what would i have to change in the plugin in to include the feed-delay functionality for specific category feeds only?

Feed-Delay is a very nice plugin. Unfortunately with this plugin installed, the excerpt for feed won’t work anymore. No the whole article is shown in the feed and my carefully written text for the excerpt stays un untouched.
Does anyone has an idea how to fix this little problem?
