After updating to WP 4.3, changing a user password does not work.
Scenario – Update Password on User Profile
Reproduce
Observe
Expect
To be able to update a users password and for it to not be expired after updating.
When you try to enter the matching password the first password is cleared and you can’t get past 1 or 2 characters. I know this hasn’t been updated for a while but I think it’s a great plugin. Maybe someone has a workaround?

I haven’t find any solution for it. Please help.

While testing this plugin, I tried leaving the new password fields empty during the reset process. To my surprise, it didn’t say I wasn’t allowed to do that but said that the password was successfully reset! However, you can’t have an empty password in WordPress, so this effectively locks the user completely until an admin fixes it.
]]>The only feature I am looking for is to force all users to reset their password the first time they login. I have imported all the users from another site and set everyones password to a specific password. This is the initial password they are going to use to log in. However, i never want them to use this password again. Even though i have “Force change on first sign in” set to YES, it never asks the person to change their password. What am i doing wrong?
Many thanks,
Houston
Great plugin! The individual expire action works great but the bulk action is missing. WP version 3.9.2
]]>I get fatal error when login
Fatal error: Call to undefined function login_header() in /xyz/wp-content/plugins/expirepassword/classes/public.expirepassword.php on line 205
When using theme my login plugin along with expirepassword plugin.
I need the user to enter the password each time for a particular post or page, not to login as a user. With the standard WP install, the password is cached as a cookie. Would your plugin work for this?
]]>When I enable this plugin, I am getting a white screen whenever I try to login as any user. Any suggestions on resolving this?
]]>The option to “Bulk Expire” accounts does not show up in my bulk menu.
]]>I am looking for a plugin that will restrict the CMS user from using the same password twice. This is for a financial institution that requires CMS users to use different passwords every time they are required to reset.
This Plugin caught my attention since the description mentioned, “…enforce a change to a new, different password before they can login again.”
Can someone confirm that this plugin would be a good fit for my needs?
Thank you,
Julia
]]>Hello,
I have version 1.2.1 of Expire Password installed under WP Multisite 3.5.1. I can expire passwords galore (and I even checked the db and their meta info has an expired password token), but when they login, the old password works just fine and they are not given the “Your password has expired” form as shown in the plugin screenshots.
I have tried this under all combinations on the Settings page (eg: both “Yes please” and “no thank you” for “Limit Settings to Network Admin”). I have tried to both click “expire password” on the users page and set the “Force change on first sign in” to “yes please”. But the users can still login with the same old password and not have to change it.
I really want this plugin to work so I am submitting a support ticket instead of just marking it “doesn’t work” and uninstalling.
Thanks!
]]>Installed the plugin and looks to be everything I need. Thanks you for your efforts.
Everything seems to be running and working fine but the “expire passwords” is not showing up in the “bulk actions”. Any suggestions on what might be causing this?
Thanks in advance!
