Hallo!

Hi.
I installed your plugin here: https://effivet-project.eu/#documents
If i not logged i cant download. Any help?
Hello.
First of all, great little thing….exactly what i searched for.
I tried to change the color of the download-button by adding style=”background:#00FF00″ in the clause and it works so far, but i still have a red line at the bottom the button and can’t find it in the code.
How can i fix this?
Thanks
Cheers
Hi there,
I changed my domain and website to a new provider and now I get an unwanted string “<!– ignored –>” as a first string in my .gpx file when I download it through the plugin filedownload (not logged-in). I don’t get this unwanted string when I download the same .gpx file when I’m logged-in my wordpress website!?? Does anybody have an idea how to fix?
Thanks in advance!
I never faced any problems with this plugin. But then… surprisingly all my websites with FD plugin activated ended up with an internal server error on Front End. Now I do not use this plugin anymore.
I spoke too soon. It worked fine on my PC/localhost WordPress installation.
On my Hostmonster WordPress, I get this error:
Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource could not be found on this server. This error was generated by Mod_Security.
I tried adding this to my .htaccess file in wp-admin:
<IfModule mod_security.c>
SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off
</IfModule>
It didn’t help.
Any assistance would be appreciated!
Hi,
I have the same problem that people have in the other topics, the shortcode does not work because it can’t find the file even if the path is right. Could you please explain how to deal with the php changes that we need to do to make the shortcode works?
Thank you for you help!
Since one week i see strange links to spam sites inside the file overview.
I searched through the sql database and they are nowhere else.
Where do they come from? I have the fear that there is a security issue.
Hi! Great plugin!
I don’t know if you take requests, but it would be great if there was a box with the counters on the dashboard, so you can see at a glance the stats of your downloads and, for example, the stats provided by jetpack

Hi
This plugin works perfectly for the way I create my posts. It would be a lot more helpful though, if I could sort by the downloads so that I could easily see which files have the most downloads. I have hundreds of files and its very hard to scroll down the list to see which files are being downloaded most.
I’ve searched for other plugins and I can’t find any that works with my posting system and is sortable by download, so I thought I’d suggest this, in case you would be able to add this feature in your next update. Thanks!

I’m using plugin version 1.1, which worked fine since December. Here’s syntax my former developer created (which was verified by Hostgator’s support staff and by me):
[filedownload file=”https://www.punditmaximus.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/punditmaximus.pdf”%5D
[/filedownload]
[filedownload file=”https://www.punditmaximus.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Neubauer_On_NJ_Master_Plan.pdf”%5D [/filedownload]
To help with troubleshooting, Hostgator’s staff checked everything they could think of (links, files are in correct locations, he could initiate downloads without plugin, there were no changes in web hosting service since December,…), but he was unfamiliar with WordPress plugins. He was skeptical that Apache server would cause any problem because they have always used Apache, and the plugin worked fine previously. Hostgator ran out of ideas, but he couldn’t read the plugin’s code.
The various plugins I use on the website are all the same ones and same versions I used since December, when they worked fine. I would be glad to give more specifics if that will help isolate the cause.

Just received an error that file does not exist.
File existed – path was correct – yet file could not be found.
We finally installed another plugin which works like charm.
You don’t have permission to access /wp-content/plugins/filedownload/download.php/ on this server.
Any ideas?
