This plugin stopped Feedwordpress from creating posts from feeds from Instagram – I am guessing because the item-> description for these feeds is just an image URL.

Rather than making a hash of the description, what if you did a hash of the link? guid? That has to be unique. Just guessing.

Actually, it would be better if Radgeek just fixed FWP to not duplicate posts. Just dreaming.
