I installed another Flickr app to make sure the API was working… first gallery on this page… all OK.

But all the rest have vanished, and it’s the same across my site.

Invested a lot of time in all those shortcodes… and now it seems I may have to replace them all ??

Have loved this plug-in for a long time, it’s light, simple and works amazing well – even better than any plug-in I’ve tried today to replace it when I saw the last update was 4 years ago = (

So, here’s a last ditch attempt at help, I always update my plugins (try to keep them to a minimum) and wordpress and somewhere along the line, the pagination has stopped working.

The plugin still downloads and displays the first page of results exactly as instructed, but clicking any other page number (or changing it to next/previous buttons) just reloads that first page – not sure if Flickr have changed their API access process or an update to wordpress is causing it but hoping someone here knows a fix as I love this plugin and it makes my photography blog super simple to maintain with low bandwidth by passing all the images off to Flickr.

has this plugin been abandoned? I am getting errors in my website:

The shortcode results in “Flickr API error: Invalid API Key (Key has invalid format)”. This is because of missing ‘secret’ key from both settings page and the way a new object of phpFlickr class is instantiated.

To fix this, a new field on the settings page is required for ‘secret’ as well that being used in instantiation of phpFlickr class.

I’ve just been testing a few Flickr plugins and, despite this one not having been updated for a long time, it works and looks brilliantly and is the best one I could find! I hope it is still maintained!

Anyway, when using pagination a URL parameter of page is used. However this is the same that WordPress uses by default if you use Page Break Blocks. Hence the Flickr Justified Gallery pagination does not work: it instead loads the appropriate WordPress post page. A different parameter would make more sense, e.g. flickr_page.

I have the problem that some pictures from the Flickr album are shown rotated (upside down) with flickr_set, although the preview looks correct and the photo is displayed correctly in the Flickr account.What could be the reason for this and how can I fix it? Thanks!

I just ran a PHP 7 compatibility test using PHP Compatibility Tester and received the following warnings:

61 | WARNING | Use of deprecated PHP4 style class constructor is not supported since PHP 7.
1710 | WARNING | Use of deprecated PHP4 style class constructor is not supported since PHP 7.

Is this truly a problem for upgrading to PHP 7 and if so, do you have plans to update the plugin?

First of all, wonderful plugin! I was wondering if there are short term plans to support loading different image sizes. Now the plug-in loads ‘large’ images by default (large, 1024 on longest side*).

In the Flickr documentation I see there is also options _h and _k, besides the _b that is used now (https://www.flickr.com/services/api/misc.urls.html). Loading the original image is not always a good idea, as my albums sometimes have pictures that are 6000px wide and sometimes they are 1500px. Loading the _b is just a bit small on larger monitors.

I tried changing the source code of the plug-in, but did not manage to succesfully change it yet. Therefore, I was wondering if you are planning to incorporate the _h and _k option.

Secondly, have you considered putting this plugin on GitHub so that the whole of the community can help maintain and improve it even more?

For example, I think there might be an issue with using SSL encryption and this plugin together (as mentioned in this thread) and perhaps by having the plugin on GitHub a solution could quickly be found.

I have a group pool that I have embedded in a page, but how do I only show the photos added by one specific user to that pool?

Greetings – First, I’m a big fan of this plugin.

Showing “captions” of my photos works just fine, but when I have the “Show description” option enabled, and/or have the ‘show_description’ field set, the descriptions do not show.

Looking around at the code, around line 334 of flickr-justified-gallery.php, I see you are loading the description from $photo['description']['_content'], and I see that the description content is not in a _content element. It’s just $photo['description']. When I change that block to this all is well.

I have been using this plugin for a year, recently yesterday every post with this plugin does not load and showing this error “500 Internal Server Error Request Timeout”.

The error also appears if I try to make a change to the plugin from my dashboard.

I’m thinking about a compatibility error with wordpress or my theme, someone else has this problem???

As know, wordpress galleries are not good for photo gallery. Flickr is good gallery, and I think make similar to homepage. Justified gallery is easy to make even WordPress gallery (need much work), but what is good in Flickr: “All album”-view, complete text per photo, share/download-link etc etc. This all I try embed to my site.

I installed the new plugin ‘Flickr Justified Gallery’ and havent changed any setting and I have deactivated the old plugin ‘Flickr Photostream’
to be honest I did this a couple of years ago too but the new plugin doesnt display properly so I had to revert to the old plugin but I am keen to use the new one?

I love your plugin, but I haven’t found a way to sort the photos as I want when I do a tag search (I use tag to make mini-albums of my trips), so I edit your code this way :

My portfolio website relies on the [flickr_set id=””] functionality of the Flickr Justified Gallery plugin. Somehow this function doesn’t work anymore.

The output of i.e.

is just empty.

The plugin hasn’t changed. It is because I updated to Workpress 4.9?

Does anyone else experience the same problem?

Which plugin might be a good alternative?

When I click on my set, I can only view in lightbox the currently shown images, and not keep scrolling through the remaining in the set. Personally, this would be a huge improvement in usability.

Any ideas?

Any ideas on how to fix this? I’m not sure how recent an issues this is for us…

my photoset galery stopped after the first or second row, with the 3 dot animation.
If I choose a picture the lightbox plugin (Simple Lightbox) works fine, and I can see all pictures of the photoset.

Flickr Justified Gallery will use the images from Flickr without the need to have the images uploaded to WP Media Gallery?

I am trying to find some Image Gallery solution that uses minimal storage on my WP hosting.

How does Flickr Justified Gallery handles the images in terms of storing them on WP Media Library?
