How do I unpublish categories that do not have published products from being visible on the front-end?
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hey I love the default add new product page, BUT i am having to load the same image many times, because the “product images” drag and drop box does not seem to have a way to connect to the Word Press Media Library.
I am sure I am missing something, and will be grateful for a point in the right direction.

Hello,

Please can you tell me what was the issue.

We rolled the site back to a previous backup and that has resolved the problem. We will hold off upgrading to the 4.7.2 version in favor of the next which (hopefully) has this problem resolved.

Good day,
I needed to add a Custom Auto email functionality on Subscription datafeed like if Subscription has ended, CC is about to expire and 2 more with a custom message and I added it inside
} elseif (isset($_POST["FoxySubscriptionData"])) {
//some codes here
}
Im not sure how to test this, so I asked foxycart team if they have a way to test subscription datafeed like the Refeed Now link on their admin transaction page and they do have it under Advance Tab
https://screencast.com/t/raOeZ4Ei0
Problem is I always get this error
https://screencast.com/t/6B4qINyHvnj
So I tried to log something and added these lines of code
error_log('----------Start Datafeed--------');
error_log('----------'.print_r($_POST,1).'--------');
error_log('----------END Datafeed--------');
On the datafeed endpoint so I can see POST vars, I noticed that for Regular transaction (Testing it via Refeed Now link of fc admin), Im seeing the Foxydata post var which is working properly.
https://screencast.com/t/kmuqTxLBFk
But when I tried to Test Subscription datafeed via Advanced tab of FC, POST var is empty so it has no foxysubscriptiondata post var.
https://screencast.com/t/xYW5Pr0MH
I wonder how is this happening? Any response will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

So I noticed when implementing my store today that there seems to be a conflict in Foxyshop and Jetpack when using the Related Posts feature. If you have a product with a related product, Jetpack Related Posts will shove a “Related Posts” block underneath your product description, which looks odd indeed.
For now I’ve disabled related posts, but since my site has both content and a store it’s kind of useful to me, anyway just thought I’d let folks know.
Hi, I’m developing a store in test mode at the moment and noticed inventory control doesn’t seem to work. I added my datafeed URL as instructed but on the product page customers can add more to their cart than I have in stock and completing a checkout doesn’t seem to reduce the amount of product in stock either.
Is this just because everything is in test mode or am I doing something wrong?

Hi I have had a client request that I place content from a page that has been set up already. Some tabbed content is needed that will relate to all products.
I just had a look at loop and is it possible to reset loop and restart so that I may place my loop in between the two loops.
Here is a look at how the template looks. Link
Either that or relate as single post to all products. Advice appreciated.

Is there a way that a customer can enter a coupon code for discount at the checkout page?
I know you can apply a discount to a product, but I think it would be even more useful if you allowed certain coupons for a product and a box for the customer to enter that code in on checkout.
Thanks for the great product!

I would like to ask help, if foxycart with foxyshop can do selling of logos.
There is a structure I like, from 99designs.com on their shop page. First it will show you all the logos, when selected or click you will direct to a page to choose a license and enter info like company name and tagline. Then proceed to checkout page. So there will be no quantity, shipping and tax. I wonder if this would be possible using foxycart and foxyshop. Or is there any alternatives that you can suggest. Thank you.
Hello,
My client requested a bunch of changes be made to the products page, so instead of a grid view of all products, the page would be a step-by-step process guiding users to pick certain projects depending on selected form fields etc.
Rather than customize the foxyshop-all-products.php file, I created a new template called page-order.php and created the page as my client requested. I then checked the option ‘hide the product from list view’ on all products to essentially remove the functionality of the original products page.
The new template works and users can successfully purchase products through it. However, since I launched the new template my client has been getting datafeed email errors from Foxycart. This is an example of the error message “DataFeed Failed: (468494513) 2014-11-18 21:20:51 Datafeed Returned: foxy<!– html is corrupted –>”.
Is there a datafeed function or include that I should be placing in my new template file for the datafeed to work correctly?
Thanks!

Good Day, I have created a list in the mailchimp and follow the instructions given in here https://www.foxy-shop.com/2011/08/easy-mailchimp-integration/
I added the codes, api, list unique id, and uploaded the php file under my child theme directory. Then I added the code at the bottom of the checkout template ( I add in custom template) then I tried a test purchase with the Newsletter being checked on checkout( store currently on test mode)
Process has been successful but there is no new subscriber being added to my list. Here is what my checkout page look like

