Hi, I’d like to use the shortcode in the description area of my custom taxonomy archives, but it doesn’t seem to be working there. The shortcode works everywhere else on my site, including on default tag and default category archives.
To demonstrate, I have created a basic shortcode [featured_image_pro id=’1′] to show a grid of custom taxonomy posts, and placed it in two locations, one in the description section of a default taxonomy (tag) archive (https://dinotoyblog.com/tag/cooperoceras/), and one in the description section of a custom taxonomy archive (https://dinotoyblog.com/classification/ammonite/). But it only works in the default taxonomy archive, nothing appears in the custom taxonomy archive. This seems specific to this plugin since shortcodes for other plugins do work in my custom taxonomy archives.
Is there a possible explanation and fix for this? Thanks!

]]>Hi
I am using the Featured Image Pro shortcode to create a page that shows a featured image and excerpt for each post in the category. The excerpt will always be short enough to fit into the excerpt height I have set, so I would like to remove the “Read more >>” link underneath. Is this possible please?
I have posted screenshots of the issue.
]]>Hi
I have this plugin working effectively on two websites (an issue raised 3 months ago on one of them was resolved!). I have just installed it on a 3rd website to use as a grid on an archive page that I have created for the blog category with the post title, featured image and excerpt. However, when I go to the shortcode generator, select all the options and click on Generate Shortcode, it doesn’t generate a code, it doesn’t save and it reverts to the main plugin screen. I have tried adding the default shortcode [featured_image_pro ] to the page and it is showing the featured images of all the posts that have featured images.
I have tried putting the website in a staging environment, deactivating all plugins apart from Featured Image Pro Grid and Classic Editor, and changing the theme to Twenty Twenty, but that hasn’t made any difference.
I am using WP 5.7 and Featured Image Pro Grid 5.10. I am not getting the JSON issue previously reported.
You may get an error with the block editor. Make sure that you are using a shortcode block.
Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.
In most cases, your post or page will be updated anyway.
If not, download the Classic editor plugin. Enable it, make your update and then disable it.
You can also try the tips in this post:
We are working on a block for the block editor.
The widget may not display properly in the customizer. I was not able to duplicate or debug this because the issue magically went away after I created a page with a shortcode in it.
]]>Hi
I was checking this website this morning and found that the shortcode I had used for Featured Image Pro Post Grid was not working and there was a blank space after the introduction paragraph. When I tried to edit the page and save it I got a message:
Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.
On investigation I established that this is an issue with WordPress 5.6 and on reverting to a backup just before this update was applied it worked again.
Please can you advise if an update to the plugin is required. As the page concerned is particularly important, I will leave this website on WordPress 5.5.3 until I can get this resolved.
Thank you.
Hi guys, is there a way to trigger the resize event manually? I’ve tried triggering the window resize event but it doesn’t seem to effect the masonry grid. I want to do some custom filtering, where I put the filtered content on display: none manually. It doesn’t rearrange the items until I manually resize the window, I would like to achieve that trough javascript.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Cheers
]]>Hi.
I am developing a website for a parish council and am planning to use the Featured Image Pro plugin to list the Councillors (whose details are included in individual posts with the category Councillor). I want to show images in the excerpt, to show which committees the Councillors sit on and have added an excerpt accordingly to the post, however html used to display images is stripped out. I have added the Advanced Excerpt plugin to try to stop this, but there must be something in the Featured Image Pro plugin that is stopping this working, as it is working with the Genesis Featured Widget Amplified plugin (see sidebar on linked page).
Is there any way of fixing this please?
Many thanks.
How can I configure this:
– to disable masonry?
– to display 8 posts in 2 rows and 4 columns?
– I’m using this in a post page, so how can I hide the post that I’m viewing from showing in the grid?
You will get a quicker response if you email us. We do not always get notifications when a support request is posted.

]]>Hi Guys,

]]>Hi, Concept of the plugin seems great for what I want, but I have an issue in that the output displayed on my page does not show the permalinks, but the original varioable post/ids. When I try to access the settings panel I get an error message also.
Warning: include_once(options.html): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/REMOVED/public_html/wp-content/plugins/featured-image-pro/featured-image-pro.php on line 64
Warning: include_once(): Failed opening ‘options.html’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/REMOVED/public_html/wp-content/plugins/featured-image-pro/featured-image-pro.php on line 64
Any ideas. I’m using 4.7.3 wp and 2.02 of the free version.
Thanks
Mike
