I love FluentAuth for its simplicity. The folks at Fluent have done a great job. It’s a plugin in it’s early days and has plenty of room to grow. But the Fluents are working on it and are super responsive and helpful on support tickets (like always).

The FluentAuth plugin, despite its potential, unfortunately, falls short of expectations. The lack of UI customisations is an immediate drawback. The inability to make simple CSS changes diminishes the user experience, reducing its usability across different platforms.
Also, there seems to be compatibility issues with other plugins; many of its functions do not operate as expected when used in conjunction with other plugins. This restricts the freedom to use FluentAuth in diverse settings.
The MagicLink login option is another major concern. Consistently unresolved and often resulting in a JavaScript error, it’s not just a technical issue, but also indicative of a lack of support from the team. Despite multiple reports, the problem remains unaddressed.
fls_login.js:1 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'value')
at HTMLButtonElement.<anonymous> (fls_login.js:1:6844)
Moreover, it’s disappointing to see that translations using the Loco plugin don’t work unless they’re in the Author or System locations. The risk of them being overwritten during an update adds another layer of inconvenience.
Albeit reluctantly, I have given FluentAuth two stars, one more than it arguably deserves, in the hope that this feedback will prompt some much-needed improvements. The current state of the plugin certainly doesn’t reflect well on an otherwise competent team. It’s a missed opportunity for positive exposure and has made me hesitant about investing in any of their other offerings.
In conclusion, my faith in the team and desire to use FluentAuth are what’s salvaging this review from a one-star rating. I hope that they take this critique into consideration and rectify these issues promptly.

Hello,
I have installed and activated the plugin and now I unfortunately I cannot access anymore to my site.
I receive the mail straightaway with the code but when I type it, I get the message
” Your provided code or url is not valid“.
I repeated the process 3 times and still got the same message. I am sure I entered the correct code.
Have you faced a similar situation? How to solve it?
Thanks for your reply

I was really looking forward to rolling this out to all of my clients, but it needs a little work before it’s ready for prime time. My biggest concern is the lack of support for time-based passcodes (TOTP). I’m not a fan of using email as a form of two-factor authentication.
I love the UI and think WPManageNinja did a great job with the initial release. I think if TOTP support was added, the plugin would be able to compete with some of the most popular 2FA plugins on the market. I’ll keep an eye out for future updates and will update this review accordingly!

So, the plugins from these guys are good.. but this one need just a little more love to be that too.
I was really looking forward to the magic link / login functionality. But this seems to be not working as flawless as I expected.
When activated it causes a couple of js errors, such as “Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading ‘appendChild’)” and no login link is sent.
There is no real support – or at least I didn′t find a way to reach out for this plugin.
Hope it will get some more love, cause it′s nearly there!

I think the plugin in itself overall seems great. The lack of support in the forums certainly brings to question if the plugin is going to be maintained in the future. Overall many month old questions and simple string translations (so we could translate the plugin in other languages completely) are left unanswered which certainly brings some uncertainty about the future.

I’ve tested many “Limit login plugins” and i think this is the simpler and better of all the others.
The email sending process works great.
Works fine with FluentSMTP
Does not slow the WordPress installation.

“The Ultimate Authorization & Security Plugin for WordPress”
HOW!?
Does this plugin provide real-time protection against malware, spam, and other online threats?
Firewall?
Can it force login from only social media account, Google.. FB?

Such an amazing plugin already. You guys really do amazing work.
Would love to see the addition of:
? Ability to use an authenticator app that generates the 6 digit codes (eg. Authy, BitWarden etc).
? Ability to block specific email addresses and/or email domains from registering (eg. [email protected]
or *@domain.com)
Other than that, love how simple and lightweight it is. Hopefully it remains true to this and doesn’t get too bloated.

Still a 5 star plugin, however, for a site with clients that only need a login auth flow, there is no built in way to logout. Haha I hope the logout flow is added instead of just, “You are already logged in, Go to Home Page”.

You guys obviously know what you’re doing. This plugin is just great, and I highly recommend it for everyone.
To me, the only quick win that could make it even better is to have the option to change the URL of the login page (like WPS Hide Login). Please consider doing it.
That being said, I can’t give you less than 5 stars, even without this functionality.
Thank you for all your great work. You are a real gem to the community.

I appreciate WPManageNinja. I use Fluent forms, Ninja Tables and Fluent Support. Without these, my business would be much harder to do.
FluentAuth is a good idea, however, there needs to be some more work done. I installed the plugin on two websites; one with fluentsmtp and one without. I then enabled the 2FA option for both sites and logged myself out.
I tried logging in again. The website with fluentsmtp sent me the 2FA message, I copied the code and logged in. I never received the 2FA code on the site without FluentSMTP. I was locked out of my website.
I began to panic briefly. I had to go to my host and restore one of my backups from yesterday. So, if I had been entering data all day, it means I would have lost a lot of data.
For the website with FluentSMTP, I logged out and tried to login again. The 2FA message came like 10 minutes later or so. So, that too was a concern.
Sorry about this review but it is the truth and if i am going to be depending on this for the security of my site, it should work flawlessly. I am asking Shahjahan and team to please work on the email side of things for notifications and to provide users with more information on what exactly to do to get 2FA notifications flawlessly.
Once these issues have been addressed, I will change my rating to 5 stars and if possible, update this review.

Nice plugin and works very smooth. Only thing i am wondering is when using the 2FA via email. If for some reason the email doesn’t arrive, shouldn’t there be a optional second fallback option to scan a QR code manually to use in your QR app? Or did i miss a step.
Also adding the skip 30 day 2FA option like Wordfence has, would also be a plus!

Can’t believe this.
I was looking for a good two-factor authentication that has a great team behind and it’s lightweight, no need to look further.
Very happy.

I finally got a light and effective security tool for my WordPress without nags about upgrading to a higher version etc.
In addition, it is a product from the WPManageNinja team, so I install it without any doubts about the quality of the plugin because I use all their products and have never been disappointed – always high quality code, fast and safe.
Thank you guys!

Tested this plugin out and woow, this is a neat and very light plugin, this is what I am using from now on instead of the others I′ve used over the years.
Thanks for building this, was really looking for a better solution then Loginizer and Limit Logins plugin. Well done.
