Hi, How can I help get the http to https upgrade started on this plugin? Have code working on my WordPress site, done by manually editing the Flickr Gallery code on your site.
As suggested elsewhere change in phpFlickr.php:
// OLD – changed 3/16/2015 – see https://www.zx81.org.uk/blog/double-trouble.html
// var $rest_endpoint = ‘https://api.flickr.com/services/rest/’;
// var $upload_endpoint = ‘https://api.flickr.com/services/upload/’;
// var $replace_endpoint = ‘https://api.flickr.com/services/replace/’;
// New:
var $rest_endpoint = ‘https://api.flickr.com/services/rest/’;
var $upload_endpoint = ‘https://api.flickr.com/services/upload/’;
var $replace_endpoint = ‘https://api.flickr.com/services/replace/’;
AND added this 1 line in flickr-gallery.php:
if (shortcode_exists(‘flickr’)) remove_shortcode(‘flickr’); // added 3/15/2015 hwj
// before this line:
add_shortcode(‘flickr-gallery’, array(‘DC_FlickrGallery’, ‘gallery’));
add_shortcode(‘flickr’, array(‘DC_FlickrGallery’, ‘image’));
Hi
I receive this message in my page and the photos are not displayed
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/gugliagu/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/flickr-gallery/flickr-gallery.php on line 333
I’m trying to display all Photosets
any suggestion?
Thanks in advance
Milvus
I have Flickr Gallery v. 1.5.2 installed and has been working well for a couple of years. For the last week or so, the images have stopped showing. I have found various threads from others on this issue and some have stated that by changing the instances of http to https in phpFlickr.php file, this has fixed the issue.
However, I have done this and the images still do not show.
Could someone point me in the right direction on a fix for this before I give up and use a different plugin.
Manye the images not showing, go to https://www.kevinbuttersart.co.uk/site/index.php/cityscape-buildings/
All the links with categories should be showing images and have been until about a week ago.
Many thanks in advance.

Hello,
Been using the Flickr Gallery plugin for a couple of years now and I’m happy with it, however I haven’t found a way of making a gallery based on archive date, i.e.
when the URL has this ‘archives/date-taken/2010/02/20’ – i.e. no tags.
I tried with photoset mode set to tags but it doesn’t work. Is there a way to make it work?
For example, this didn’t work, because date is not a tag, so I guess it would need to be a specific mode as the search criteria would be different?
[flickr-gallery mode=”tag” tags=”archives/date-taken/2010/02/20″ tag_mode=”all”]
Hi there,
Just wanted to share the CSS I used to responsivize this plugin. It’s been tested in Chrome, iPad, iPhone, Kindle Fire, and HTC EVO. Enjoy!
#flightbox, #flightbox * {
-webkit-box-sizing: border-box;
-moz-box-sizing: border-box;
box-sizing: border-box;
}
#flightbox {
max-width: 95%;
width: 95%;
height: auto !important;
margin-left: 15px !important;
}
#flightbox img, #flightbox-meta {
max-width: 100%;
}
#flightbox-meta { /* Make sure this is above the next/prev links */
position: relative;
z-index: 20001;
padding: 5px 0 !important;

Recently I started getting the following error message on my website:
“Unable to start another process
Maximum number of processes reached, refreshing in 10 seconds.”
My ISP reports that it is caused by Flickr requests timing out. Is anybody else having this problem, and if so, is it a problem with the Flickr Gallery plugin, or with Flickr itself?
I’d like to use a bigger thumbnail, I know flickr has one that’s 150×150 square. Can this be set using the shortcode or do I have to play with the plugin files?
Second little question, I have the latest post of the blog included on the homepage, outside of the wordpress install. Is there a simple way to get the built in lightbox to work here too? Right now when the thumbnail image is clicked the flickr page loads up.
Thanks for the help.
Hi
I noticed on my gallery that the border around the thumbnail images in the gallery are out of alignment. I have noticed this on other sites also, just wondering is there a fix? https://moyneathleticclub.com/gallery/

G’day, tried this plugin but discovered that it is using deprecated function calls — session_register()

I am getting this error in the wp_debug log and cannot seem to address it. Can anyone offer some advice?

