I can write for NewsBreak. There is a field on NewsBreak to accept MRSS feeds. I don’t know how to do this, but I asked ChatGPT and it said to use this plugin. My question is, is ChatGPT right? Can I use this plugin to create an MRSS feed that I can provide NewsBreak so I do not need to copy and paste articles I want to syndicate there?

This is the error message:

If I disable the Featured Images plugin in RSS for Mailchimp & More the problem goes away. It has always worked well, so what does it depend on? The same problem is also present on another site where your plugin is installed.
WordPress: 6.5.2
Featured Images plugin in RSS for Mailchimp & More: 1.6.2
Thanks for your help,

Hello, I run a plugin performance test with https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/code-profiler/ (and also old https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/p3-profiler/ )
In both cases your plugin Featured Images in RSS for Mailchimp & More consumed 3 – 5 % of time of page request. There are plugins that consume 10 -20x less time/resources.
Is it possible, that you could optimize the code to be executed only in case when it is really used? In our case we use your code to link posts from one website to another one. This is run only on 1 page and the results should be cached for several hours… So I would appreciate some optimization that this code would not run on source server on every URL request, but only on */feed/ requests…
Could you please optimize your plugin to improve a little response time of the server?

]]>Is this plugin compatible with wordpress multi-site?
]]>Hello, https://sf-validator.smartnews.com/ flags a warning: item.media:thumbnail
Any idea on how to solve this?
Here’s a fun one, I don’t know how to solve.
We have recently installed the “Performance Lab” plugin to turn blog post images into the WebP image format. Nice, that greatly reduced file size thus increasing page speed by a bunch.
However.
We use this plugin to generate a feed, plug it into Mailchimp, and auto generate newsletters whenever we post something. The “hero image” of the post is of course included in the RSS feed as a WebP image.
And MS Outlook (amongst others) doesn’t support WebP.
Any ideas on how to solve this?
Though the market share of Outlook is fairly low, around 4%, the marketshare-amongst-bosses is close to 100% ??
]]>Your plugin adds a custom alert in the WordPress Admin area, with content Hey! How do you like Featured Images in RSS for Mailchimp & More so far? Test all our awesome premium features with a 14-day free trial. No credit card required!
It has an x
to dismiss, which dismisses the alert, but as soon you reload the page, the alert is back.
This is annoying, against best (and mandated by WP plugin development) practices.
Please make it so that the alert, once dismissed, stays dismissed.
I am reaching out here prior to a heads up to the plugin reviews team as I am sure it is an oversight.
Thank you!
]]>I’m using MailChimp to create a Campaign that will email subscribers when I create a new blog post. I installed the Featured Images Plugin, and the featured image is displayed in the emails. ]]>On our website we daily post articles. We want to create a weekly newsletter out of our RSS feed with mailchimp, that shows the titles of the released articles listed among each other and the featured images (!) on the left next to the title.
We were able to set up a newsletter that shows all the titles, but not the images next to it. We know that the techical delivery of the images is possible, because the pictures get displayed when we use the CONTENT merge tag. But we just want images and titles.
Please help us with your excperience.

]]>I’ve been using mailchimp and this additional app for mailchimp for a while. It was working for a long time. I found out that mailchimp wasn’t sending out the emails. Come to find out this app was causing the disruption.
This is the error:

I installed and activated the plugin and immediately got a Critical Error. The info I have (certain things redacted with ***s for privacy) says:
An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 643 of the file /nas/content/live/********/wp-content/plugins/featured-images-for-rss-feeds/featured_images_in_rss.php. I am wondering if maybe there’s a typo where it says firss, should that perhaps be first?

When looking at that feedburner RSS there is no featured image and that is what led me to find your plugin.
I enabled your plugin and then configured it but I still am not seeing the featured image in the feedburner RSS.
Does this plugin also add the featured image in a feedburner feed or no?
]]>Hi there!
I’m currently using the plugin with the size 218px x 150px for the featured image.
However, in the feed url, it seems to add CSS to make it 50% of that –
style=”float: left; padding-right: 10px; padding-top: 7px; padding-bottom: 5px; width: 109px; height: 75px;”
Any idea how this can be remedied?
Thank you!

Hi there,
I have a similar issue like some persons here in the forum. Unfortunately I do not understand the solution…
I wanted to have my RSS feed with post images. So I found this plugin an installed it. After that every post has now a featured image (additionally to the same body image), shows two times the same image and also every single RSS feed item has two imgages: One in a bad resolution, one in a good one.
I did not find any way to prevent my posts from showing two images. Neither deleting the body image nor the featured image gave the expected behavior. What do I do wrong?
Best regards,
Robert
Hello,
I have clients that would like to update to WordPress 6.0.1 but this plugin is one of the ones they use that has not been tested/updated to support 6.0.
Is there a timeline to complete this?
Thanks for the great plugin!
