These ugly errors are appearing at the top of every page of all of our sites and my host has informed me that it is due to the Foogallery plugin. What happened and how to fix it? I also am not able to do many tasks in our WordPress dashboard because of it.
I have a Shop Manager user. I need him to manage the galleries. If i set “Editor” (is this applicable?) or even “Shop Manager” in the settings as Gallery creator role (i have “inherit” option set in Album creator), that user still does not see anything (even no item in the menu)..
Also at this point even the Administrator user does not see the galleries, only settings..
Adding more info:
if I put “Shop manager” to settings – the Shop Manager does not see anything, the Administrator can see the options, but not the galleries.
If i put “Editor” to settings – the Shop Manager still does not see anything, the Administrator can see everything, including galleries.
We have been using FooGallery (Carousel) for slide shows on our website for about a year. Just recently, the thumbnail images in the slideshow are displaying full size, instead of the 400 x 400 dimensions we have set for the gallery. This is happening to every gallery on our site. Issue just started a couple of days ago. Trying to find a way to get the galleries to display properly.

Foogallery tries to load images from an invalid cache URL.

While some galleries in the post work, some images are grayed. The URL in the href is correct, but the URL data-src-fg is incorrect (https://www.gezender.com/wp-content/uploads/cache/2016/09/IMG_2828/2471591470.jpeg). Because it contains ‘cache’ directory in the URL. I don’t know where FG got that URL. I purged the HTML cache in FG, all cache in Cloudflare, and disabled Autoptimizer completely, but the issue persists.
Could you help me with this? At least, If I can find out where this URL is loaded, maybe I can fix from there.

I noticed that many other plugins have the same problem. For me the notifications crashing the structure of the page. With many follow-up issues.
My workaround was to fix this like that:

}If you scroll down and look at BeccaG lightbox, on the desktop browser the caption is visible. However, when I use a mobile device the caption does not automatically appear even when I have the settings set to show in the lightbox caption settings.
I also found the { “lightbox”: { “infoAutoHide”:false } } from another post that Elvis detailed on its use. I placed it in the Advanced – Custom Settings and saved everything. But it does not seem to be working, as all the mobile devices are still not showing the caption by default.
I am sure I am missing something; can anyone please advise?

I have the setting correct here as you can see, but when I click on one of the icons from the actual page (gobbleupnorthwest.com/portland), this is what happens instead of being taken to the custom URL.

]]>Although I see you fixed a ResizeObserver loop problem previously (v 1.9.25 Date Updated : 2020-06-04) it doesn’t seem to work for us. The errors log shows an error anytime anyone visits a page or post with a foogallery in it. There are a LOT of errors.

I just started using this plugin, everytime I setup or update the gallery and save, the first time I load the page everything is normal, however after I refresh the page, the gallery is not showing properly, the image is showing just grey color.
]]>I am using a Foogallery on the page gobbleupnorthwest.com/portland. When I enable this one specific gallery (see screenshot with shortcode), the entire page breaks so that it displays like this (instead of what you see when you currently visit the page, as I have removed this gallery shortcode for now).
Here is the troubleshooting I’ve tried:
- Confirmed that when the gallery is removed, the page loads fine.
- Deleted the Foogallery and re-created a new one from scratch, mirroring all the same settings as the one that successfully displays on the Seattle page (but when I place this on the /portland page, the same broken-page problem happens)
- Oddly, there is another Foogallery on this same /portland page that works just fine (the sponsor gallery at the very bottom of the page
My web host has confirmed that there is an “issue with the coding” that is causing this, though they can’t give me any more information than that.

Basically we need a brief description on each image and would like that Description displayed on Mouse Over/Hover if possible ? Hopefully it has this feature, and IF SO, HOW do I achieve this?
Also will it work somehow on mobile to view the TEXT also then?

When trying to “Refresh Galleries” to see a new gallery I would like to migrate, I get this error message:
“Something went wrong with the migration and the page will now reload. Once it has reloaded, click “Resume Migration” to continue with the migration.”
I have been migrating NextGen galleries without any problems for the past 2 months (1 new gallery per week) and today it doesn’t work.

]]>Sorry my website is marginal, ha… but I would like to be able to zoom in on gallery pictures for mobile users. I would also like to not have all the pictures displayed on the home page.
I would like the gallery to be displayed with a single picture on the home page. The user would click on the image to open the gallery in another tab and be able to zoom in for better viewing.
I would be glad to subscribe to whatever I need to make this happen, I just can figure out exactly what I need. Thanks for any input.
Update: I have purchased and installed the Pro Starter version, but I don’t really see any difference from the free version.
]]>The ADA compliance checkers flag our Foo galleries has having errors because there is no link text on the links to see the full size images. Is there a setting somewhere that will add link text? The images do already have alt text and captions. Help appreciated!

He is saying that some of the images on his phone/ipad change from Portrait to Landscape when you click on the to make the image bigger. I have managed to do the same on my phone but not my ipad as i think the screen is bigger than his.

Currently, everything is sorted by folder using the Filebird plug-in.
But when I try to upload from the gallery, only the full picture comes out.
Is there any way I can sort it by folder and upload it? Or do you have any other linked plug-ins?
I’m using a media category, and it’s so inconvenient to work on each one.
]]>After upgrading to the latest version 2.4.22 of Foogallery i now have 2 plugins in my plugins overview page. (Previously I only had the premium one installed)
I normally use the premium version, which is why I removed the regular plugin version after the upgrade happened. After doing so, my galleries on my website seem to break (The viewer seems to be glitching out when accessing an image inside a gallery). When installing the standard version again, it seems to fix itself.
Is the standard version now required to be installed to work with the premium one or did something else go wrong?

I am using foogallery 2.4.22. A new problem occured: the WP “Editor” role is not able to edit/create foogalleries any more (4 weeks ago, this was definitely still working). The existing galleries can be seen, but not edited. (I additionally used the “Members” plugin to grant the foogallery rights for the WP Editor role: all items are ticked).

]]>when a Firefox or a Chrome user selects one of the hyperlinked tiles and then selects the browser back button to return to this page. This problem was confirmed by a help desk person a few weeks ago. You will note on the attached screen shot, that on the Edit Gallery page, it shows the “File URL” link at the top of the panel, and the “Link URL” at the bottom. When the user selects the tile it works as expected and the target (which is normally a post, not a page on my website) is displayed. (Well, not quite as expected as the image is usually flashed across the page first.) When the user selects the browser back button, WordPress displayes the image instead of redisplaying this page. If the user closes the image using the X in the top right corner, then this page does display as expected. I believe you will find that the intervening URL is the “File URL”.

This didn’t happen before and does not happen when putting a Foo Gallery in a plain Text block. I assume there is a conflict between the modal and a Foo Gallery.
