Hi Team,
I am getting the following net::ERR_ABORTED 403 (Forbidden) error on the plugin in admin for:
https://website.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/filester/includes/File_manager/lib/js/i18n/elfinder..js
This is only triggered when I enter the File Manager itself in the admin. Its not present else where, both front or back.
Looking at the file that is showing as 403, it doesn’t seem to exist when looking at the folder structure for the plugin. Why is this and how do I resolve this? I understand that 403 usually means file permissions but elfinder..js doesn’t exists. So how can I change the file permissions for this effected file. Also others inside this folder are working fine with no file permission errors.
Also is it possible to update the WP Repository for the plugin. Its saying “It’s not been tested with latest version of WP” when checking.
Thanks

]]>Moin,
I freshly installed Filester and tried to configure it for the site users (role: editor in this case).
With my editor-test-user I can’t upload ods or odt files (didn’t try doc). Pdf, jpg is working. Logged in as admin I can upload everything.
For the role “editor” I chose these file types to be allowed for upload: .pdf,.doc,.docx,.ppt,.pptx,.pps,.ppsx,.odt,.xls,.xlsx,.PSD,.XML,.jpg,.jpeg,.png,.gif,.ico,.webp
If I remove these, Filester works as expected: No uploads possible. With these: pdf, jpeg are uploaded, ods and odt produce a “Dateiart (mime) nicht zul?ssig” error (File type not allowed).
Did I miss something? Or is this an error?
Thanks for your great work!
Greeting from Bremen/Germany

Getting a 404 error
wp-content/plugins/filester/includes/File_manager/lib/themes/Default/img/arrows-active.png
I did notice that this theme is missing an “img/image” folder altogether. Can you investigate please.
I have placed a dummy arrows-active.png image in here for now to remove this 404 error seen in my log.

Darren

]]>Hi there, in the User Role restrictions Tab, there is an option “Enter file extensions which user can be Uploaded”
Technically, I need the user to upload any possible filetype, I can make a comma separated list, quite long, but is there a way to shortcut it, like .* (this one doesn’t work of course)
When uploading SVGs with Filester, it seems that the first line of the SVG file must be left blank or have <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
otherwise, the upload fails. Is there a way to prevent this failure?
For reference, I’ve confirmed that the regular WordPress media upload works even if the first line isn’t blank.
Additionally, I’ve tried the following:
Hi Team,
Great little plugin and helps when you need instant access to a sites backend. The only issue I have with this is how are you seeing the root directory without any form of FTP or Password? Surely the server wouldn’t allow this unless you had some kind of SSH access.
Due to this concern is their any plans to add a password feature on the “file manager” folder link? This would add additional security if anyone decided to log into the site, or if it was hacked in any way.
Also when you delete the plugin do you leave any trace behind on the database and if you do can you tell me what these folders are so that I can delete them manually to help protect the site after use.
If you can add a password feature or some sort of security measure in place then I am happy to leave this plugin installed on the site.
Thanks.

Good morning. I have files that have names written in cylinders and when downloading the entire folder I get an error (title). Is there an option to correct this?

Any suggestions as to how this folder might be recovered, or–failing recovery–re-created? I tried disabling, then reenabling, the Enable Trash? setting. That didn’t help.

Sitehealth reports that my website size is over 100 gig so I installed FileManager Pro to inspect it. It gives a total size of only 3.19 MB? Shouldn’t those two numbers be equal or fairly close? In addition, I downloaded the entire site and looked at it with TreeSize and it shows another size. I’m confused. Can anyone help?

]]>Hello,
Here is our purpose:
We have a sitemap or product feed file with XML format, and those files are generated by other plugins and are publicly accessible in the directory of wp-content/UPLOAD, is there any way to limit or restrict the relative directory only accessible to a specific user? if yes, how to achieve it? do I have to set the permission of the directory? it would be great if there is a tutorial.
By the way, is the plugin compatible with Multisite, please?
Thanks, and have a great day.
