Hi
I have been using this plugin for quite some time with no problems. However, it seems that it is not working any more.
Have anyone else the same experience? (If no, then it must be something else on my site causing the issues)
I am on wp ver. 5.2.4 – but the problems started earlier.

Chrilles
Hello,
I am using your plugin on my page to hide specific content on a single page.
When I use the shortcode to display content for specific user roles, everything is working correctly. (e.G. [eyesonly level=”administrator, customer_role”]). Then the content is displayed for administrator and the customer_role correctly.
But when I try to display content just for users with [eyesonly username=”test”] the content for the logged in user “test” is not displayed at all. The page is empty.
What did I do wrong? Why is the content not displayed just for usernames?
Looking forward hearing from you
All the best
Wolfgang
Does it the shortcode [eyesonly] (for a defined group) word with a menu? How to do that?
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
I’m seeing both fileaway tables drawn in a stack when I’m logged in. Have I set this up incorrectly?
tl;dr the only difference is logged out has no manager mode and no flightbox.
[eyesonly logged=out][fileaway type=”table” sub=”players-2015″ makedir=”true” mod=”yes” bulkdownload=”on” redirect=”true” drawerlabel=”File Name”][/eyesonly][eyesonly logged=in][fileaway type=”table” sub=”players-2015″ makedir=”true” mod=”yes” bulkdownload=”on” flightbox=”multi” manager=”on” redirect=”true” drawerlabel=”File Name”][/eyesonly]

Hi!
Firstly thanks for the awesome plugin!
Secondly I am having issues with nesting the shortcode on a multi user site that I am building (currently on MAMP) using Buddypress and Page Builder. Here’s what I would like to do…
1. Restrict access to users who are not logged in (display a message), hide the message once a user has logged in.
2. Restrict access to ‘level 1’ users (display a second message), hide the first & second messages once a level 2 or admin user logs in.
3. Allow content through for ‘level 2’ and ‘Admin’ users.
This would only happen on certain pages…
Just a bit confused as to a logical sequence of the shortcode nesting. Would appreciate your help!

Hi,
This plugin is exactely what I looked for a while, simply with the use of shortcodes. Thank you to have achieved that !
Unfortunately it doesn’t work completely ??
I want the content be shown for specific user logged in, and the shortcode is : [eyesonly username=”specific_user” logged=”in”] Content Here [/eyesonly]
So the content is shown when “specific_user” is logged in, and not appears if he not logged in. But the content appears too when another user (who should not see the content) is logged in.
I tested “eyesonly”, “eyesonlier” and “eyesonliest”, no change (what is the difference between those ?)
Any idea to solve this ?

Hi
I’ve the following in my page
[eyesonly level=”Employer, Administrator”][wpjb_resumes_search][/eyesonly]
But for some reason the user role Employer can not see the content.
I’ve double checked and the user role is spelt correctly. I’m not sure what I can be doing wrong here it seems quite simple to configure.
Any ideas?

Thank you for this very useful plugin!
I have been struggling with an issue for a while but I think I have finally worked out what is going on.
The problem is a strange series of UI issues on post edit pages. Perhaps similar to the issue reported here.
Long story short, it is a resources issue. On my setup Eyes only uses a huge amount of memory. With all of my other plugins enabled a post edit page uses 23 MB of RAM. If I enable the Eyes Only plugin this jumps to 256 MB. I have 1024 MB available for WordPress to use so I am not maxing out but I am pretty sure this is the problem.
So, this isn’t a plugin conflict but rather a plugin (Eyes Only) using a huge chunk of resources which is causing issues for the UI loading when other plugins also need resources.
Is there anything that could be done to make the Eyes Only plugin more efficient?

I would like to hide them but allow search engines to find the hidden contents.
Will that be possible??

I have not yet installed your plugin, but I want to make sure it does what I need to accomplish. Lets say I have a page called “test”. In this page I like to display text and image for three different roles. Is this the right plugin for this.

Hello,
Thank you for making this interesting plugin.
It works perfectly in posts but has no effect when inserted in comments. The shortcodes do not hide the content and can themselves be seen on the page.
Any solutions for that?

I also tried to limit viewing of the user id field only to one specific user – eyes only made the user id visible to everyone of all levels. Is there a way to limit a particular field in profile builder to only the administrator? Thanks.

Hi,
I love this plugin, but it’s creating a major security loophole in my site.
For security, I have a ‘hidden’ login page (because I only want people to log in via the home page, so they are always redirected here.
Where I have wrapped Eyes Only text not available to logged out users, the default text says ‘please log in to view this content’ and sends people directly to my hidden login page!
How can I change this text so it links directly to the home page?
Thank you!

Hello! I need to find out a way to show, on a popup or page, content/messages, depending on user’s last access.
If there won’t be any pages or posts added (by admin, for example), users will only see a message saying: “there is not any news since your last login”, but if admin or users will create a post/page, when a user log in, a message will be saying: “this is what you’ve missed…”
I don’t if I’m making myself clear
Thanks a lot for your time.

Hi,
first of all thank you for providing the plugin!
I just wanted to tell you that the restriction by user doesn’t work if the username contains spaces!
Also in the description I see that you wrote “The ‘username’ attribute takes any userlogin (username), or multiple, separated either by spaces or commas.”
I think this may be the issue since you apparently assume that usernames don’t contain spaces.
Is there any quick way to resolve this issue?

Thomas and Kevin,
My post and page editing pages in the wp-admin area are not loading the other plug-ins after I installed Eyes Only. Also, the “screen options” tag/button at the top of the page doesn’t work.
Here is an Image of a a Page Edit screen with Eyes Only Activated:
https://www.hippressurecooking.com/paz/eyesonlyON.png
Here is how it looks when I de-activate Eyes Only:
https://www.hippressurecooking.com/paz/eyesonlyOFF.png
Ciao,
L
P.S. As a work-around I turned off “Eyes Only” in the Admin Area using Plug In Organizer but ideally, this plug-in would play nice and not stop all of the other plug-ins custom field areas from displaying.

hey
when i add the following shoirtcodes to my page, it shows both the content (for customer and vendor) to both customers and vendors.
the customer user role is generated by woocommerce and vendor role by wc-vendors plugin.
[eyesonly logged="out"]
You need to be logged in to see this content.
[/eyesonly]
[eyesonly level="customer" logged="in"]
[contact-form-7 id="17940" title="Vendor Application"]
[/eyesonly]
[eyesonly level="vendor" logged="in"]
You already have vendor privileges!
[/eyesonly]
I tried this too:
[eyesonly level="customer, vendor"]
[eyesonlier level="customer"]
[contact-form-7 id="17940" title="Vendor Application"]
[eyesonliest level="vendor"]
You are a vendor already!
[/eyesonliest]
[/eyesonlier]
[/eyesonly]
but for vendor it shows nothing!

The offending code appears at line 196/197 of sseo-shortcode-generator.php:
$blogusers = get_users('blog_id='.$blog_id.'&orderby=nicename');
foreach ($blogusers as $user) {echo '<option value="'.$user->user_login.'">'.$user->user_login.'';}
