After having entered the APP ID and the Secret key, I got the following message:

First of all, thanks for this amazing plugin ??

My problem is: after I publish my post from the WordPress, the post is not seen on my page in the Facebook by the fans. I am (the admin of the page) the only one can see it !! (the posts i publish in my page are seen for the fans).

Post Author and Categories displayed even when unchecked

The results I’m getting with the plugin are a bit hit and miss and I don’t want to publish posts to FB if I can’t confidently control the presentation of the content.
At the moment, I’m getting my author name and also the post categories although in the settings page of the FBPP2 widget, I’ve unchecked both of these.
I can’t really show you in a link as it’s the FB piece that is not working. Any suggestions on how I can fix this, or perhaps how I can test it without it going live? Thanks.

Fail to publish custom post type

Hi there!

I first posted this issue on the facebook-page-publish site (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/fail-to-publish-custom-post-type?replies=1), since this is the support url provided in the readme file, but I’m unsure about if that was a good idea. Please forget me for double posting. Here’s the post:

First of all, congratulations on your great plugin! It just does what I needed in a very neat and clean manner, as opposite to most of the Facebook plugins I’ve tried out.

My problem is that I have most of my content defined using a custom post type called “portfolio items” which came along with the wordpress theme I’m using. While I have no problems to publish regular posts and pages on facebook, when I try to do the same with a portfolio item nothing happens. The user interface looks the same, in the sense that I can perfectly see the “Publish to facebook” checkbox nearby the Publish/Update button, but when I click it nothing happens (I’ve noticed for regular posts and pages the checkbox turns to “Publish again in facebook”) and the content does not reach facebook.

Hope you can help me debug this issue, I’ve seen your code and it’s clean so it should be easy to fix the problem if you give some advice.

Perhaps you can help. I love this plugin. IT is the best for my needs, but it has a conflict with the Events Calendar Community Events.

I have used Facebook Page Publish in the past without incident but found that it was interfering with another plugin. So I thought I would try Facebook Page Publish2 since it looks like this one is the one that is actively supported. It is no longer posting my thumbnails or posts the wrong one. Any clues? Tried Everything to get rid of Error Message in WP Set Up

I have had this error message when I tried to set this up on a site I had a few months ago and could not get round it, tried reinstalling everything, re-entering the app id, secret, page id etc. and also the FB settings for the app.

Tried again today…..Even though in WP it says click grant access and authorise the plugin to post to your page, it doesn’t say this when I click grant access, it says

My App would like to access your public profile, friend list and groups.

If I click cancel OR ok it goes to a page in FB and says:

You are using Facebook as My-Page-Name
To access this page, you’ll need to switch from using Facebook as your page to using Facebook as yourself.

If I click to use FB as my own name – which is my main account it just goes the My-Page-Name FB site and that’s it, no notification of what I need to do next if anything. So I go back to my WP site and go round the loop again, same thing. This is error message in WP that remains no matter what I do:

Some or all access permissions are missing. Please click the button Grant access rights! and authorize the plugin to post to your Facebook profile or page.

So any ideas what to do?

Using this plugin to automatically post vehicle listings

I’m using a theme with my wordpress site. It is for an RV dealership and it allows me to add an inventory of RVs onto their site. I want every listing made to be automatically published to their Facebook page, but this plugin doesn’t allow these listings to be added.

Post to Page instead of personal Wall

How do I post to a page rather than my personal wall. It asks me to log in and authenticate but there is no option as to where I want to post. As far as I’m aware I log in with my personal profile to access my FB page and don’t have a separate login.

Has anyone had any experiences with this plugin going rogue?

We had the most crazy thing happen today! All of a sudden all of the post from our website magically pushed to facebook, even though they were super old, previously published posts.

We had just activated the plugin only 10 minutes prior.

Super weird! Just reaching out for any thoughts or theories on this.

Does anyone know how to modify the inside link when posting to Facebook?

I modified the plugin’s og:url to post to a custom field when I post. The custom field points to an external URL. When I publish to Facebook, I would like the display link title to link to the article instead of my blog. When using the debugger, it looks like it is set up to use the og of the article I linked to, but it still links to my blog.

Doesn't accept my "App Secret" id

Hi, after I set all the settings in Facebook Page publish and save, the App secret ID remains red. And in WordPress post editing, the Facebook pabe publish sidebar still says “Facebook Page Publish is not set up.
Please check your plugin settings” (probably because of this) and its publish with facebook button is grayed out. I tried resetting the Facebook app secret ID on the app dashboard but it wouldn’t take the new one either.

Any solutions?
