1 product page with all categories but give the user the possibility of just displaying certain categories with the dropdown select. Thoughts?

I love the plugin. I do have one issue though as the grid view won’t change to list view on smaller screen sizes even though I’ve definded a viewport for the change in the settings. Hy Ronald. This winderful plugin works perfectly.
I’ve seen an only problem in the store page that i’ve set (before) with 3 columns of product and 9 product per page. I didn’t see that the function of next page didn’t work, mining that if you clisck on the second page or on next page, the first only page opens again.
This problem is only in the store page ( that at the moment I’ve set as an only long page for this problem).
For the categoies instead it works perfectly.
I don’t have any plugin for optimize css, or else…
Can you help me with that?

I can’t seem to get the store to change from grid view to list view when the viewport is below a certain width, it stays in grid view? It displays the correct number of products and the number of columns I’m specifying, but it just doesn’t change to list view at a smaller width.

I’m working on a localhost server so can’t give you a link to the site unfortunately.

Hi there, I hope you can help with this problem.

I am using the iThemes Exchange Custom Loop Add-on as advised for setting Custom loops in the store and category pages.

However, no matter how many items I select to be displayed on the store page, it always displays all of the items.

The pagination adjusts at the bottom, but the displayed items do not. For example, if I choose to display 12 items per page, the store page still displays all of the items in the entire store on one page, but nevertheless the pagination appears at the bottom to suggest there are three more pages of products – but each paginated page shows a repeat of the same products (because there are no more to be displayed.

The site is currently hidden, but can be accessed by first going to this url and then navigating from there to the Shop page where the issue can be seen.

Please note also that pagination is working correctly on category pages, where I am also using the Custom Loop Add-on.

I am attaching two screenshots of the Custom Loop settings, so that you can see what is meant to be going on there.

I’m having a hard time figuring out where and how Custom Loop shows up in the Exchange menu. I installed it from the plugins directory, manually activated it in the plugins section, and then double checked in the Exchange add ons to see it activated there as well. But no Custom Loop doodad appears in the Exchange menu. How do I get it? Where is the “write page” screen referenced in the instructions? Thank you.

Hy Ronald i’ve edit the new page and ok the products are shown in the right way but still the categories are not shown as the store. do i have to edit a new page also for the categories?
i’d like also to know if there is the possibilities to change the settings of an already pubblished page ( the one i’ve used as the store page with the short code) because when i’ve set all in this page the only change was the 3 columns instead of two. This would be useful not to loose the range in google search.