Is there something that I missed out in the process?
Hello, is there a way that I can disable the button proceed to checkout until users calculated tax? Since in default even if tax is not calculated users can proceed to checkout and pay for orders. So, I would like to charge them the tax before they can proceed to checkout. Or tax will be automatically calculated in checkout page when they enter their postal code and address.
Is there a way to come up with that using Foxyshop?
Thank You.
Hello,
I have a custom template that is pulling in product information. Depending on a few fields that a user selects (the product itself and whether or not it’s a variation), I want to create an add to cart button that is customized depending on the choices.
I’ve used the foxy cart docs to create a link like:
Add To Cart
However, FoxyShop adds a hash to all of the field values so the above does not correctly add the items to the cart. When you output a basic add to cart link with the foxyshop_product_link() function you can see the hashed values in the link it generates:
Add To Cart
I’ve tried adding a link with the shortcode;
<?php echo do_shortcode('[product name="extherminate-safe-heat-kit" variations="Extra=Cord"]Add To Cart[/product]'); ?>
However, the variation is created and added on the spot rather than accessing the pre-existing variation (with the same name and value) I made with the FoxyShop backend. Meaning that the price difference (p+50.00) doesn’t factor in.
Could someone please help me by letting my know either:
a) How to generate an add to cart button dynamically (including pulling in the proper hash values)
or
b) use the shortcode with a variation that I have previously created with the backend
Thanks,
V
I’m seeing a problem with dkeys in saved variations when using the modal product details code snippet. For an example, see any of the items on https://singermanpost.com/product-cat/dangle-earrings/page/4/
In each case, there’s a saved variation for “ear wires” that appears correctly if you strip the “modal=true” parameter from the URL. However, in the modal, it only appears if you change the first option from earrings to necklace and back to earrings.
At first glance it looks like the solution is too hook the onComplete
colorBox callback to something like this:
$("form.foxyshop_product").each(function() {
updateVariations($(this));
});
and I’ve tried to do that on the page linked above, but I’m not having any luck (I get updateVariations is not defined
errors in the console).
Any chance of a pointer in the right direction?
Hey all,
It appears that users can add more stock than is available, regardless of whether or not it shows the inventory availability warning. For instance, if I have 10 items in stock, the user can put 13 in the cart and check out. Ideas?
(check out https://supplyemporium.com/products/unfinished-wooden-cabin-cutouts/ to see what I mean. There’s only 10 in stock but you can add as many as you’d like)
Thanks!
Hey there,
I’m trying to get my google merchant feed up and running but I’m having issues with the GTIN. When there’s not GTIN provided (UPC, EAN, whatever) Foxyshop inserts the product code. We need the ability to pass the “identifier_exists = FALSE” property as that’s what you use when a unique identifier doesn’t exist (as is the case with the vast majority of my products).
According to Google, you need at least two of the three : Brand, MPN and GTIN. Brand’s not hard. GTIN and MPN don’t always exist and if they don’t you’re supposed to pass identifier_exists=FALSE if you cannot provide them. I think if anything, foxyshop should pass the identifier_exists=FALSE if the GTIN and MPN fields are blank. Currently, when Foxyshop passes the product code, Google sees it as an invalid GTIN and rejects the item. I have no idea how to get around this. Ideas?
Thanks!
First of all, let me just say this is an awesome plugin! I’m going to switch from WooCommerce because of how incredibly easy it is to add variations. I love it!
I am having one minor problem. I’m using WP 3.9.1 fresh install with the latest FoxyCart downloaded using the automatic installer.
There is no option to enable comments on product pages on my product editing pages. The option is there when I go to add a post or page, but not when I go to add a product. I did check the Screen Options at the top of the page and there is no Discussions check box like there is under posts and pages. Likewise, there are no comment fields on my product pages. I tried switching among the themes Twenty Twelve, Twenty Thirteen, and Twenty Fourteen but didn’t have any luck. I also tried to create a fresh product rather than editing existing ones and that didn’t help either. Finally, I made sure commenting was enabled in the settings and it was.
I am wondering if maybe this has something to do with a recent change in WordPress core.
Thanks for looking into it and for the awesome plugin!
Hi I have set up a variation for a product. Within the select menu of the variation there is a price that looks like this (-$415).

Hi,
I would like to get a subscription in my ecommerce website.
Is it possible with FoxyShop to do that ?
Because I installed FoxyShop and “Subscrition” do nont appear in my sidebar wordpress…
Let me know if it s possible.
Thank you so much.
Hi…I have an ecommerce site set up in Expression Engine which makes use of a Foxee module but they have discontinued development need to bring site across to WordPress with the use of your plugin which looks great.
I need a checkout workflow as described below:
I have a custom php page which user is redirected to after submitting data in Gravity Forms which is where I can set a session variable that can be passed onto the second Product Detail page but don’t know what kind of value I should be inserting in order to set the correct value for this variable $product = foxyshop_setup_product();
.
Here is how that template is looking:
<?php
session_start();
/* Template Name: Redirect */
$course = $_GET["course"];
$course = stripslashes($course);
switch ($course)
{
case "Diploma in Wedding and Event Planning":
$_SESSION['product'] = $course ;
header("Location: https://www.thosedigitalthoughts.com/aawep2014/checkout-step-2/");
break;
}
?>
Any advice on how this may be achieved would be appreciated.
Hi I am trying to set up a product with variable subscription end dates and different prices for each. All subscriptions will have the same frequency of one month.
Is there a way to set a different end date for each variation? I have noted that there is the fr:1m parameter for frequency but is there something as well for handling the end date?
My client offers an online course with options to pay in full or monthly installments of 2,4,6 and 10mths in some cases.
Advice appreciated
