Thanks for the helpful plugin. I imported a Joomla 3.9.8 website today and all posts created with the classic editor were imported correctly. However, the majority of the posts were created using the SP Page Builder and these posts only contain the text nodes and no HTML formatting. So no images either.
Hi I am having trouble with importing my content from Joomla on a different server. The error log is showing a different IP address than the one I have entered in the settings field – it is missing a digit from the middle of the IP address. I’m not sure why this is happening. When I inspect the value of the input field in the browser it looks correct and I have saved the settings and reloaded the page. Any ideas?

]]>Hi,
I have some problems importing fra Joomla to WP. I have exported the Joomla, and installed in on the same database with phpMyAdmin but I still can’t get the import to work as I get this error;
[ERROR] Error:SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1104 The SELECT would examine more than MAX_JOIN_SIZE rows; check your WHERE and use SET SQL_BIG_SELECTS=1 or SET MAX_JOIN_SIZE=# if the SELECT is okay
I’ve chatted with my hosting and got this reply:
?
The error is related to a SELECT query with a large number of rows, causing the SQL query to fail. This issue is associated with the plugin you use to import the database, which requires adjusting the configuration settings or script. Unfortunately, we are unable to assist further, as the database structure in Joomla is not precisely the same as in WordPress, even though both platforms use MySQL.?
Can you help me?
Greetings! I’m moving the site – everything is ok, but a lot of pictures are not transferred. I want to try to do it via FTP, but I don’t understand which FTP Base directory to specify.
P.S. WP site is hosted on local server (laragon) on my computer.
P.S.S. When I log in via FTP, the folder structure is like this (the folder with the site is indicated by an arrow). Thank you!
Is migration from Kunena 5.x to BBPress also supported?

There has been a critical error on this website.
For the WordPress site I use PHP 8.2. For the Joomla site I use PHP 7.3, it breaks in newer versions. I’m using cPanel.
]]>Hi,
all seems to be correct, trying to import articles of a Joomla installation (latest version) to a new WordPress Installation in a subfolder.
But the plugin creates only the subfolders in the WordPress media folder, e.g. “/newWPinstance/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/”. But it copies not the files and therefore does not create the different file sizes of an image.
Log entry for one image:
[ERROR] Can’t copy https://my-homepage.de/joomla-images/image.jpg to /www/htdocs/abc/my-homepage/newWPinstance/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/image.jpg: file_get_contents(./joomla-images/image.jpg): Failed to open stream: No such file or directory
But the paths are correct. Do the media folders of the Joomla instance and/or the WordPress instance need specific permissions to execute “file_get_contents()”?
Thanks a lot!

]]>Hello, we are looking to purchase the premium version of this plugin. I am currently looking to help someone migrate their current Joomla Site over to a WordPress site using the Divi Theme. I have access to the backend log in for the current Joomla site however no access to the hosting / domain. We are wanting to try and migrate the Joomla site over to a separate domain for now and build out + redesign on that domain before migrating it back to the main domain later on once the design is approved. Is it possible to use this plugin in this way where the wordpress installation is on a completely separate domain/hosting server. Our main concern is the current site has great SEO and SERP rankings so we want to ensure these remain unaffected by the migration. Thanks in advance!
