It’s super easy to use, works well and does not come bloated with extra nonsense just does its job. I use it to override Learnpress login page. Thank you!

This Plugin has a lot of functions, even customizing password reset email, very nice !!!!

Thanks, this is one of the easy to install and use plugins I ever saw.
There is just one little tiny thing. The in the frontend used words:
– Email Address or Username
templates/lost_password_form.php:46
– New Password
templates/lost_password_reset_form.php:42
– Re-enter Password
templates/lost_password_reset_form.php:55
– Sorry, that key has expired. Please reset your password again.
includes/somfrp-functions.php:536
– Sorry, that key does not appear to be valid. Please reset your password again.
includes/somfrp-functions.php:540
Are not translateable in the plugin config form. You have to go into the code.
Anyway thanks a lot for the plugin!

I use elementor to help build out my registration/login flow, but creating a custom forgot password form without an elementor add-on or developer level knowledge is impossible (as far as I know)…. that is, until now.
Thanks to this plugin, I don’t have to purchase an extra plugin or hire a developer.
Before this plugin, I was considering using an elementor form + my CRM to handle passwords… but, I soon realized that was a bad idea…
After all, who wants passwords to User accounts chilling in plain text etc. etc.?
Not I.
Thanks guys.

It is easy to use and works perfect. I would like this plugin could have more customization… but I am very grateful it exist ??

Exactly what I needed, a no fuss front page reset password system that works.

Great idea for a plugin, but the reset password email is never sent, and when a user tries to enter their username or email to reset the password, it fails silently and redirects to the default WordPress login page, even when a custom login page is specified.

Help me to have the control under this email and translate it with GTranslate automatically with this line of code included in the email text :

This is pretty much the only plugin out there that provides a simple ‘reset password’ option, and it does it pretty well.
Rating: 1 star
doesn’t send emails or redirect properly.

Easy for users to reset password and it’s great that it has translation support.

Exactly what I need!
Just specify better how settings are ready fro an easy customization!

Great plugin. Does exactly where it has made for. Love it. Easily translate the plugin with Loco-translate!

Very helpful, it makes your life easier

No problem in english.
But almost nothing is “multilang friendly” for the user. Had to contact wplm support instead of this plugin support to have help for translating the plugin. And you know what? Translating just broke the plugin. Can’t recommend it for multilang website.

Really easy to use. Makes the Elementor Login Widget (forgot your password) work much better. Was able to customize the button in Elementor when using the Shortcode Widget-> Advanced -> CSS in Elementor.

It works fine. It’s possibile to modify text, redirect, mail messages.
In my personal experience the reset password form follows theme css. No css setting has been required. Simple to use.
Just a suggestion for author: please add one more feature: Email Title customizable text.

The plugin does more or less what it should.
BUT the code looks not very nice, a long mess, lot procedural.
Specially when dealing with login/password the code quality is superimportant because it’s security related.
Wanted to save some time first but developed it then by myself instead of using the plugin.

It simply does not work. Have attempted to use it on multiple wp sites. Documentation is inaccurate and incomplete, invalid password links sent.
Rating: 5 stars
I went through the pluggin and I used the support. Both work well, Thank you!

The simplicity of the plugin is fantastic. I love the “Support Guide” is only 3 steps…because that’s all that’s needed.
If it gets upgraded, may I make a suggestion / request?
Somehow put a function in the reset email for, “This link will expire in XX hrs.”
Would prevent bad actors from use the link in the future.
Thank you again.

Brilliant plugin with well thought out code. Just a shame that form templates cannot be overridden in theme or filtered. I wanted my form to only accept email login so had to hard code changes into template and that and my template backup folder was overwritten on next update! Might be a good feature going forward….:-)

This is a really great plugin that does exactly what is says. I am using it in place of the built in reset function that came with a membership plugin, which is not working correctly. I simply replaced their shortcode with this one, and it works great. My only complaint is that the reset emails do not allow html/rich text format, so there is no way to make the emails look a bit more professional. That would make this plugin really rock.

This is a very good tool if you don`t want to have the WordPress standard form for forgotten password / reset password. It works vers good!

Very useful with a customized login page

If you are just looking for simlple forget password plugin without other fancy code, this plugin is all you need. I created custom login and registration form for one website and was thinking to build custom forget password and came on this plugin. I just installed it, added shortcode on page and boom. Everything what i need is in there. Just for information, plugin setting page is inside plugin menu. you can also go to plugin list and click on setting link on plugin page.

This is the only plugin I’m aware of with this functionality, and it works well. My only (minor) issue is the settings page. It took me googling around, and I almost bailed on using the plugin altogether because I couldn’t find the settings page.
1. Please add where the settings page is actually located to the plugin instructions.
2. Move the settings page from Plugins > Frontend Password Reset to where it really belongs: Settings > Frontend Password Reset.
Thanks for building this!

Plugin works great! Really saved me some time. There are a good set of editable fields, including the email body copy. Perhaps in the future the author could add an email subject field to replace the default “Account Password Reset.” My application involves activating a member account, so changing the subject line would be helpful without editing core code.
Very easy way to take control of your password reset needs.
AFTER WP 5, some security changes occurred which caused this plugin’s “action” parameter to cause conflicts. The plugin author was quick to respond to support and provided updates… very impressive!
