I needed a way for different customers of my client to be able to only access their analysis downloads and this fit the bill I was going to use Mr Starks File Away but it was far more than I needed in this instance. eyes Only is simple easy to use and damn clever for how it handles display of content MY client has 6 airlines he manages the airport analysis data for and we are able to procide each customer with their download using one simple page based off the short code for each customer
[eyesonly level=”administrator” username=”the_customers_username, rwywayne” logged=”in”]The Customer Specific COntent here[/eyesonly] This is the simplest of usages for this amazing plugin and as I delve deeper into it eg nesting tags IM sure I will find other creative ways to use this Mr Stark I WILL be sending you a donation!

It works exactly as described. Its great with short-codes inside of custom post types with many different user groups. I didn’t run into any compatibility issues with my theme or other plugins. The only suggested feature I would like is if it could hide the entire post.

Exactly what i needed. I wanted to show each customer his own page with a chart of his data on it. But nobody else except the customer and admin should see it. And that could be accomplished with this plugin. In addition I created a username for each customer, and a login for each customer on the frontend of his own page, for their convenience.

What a nice and useful plugin!!!!!
Works perfect on WP 4.2.3 too.
Customize the post content for each Role can be really a usefull feature, to show different shortcodes to different roles, for example.
Thake up your good work!!! 5 stars

Thank for this plugin’s idea. When you don’t need a full membership website, this plugin is very relevant. I’ve decided to use it on my personal website. It’s working very good.
It has only two weaknesses for my use. But actually I can’t tell if these 2 weaknesses are because of the plugin itself or because of my premium theme and my 15 other plugins installed.
These 2 weaknesses are:
– To use properly on my ecosystem, I have to create user account with their email addresses.
– It seems Eyes Only shortcodes with this 1.8.2 version work properly inside widgets only for one user each time and not for several. Maybe later?
Thanks to the team, especially thomstark who was here to help me within one hour on a ‘bloody’ Sunday.
Eyes Only plugin is a very good one. I made lots of tests with several subscribers accounts, and the plugin seems robust.

I like the way we can make access to posts very specific. Would love to see a feature that the post does not even show up under the main “categories” page or in the top level page if the user does not have access to it.

If you want to make some sections of your content, this plugins make it as easy as possible.
Just create the shortcode, with the conditions as role, logged in / out… and every content between the shorcodes will follow the logic for showing or hidding.
It works even inside another shortags like accordion etc.
You can even make logic for showing alternative content in case the logic is hidding, for instance:
[eyesonly logged=”out”]Default message content is private[/eyesonly]
[eyesonly logged=”in”]Show the content[/eyesonly]

It is the second plugin I use from thomstark and each time it is a nice surprise. His plugins work in a very intuitive (that I at least understand) and clever way. Bravo and thank you.

This plugin works perfectly, and has enabled us to easily hide and show content based on different user roles.
An added bonus, Thom (the plugin author) is incredibly responsive and has very graciously assisted with an issue we encountered— even though the issue was a very basic code error on our part.

The perfectly simple elegant solution.
For an HOA site, homeowners can read the meeting minutes if they log into the site. Yet, all public data stays public.
(I think this might even drive up our number user accounts. They all want to know what they missed at the Annual Meeting!)
Thanks bunches!

Thanks for this plug-in. I was looking for such an option, so I can develope sides and hide certain parts of pages and posts until I want to show it to the rest of the world.
Works even with other shortcodes in between the Eyesonly shortcode.
I’ve tried others and they couldn’t do that. Great Job !

This works like a charm for me, has a nice UI, and now even works on BBPress/BPress.
It allows granular access control on your content portions, and does so in a clear way.
On top of that, the developer proved to react promptly to feature requests, which can never hurt. ??
Suggested for those who need to set portions of their content as private, or targeted.
Still playing with it, but I couldn’t find any bug up to now.
Also, note that I use quite a LOT of plugins and custom code, and have encountered no compatibility issues, up to now at least.
5 Stars!