I am moving all my images up to flickr and have 2 pages one for public photo’s, the other personal ones which are behind a simple wordpress login and works perfect. The only problem is I’m not sure how-to say on the public, show the public albumn’s, on the private, show where permissions are family only. Currently both pages have the same basic tag; [flickr-gallery] and I see 4 album’s.
The odd thing is the settings page I have the userID, photosets checked, and the API-secret filled in (which states If you want the plugin to include private photos or photos in private groups) but the authenication token is blank.
Now on flickr /auth I only have the 1 key, it’s set as web application and the callback is the correct URL.
So;
1. should the token be blank? If I click generate, it takes me to a blank screen (there is a ?frob= then a bunch of numbers in the URL, but not sure on that.
2. will I be able to with the tag on one page show public photo’s, on the private, all pictures?
Thanks to all read/replies.
Hello,
I’m having a problem with this great plugin, and I’m reaching to the community for help.
I’m using the Flickr Gallery plugin on this page: https://correresmidestino.com/snapshots/. Unfortunately, when I click on a picture, only a tiny thumbnail opens in the lightbox.
I enabled the following in the plugin setting page:
Use a lightbox to display your photos: YES
Display the largest photo that will fit in the user’s window in the lightbox (slows it down slightly): YES
Display the photo’s description in the lightbox: YES
Any clue what could cause the problem?
Thank you!
I installed both the flickr and lightbox plugin and I was able to get my flickr photoset to appear. But when you click on a photo it takes you directly to flickr rather then just come up though lightbox. Is there a piece of code that I am missing? Thanks.

Hi their,
great plugin, took me so long to find something like this, works real great!
Just 1 small problem would be grateful for your help, once I activate the plugin my side bar tabs kinda mess up, as if the plugin for some reason does is doing something with the background behind the scenes…
any help would be great,
thanks!!

Is there away to remove the link to view the photo on Flicrk?
When I first installed this plugin it worked perfectly. I was able to use the following shortcode
[flickr-gallery mode="photoset" photoset="72157605870230826"]
to insert specific photosets into my posts.
I haven’t done anything on my site for ages apart from update plugins when updates have become available. So even though I initially started off with version 1.2.6, I’m now running the latest version and when I try and insert a photoset I get a 404 error page if I save as draft, try and publish the post and try and preview it.
My posts require the
tag to be inserted, but I’ve done numerous tests and found that if I write a post without the
tag, the plugin works as it should. As soon as the
tag is inserted I get a 404 error on trying to save, publish or preview.
I’ve disabled my other plugin to see if there is a conflict, but I get the same results everytime.
Does anyone know how I can fix this – or does anyone have a download link for an earlier version so that I can backdate to a version that worked with my site?
Thanks

Uncaught TypeError: Object # has no method ‘flightbox’
Hello Friends,
I want pagination in Photosets tab that display all the sets of Flickr user, but i want to limit no of sets on page…means i want pagination in that….can any one help?
thanks in advance.
I would like to change the shape of the post so that maybe there is a single stream of maybe 10 images that are fairly large. possible? how?
Single images do not display in posts, whether using the full Flickr URL or the ID (as per “usage” on the plugin’s www.ads-software.com page).
[flickr]https://www.flickr.com/photos/dancoulter/2619594365/[/flickr]
– Inserts the given image. You can also just put the photo ID in there (the numeric string at the end of the link).
Even trying the example above doesn’t work. There are a couple posts from the same person 9 months ago but it doesn’t say how or if they resolved it.
I am posting this to help other people in the future, as I just spent ages trying to work it out.
If you want to have multiple instances of this plugin with different quantities of images – eg. A big gallery page with 100 photos, plus smaller galleries of only 10 images – then use the shortcode “per_page”
I struggled with this because I put 100 in the “Number of photos to display” box and then couldn’t get it to show less elsewhere.
eg:
[flickr-gallery mode="photoset" photoset="72157628722788633" items="11" per_page="10"]
10 = it will only show 10 images
Hope this helps somebody. ??
Just a heads up for anyone using this plugin. It throws a lot of notice and deprecated errors when used in debug mode. This and the fact that the plugin has not been updated since 2010 is a concern.
I recently began to see this error at the bottom of my login, dashboard, and posts:
Warning: Unknown: open(/var/chroot/home/content/84/3654684/tmp/sess_a9rmjn2ad9fttjasv36vecl4g4, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in Unknown on line 0
Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct () in Unknown on line 0
If I deactivate the Flickr Gallery plugin, it goes away and is normal. This error also prevents me from uploading pictures. Any ideas?
Using the plugin and it works great in pages and posts ??
I’m putting together a few post templates and am having a few issues passing variables to the plugin. I want to pass a a list of tags to it, but can’t seem to work out how to do it.
Can I reference the plugin using a php function (i can’t find anything) or is it just the shortcode available?
This is what I’m currently trying to do – if anyone has better suggestions I’m open to them…..
This works:
<?php
echo do_shortcode('[flickr-gallery mode=tag tags=MYTAGS tag_mode=all]');
?>
Taking this a step further I want to pass a list of tags to the shortcode, but it doesn’t work:
<?php
$myTags="MYTAGS";
echo do_shortcode('[flickr-gallery mode=tag tags=$myTags tag_mode=all]');
?>
All help and suggestions appreciated ??
thanks
