Very useful plugin and with some additional styling did what I needed. Default with my theme showed a singe column of images (150×150). Easily tweaked css to show a grid of 6 (each 50×50) (2rowsx3cols) which would have been a nice default setup.

The plugin does what it says in a no fuss, simple way.

If, however, a few tweaks were made I think it could be much more useful:

• Option to select multiple categories
• Option to resize thumbnails
• If you have more featured images than the amount displayed, provide animated / slideshow transitions effects so all the images get displayed
