Trying to updated my client’s site and he wants to use Freshchat, however as of this writing, it hasn’t been updated in a year and is untested with the last 3 major WP updates. Would the developer kindly respond if they have any plans on updating and testing this plugin with the current WP core, 5.7.1?
]]>Hi,
This looks outdated for a long time, is it compatible with WP 5.5?
Thanks
]]>I’m using your snippet code (and not the plugin). How do I make the chat box auto-open after X seconds? I saw a FAQ about this but it doesn’t make clear how you edit the existing code to do this. Also, how can you create a URL link so you can add “Chat with Me” to have a page and when the link is clicked the chat window expands? I found a FAQ about “button” text but it doesn’t make clear how to trigger these. Very fast page loads! Thank you.
]]>When I install the app and add the code, the chat is showing but when i type in a message it shows, it cannot connect. however, i do receive the message on my freshdesk backend and when I reply to a message and hit “refresh” in the website-chat it shows my reply but then again the error.
]]>Thanks for this plugin. I’m currently experiencing an error with the setting for logged in users. When this check box is unchecked (i.e. anyone visitor should see Freshchat), I’m receiving an undefined index error.
The setting is for
Enable chat only for logged in Users
[unchecked]
The resulting error is
Notice: Undefined index: loggedin_user in ../wp-content/plugins/freshchat/widget-settings/settings.php on line 18
I’m looking for a chat that integrates with wordpress. There are many that seem to do so, but they don’t actually integrate.
When a user is signed into wordpress, I’m wanting the chat to know that the user is logged in as [Wordpress Username] and for the history to be kept.
With my current chat, I have the issue of users being logged in, but pretending to be someone else simply by changing their name or IP when chatting.
If a chat platform is ‘integrated’ with WordPress, I would expect for it to know if a user is logged into WordPress and pass that information to the chat.
This helps because I can easily tell if that user has made an order (associated with their account) and prevents identity abuse.
Does this take care of that?
