I got this error when I want to activate the plugin on Wordpres 5.2 :

I have figured out a bug.
When I copy code from Firefox browser and paste it in any text editor (Notepad++ or atom), it creates empty lines after every code line.
Please provide solution to this.

For example, to get a backslash on its own, one needs to type \\ or else the single backslash will “disappear” (it will actually act as an escape on the following character).
Is this a bug or a feature?
My question is just that when copying & pasting some code one has to be careful right now and make sure that all backslashes are properly duplicated.

I’ve been using many other syntax highlighters, but on one site where I’m a guest writer, this is what’s installed, and I was a bit frustrated that it only supports five languages (CSS, HTML, Javascript, PHP, XML). Is there a way to add more, or are further languages being planned?
Will at least this plugin allow other plugins to extend it, adding more languages, like SyntaxHighligther Evolved does?

Highlighting problems with code (language=php):

Ends up in beeing highlightet as php-string, because the plugin can’t find the second ” and doesn’t highlight functions as php until there comes the second “.
