I noticed the other thread opened about whether or not this plugin is being maintained. It seems it has been a while since it was last updated and we would also like to offer our support if needed to maintain this as I believe it is needed!
Thanks!
]]>Is this plugin being maintained/updated for WP v < 4.7?
@fjarrett let me know if you want/need help in maintaining/updating.
Hello,
1. I would like to know if your plugin supports buddypress
2. Please enable email notification to users that will serve as reminder that they need to change their password prior to they actual day the password will expire.
Thanks
]]>Hello,
This plugin looks extremely useful, I’m looking to find out if firstly you can test the plugin with the latest versions of WordPress and update the plugin page to state its compatibility, this also may give your plugin more users as currently, it’s showing as untested with the latest version.
Secondly is this WooCommerce compatible? We would like to enforce our customers change their passwords every 90 days to ensure account security. What would be the customer journey upon logging in would they be taken to the backend WordPress password reset screen to reset their password?
Thirdly we also use 2FA authentification for our admins and site contributors: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/two-factor
Are there any issues with these two plugins working side by side?
Kind regards,
Antony.
I created a custom profile in WordPress 4.9.4.
But it’s not working …. when will it be compatible with this version?
]]>Hello. I installed Expire Passwords 0.6.0 three months ago and configured it so administrator passwords would expire after 90 days. Today when I logged in it had me reset my password. So far so good… but after successfully resetting my password, when I log in again it has me reset my password again. And so on in a seemingly infinite loop. I solved the problem by going to my webhost cPanel and deleting the Expire Passwords plugin files. My site is https://arlingtonporchfest.org. thanks for looking into this
]]>Hello,
Question before installing the plugin
Is it compatible with wordpress 4.8
Is it compatible with all plugins
Is it compatible with all templates
Thank you
]]>Hi,
We want to use the latest version but notice it has an older GPL License. Are you able to supply the latest version with GPL 3?
Thanks in advance.
]]>Hi Frankie,
Thanks for the answer in the other topic ??
Another question though …
Why did you choose to check for pwd expiration after successfull login ?
I mean, that just doesn’t make sense. A user whose password has expired should not be able to login in the first place …
Hooking the pwd validation check before login makes more sense to me …
All that is required for the pwd validation check is a valid username.
But I might have missed something. There may be very good reasons why you chose to do things your way.
Other than this issue it’s a pretty neatly coded plugin ??
]]>Hi Frankie,
Just a short question.
Are already logged in users (on page refresh) redirected to the password reset screen when their passwords expire ?
On github I noticed this quote:
]]>Users with expired passwords are redirected to the password reset screen upon sign in.
Hi Team,
We are the password expiry plugin on the website. We are facing some issue suddenly with the plugin feature. The password expiry feature is not working for the specific user on the website. After resetting the password using the link is looping back to the same password reset page. Can you please guide me to fix this issue.
Thanks in Advance,
-Calabe
I’ve been playing with the plugin a bit and noticed that the password expiration policy is only affecting users created after the plugin installation? Is that correct or is it something not working properly in my setup?
]]>hi! I’ve installed it on my multisite but can’t seem to find how to set the policy at a network level? Do I need to set every single site separately?
Thanks!
Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to expire passwords for all users with a button? Immediately forcing all users to update their passwords?
If not, would it be possible for you to add this feature?
Thanks
]]>I’m very interested in forcing our users to use stronger passwords and to change them once in a while.
Is it safe to install this plugin since I believe there are going to be some password changes with the 4.3 release?
Thank you for all you do.

FYI: I get the following fatal error every time I log in. It would seem the get_editable_roles() is being called before it’s loaded.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_editable_roles() in /wp-content/plugins/expire-passwords/expire-passwords.php on line 169
]]>I was testing this plugin out and when the password expired, I tried getting a reset email, but when I tried submitting my username or email, I got the message, “Password reset is not allowed for this user”.
I looked everywhere to see if there was an option to change this, but I found nothing. How do you fix this?
