Hola, Byron, escribo en inglés por si alguien tiene el mismo problema.

I was testing external-rss-reader with a 3.1, and it worked extremely good, it was exactly what I was looking for: agregating 30+ podcast feeds.

Now I’m setting up the site on a new server with 3.4, and it doesn’t work properly.

I don’t mean it doesn’t work at all, because the fact is that, whatever it be, page or widget, it only loads posts from one blog, WordPress Blog. It doesn’t matter which feeds I add, they won’t be displayed. Even the other feed provided as sample, https://feeds.feedburner.com/weblogtoolscollection/, is neither loading.

I have tried with different categories, and other combinations.

Also tried different versions of the plugin, including 0.6alpha.

Isn’t the plugin working any longer with new versions?
Will it ever be updated?
Does anybody knows an alternative plugin for this purpose?

Hi,

I’m using your plugin on my blog and it works fine. The content of the RSS feed is displayed on my page.

But when I try to use the [sil_rss_list_blogs] shortcode on the sidebar (using a text widget) to list the names of the blogs, it doesn’t work. The name of the shortcode is shown instead of the list of the blogs.

Other shortcode plugins installed on my blog are working on the sidebar. Any idea ?

Hello. Bug with diacritic when shorting rss content:

I fixed it by adding this to sil_rss_reader.php line 1859.
$content[$i] = preg_replace(“# [^ ]+$#”, “”, $content[$i]);
$tmpOutput = str_replace(‘[content]’, $content[$i], $tmpOutput);

It is deleting all after last space. Can you place something like that into next version of RSS reader, please? Thanks.

I have a client who wants a wordpress site built. On every page of the site there would rss feeds from multiple sources but specific to certain categories i.e. world, local, religion…
I would also need to filter the feeds per certain keywords.

is this plugin capable of doing this?

and if not can you point me in the right direction?

Hi,

I was trying to do put a few entries from several feeds on a single page. Here’s my exact code example:

Feed 2
[sil_rss:2:feed:2]

Feed 1
[sil_rss:2:feed:1]

And what happens is that I get all of the items from Feed 2, ignoring the second entry. I tried many variations using content, feed, widget and category.

Second, it seems that the third parameter category doesn’t do anything at all for me, or maybe I don’t understand how to use it.

Help appreciated.

hi,
i can’t edit category items
in the edit category page the items list is empty (such this) and i can’t add , remove or edit anything
