After entering my API, secret key, and username, this plugin never fetches my NSID. Has this been tested with WP 4.x?

Hi!
I use Flickr API e.g. with: [flickrapi user=”kambor-wiesenberg” get=”photoset” id=”72157639059918783″ size=”s” count=”50″] but the pictures are all in a vertical line not a grid/mosaic/tiles. (see: https://www.kambor-wiesenberg.de/objekte-installation/nur-zu-ihrer-sicherheit/ ). What’s wrong?
Thanks for your help

Hi there,
I am using the Flickr API Plugin on my wordpress site with joy to make simple API calls. Now Flickr informed all API users they have to switch to https, as http requests won’t be supported any longer.
Does the plugin already use https-calls or do you plan to implement it before the plugin stops working at the end of June?
Many thanks
Markus
Frontend error:
Trying to get property of non-object in /domain/path/wp-content/plugins/flickr-api/flickr.php on line 618
And nothing shows (obviously)
Backend error:
Strict Standards: Non-static method Flickr_API_Plugin::flickr_get_dropdown() should not be called statically, assuming $this from incompatible context in /domain/path/wp-content/plugins/flickr-api/flickr.php on line 1176
What is the shortcode?? I’ve looked everywhere.
Also what the heck does this mean: Use the following machine tag in flickr to attach images to this post. Then it shows sample like this:
website.com:p=1234
First of all I don’t know how or where to use the machine tag in flickr. Give some step by step instructions please. I’m trying to add this to a page, not in the side bar widget but on the main section of the page.
]]>This looks like a really promising tool! Very excited to use it more.
One thing I noticed: on line 698 where you drop in the URL for the link, I added a check for a flickr link so that site links open in a new window.
if ( ! empty( $url ) && $link == 'flickr' ) {
echo '<a href="'. $url .'" target="_blank">';
} elseif ( ! empty( $url ) ) {
echo '<a href="'. $url .'" >';
}
Seems like a better user experience on the front end.
]]>This is looking to be the solution to my problem, however there are several issues Im getting when trying to display my photo sets. The first is when I select galleria theme (Classic) in the settings section.
When my photos load, I receive this error:
“Could not extract height/width from image (image location here). Traced measures width: 0px, height: 0px.”
If I edit the settings and set it to “Simple Slideshow” it works…but if there are any vertical taken photos, the previous and next buttons are off the screen on the horizontal photos…
Im new to website creation, but am a very fast learner.
My goal is to have my sets viewable from a mobile device (iPad, iPhone, Android) running Safari and Chrome respectively, and be scalable to the screen size (responsive).
Thoughts and comemnts are most welcome.
]]>I have installed the latest version of the API (0.1.7)
I have filled in all the settings correctly and can happily see photos using the widget.
However
I am attempting to use the widget to display a photoset and then link to flickr.
When I do that the flicker link is forming incorrectly like so
https://www.flickr.com/photos//9778517161
I am presuming that there should be something like the NSID between the double / after photos?
Cheers.
]]>When I select collection from the insert window, none of my collections are in the pull down menu nor do they show up when I search for the names. Everything else works. What am I doing wrong?
]]>Having configured the plugin, if i navigate to a post screen, and look for photosets from the user “idontactuallyexistheresalongstringofnumbers49384289347283947”, there’s no indication as to wether this is correct or incorrect.
It then tries to look for photosets etc, and says none can be found. It’s not clear if this is because that user has no photosets, or if it’s because I mashed the keyboard to insert gibberish in the username box
]]>I generated one Flickr API plugin short code by using this Flickr API plugin short code generator that is located next to the Add Media button on every WordPress edit page. BTW: this is a nice touch.
When I view the page, I see the Prev and Next buttons, the photo thumbnails appear for 1 sec and they are all lined up in a single column, then they are gone, all that is left are the Prev and Next buttons. If I view the source of that page all the thumbnails are there, so it must be a CSS issue is what I’m thinking?
I tried another WordPress photo gallery plugin, Awesome Flickr Gallery, and I get a similar symptom, all the photos are lined up in a single column. Wondering if it is my Theme? Anyone else have this issue?
I am using the CLEAN HOME version 1.2.1 WordPress theme which I like a lot because Clean Home is a free small very fast WordPress theme. Authored by this company and looks like this: https://midmodesign.com/ but it appears that Clean Home theme doesn’t work with this Flickr API plugin nor the Awesome Flickr Gallery WordPress Plugin
How do you tell if a theme follows WordPress standards before you start using it?
Any other ideas to get this working?
]]>Installed and now setting up Flickr API version 0.1.7
I typed in my Flickr API Key (it is a long string of numbers and letters)
Secret – I left it blank
Flickr username: Not sure exactly what it is. It can be either the username I login with to Flickr, or the funny user ID that has numbers then @ in it. Or my Flickr screen name?
what ever it is I don’t think I am getting it right because when I go to edit the page and click on the Flickr icon near the Add Media button I only get errors when I click on Collection or Tags.
Any suggestions?
]]>Hello. I would like to have my flickr images show up in a widget, but can only get them to show in a gallery one at a time or in a vertical row. Any way to get them to show up 9 or 12 in a grid fashion like this: https://www.sven.sk/home

