How can the footer credit of Neve theme be removed with your plugin?

Wordfence is now reporting

The Plugin “Footer Credits” appears to be abandoned (updated 30th March 2021, tested to WP 5.7.9).

and the WordPress repository https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/footer-credits/ is also reporting

This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.

Even if there is nothing to be done with the code, can the plugin please be tested with the latest version of WordPress and “updated” in the WordPress repository so that it shows correctly maintained, supported on the current version and not abandoned.

Good Day,

I have WordPress 4… latest
PHP 7 – latest
Wordpress theme – 2016
I installed your Footer Credit 1.1

Problem:
Once I installed and activated the plugin and add some text in the following location
Appearance>Credit>
Text that I added is not being display on my web page.

Any suggest?
