My categories aren’t showing up in the dropdown in the widget settings… only “All categories”. Is there something I’m missing?

Hi ~ i am using your plugin on an Edin theme and having some difficulties, the Edin team suggested that i post here.

first, i would like to say that i selected your plugin because of it’s simplicity regardless of the fact that it said it was not compatible with WP 4.0… the main purpose was to reverse the order of the posts in my “Recent Posts” stack

the first problem i encountered was that the link font was much bigger than the theme’s version, which you can see here: ( https://www.effetti.co/?p=351 )
* regretfully i did not take a screen shot of the larger font ;(…

the second problem, which showed up today, was a complete disappearance of the link content and replacement with just bullets as you can see here: ( https://www.effetti.co/?p=352 )

suggestions on fixing this, so that i can get back to the original theme style and just take advantage of the reverse stacking order ? ? – db

Now my question:
I want to show 3 Posts previews with your widget on the top of my Homepage parallel and not one below the other.

The new sidebar is includet and it shows your widget, but just one below the other and i dont know, how i can display the previews parallel.

Can you pls help me?

I really like this plugin. Easy to use, although it could use the standard widget markup for title and content, so that one doesn’t need to change the css just for this widget.

This plugin is great — I love the control it offers.

However, sadly, it suffers the same problem as I just posted about here:

I was trying to use this as a replacement for Advanced Recent Posts and certainly will in the future where it does not go head-to-head with another site feature. Unfortunately, I can’t use it for now.

So far this widget looks to be exactly what I need, but I just don’t understand one part… I’m using my POSTS for a basic product display. So where I refer to “product” I mean Post ??

Product: Red Shoes , Category: Shoes , Tag: Red
Product: Red TShirts, Category: Tshirts , Tag: Red
Product: Blue Shoes , Category: Shoes , Tag: Blue
Product: Blue TShirts, Category: Tshirts , Tag: Blue
Product: Purple Shoes , Category: Shoes , Tag: Purple

I can make the widget display Red, Blue and Purple, when the category is set to Shoes
e.g.
TAGS:
RED
BLUE
PURPLE

BUT if I click on the RED it brings me to a list of ALL products with RED tag, instead of just all the RED tags within the SHOES category (which was the selected filter for the widget originally).

Is this possible? Thanks!