]]>Hi,
Currently the default medium size is 640px wide, and I’m trying to change it to ‘600px’ wide but I can not figure it out where I can do.
And how it make each photo (in plain html mode setting) popup with lightbox(or pretty photo, colorbox..anything)?
Please advice me.
Thanks and regards.
Vic
This plugin looks good, but when I set it up the NSID is blank and the shortcode doesn’t retrieve any photos. The photos are at https://secure.flickr.com/photos/templeohavshalom
Thanks in advance for any help.
]]>I think I have everything setup, i.e. my NSID shows up, clicking insert flickr gallery works and it’s able to pull actual tags. But when I click insert shortcode I get nothing.
No shortcode is inserted. No errors on the backend that I can tell so maybe something in the javascript?
]]>Thank you for the great plugin! so easy to use, and functional.
I am having trouble adding a different theme to the plugin. I guess I don’t know where to change the code for the theme away or where to ad the code? do I need to edit the plugin php?
not a developer. just learning.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again
Hi your plugin promises to be a great solution for me, but i have two little issues with it…
1) In my theme the “simple slideshow” doesn’t display properly.
Here it is on this page of my site…
https://www.haroldstreet.org.uk/other/?page_id=2435
and here is the shortcode i used…
[flickrapi user="Phil + Heather" get="photoset" id="72157630530439626" size="z" count="5"]
I can force it to display properly by hacking at the CSS – so it works fine if i remove the position: absolute;
from just the first photo’s div element – like this…
<div class="figure" style="opacity: 0; top: 0px; left: 0px; z-index: 5;">
(or less well if i remove the position: relative;
from its parent div – like this <div class="cycle-wrap" style="overflow: hidden;">
)
Can you suggest a better fix for this?
2) i’ve had real issues working out the syntax of the short code!
Can you tell me the short code for displaying photos with a specific tag in flickr?
Hello, I got 2 questions:
1. my images are displayed under each other. I like to have them showed in a table (like 9 x 9).
2. Is it possible to make a hyperlink from all photo’s to 1 URL (my photopage)?
Thanx in advance.
Simon
]]>Hi,
When I specify the link to the image, it seems to doesn’t work.
link=”b” for example.
I only have the gallery displayed. No active link.
Also how do I display the gallery correctly (one image per line, not really nice in PLAIN HTML mode) ? Do I need to create class of CSS specified in the output code?
]]>If you would add this, then I would be a really happy camper (or how they are called). ??
]]>Your plugin looks very promising, but can you tell me how to add support for the “new” size called “Large Square” (150×150 px) or can you add this size?
Thanks a ton,
Manuel
only one Flickr Api works on a single page – any chance of changing this please? ta+
