We all found out our hostings scammed us and all our data is gone and we there websites are gone.
So i had to get new hostings and started everything from scratch
When i set this up before it made the pages for /games/ and stuff
Its not done this on new hostings now

Do i have to make page and add a [Tag] on the page
Or is this something i missing?

I created 2 pages, one for games and one for platforms through the plugin and when i open them they show no content. I followed a post with a similar problem but still nothing shows, am i doing something wrong?

I have recently started a webpage with some friends and we are still experimenting a bit. I founf the Geek plugin and love the fact we can build a lot of information fast for what we need, but i would like to display the database items (games in this case) 1 by 1 in a side plugin something like a game of the day that will rotate through the db each day and tag the ones used not to repeat, is there any way to do this and someone can please point me in the right direction? i am completely new to WP.

Also, can i create a menu option that will lead to the games database people can browse? If not too much hassle just quickly point me on how to and i can navigate.

First of all, good job on the plugin, it looks great.

However, I do have some suggestions. I know you worked hard to get to this point, but the freemium aspect rubs me the wrong way. As of now, unless I’m missing something, there’s no way to test any of the APIs without investing in some tokens. I think you should include some so we get an idea of how Geek! fetches data. It’s also a better strategy if you want people to pay for this feature.

There are criticial issues when manually adding Games too (haven’t tried other post types yet):

If you enter only the Title, you get the following error (with bad localization): ‘You have to enter a making year for the game’. I assumed this meant a release date, so I went ahead and added one, to no avail. Because it was actually for the Year: field, which isn’t clear at all. Like, why do you have both a Release Date and Year? Then, you need to add a Cover, which is not always available with newly announced games.

When I completed the requirements, the save function bugged (infinite loading). Right now I’d say this feature is broken (edit: tried with Movies and it worked, so this might be limited to Games).

• You should mark required fields with an asterisk (*)

Something else I noticed: image uploads get weird syntax, e.g. geek-4e036af6-01c1-4de8-bd8a-c2d1bcf7198d. I’d rather see title-cover or something a bit more readable for search engines.

Hello, is possible to remove /movie/ or /tv/ from the URL?

I’m testing the plugin and have created several test games and test companies locally, but they are not showing in the pages that are created where the shortcodes are written.
Are the following shortcodes correct?

Now i found out recently that when I try to load game on page
It stuck on a spinning loading icon.
Tried it in different browsers and pc and phone
Do you know what this issue is?

Your plugin has been working great up to recently.
From Last night there was this weird error While adding or updating games.
While i started adding new games, It says Database issue.
Have you seen this one before?

I didn’t want to write immediately, so I gathered a list of various issues. It’s possible that some things are already fixed, but I’m putting the whole list here:

1. Comments are disabled (users should be able to comment games, movies etc good for SEO etc.).
2. In the search engine, inputs are not translated: “Select” and “Page.”
3. Games have an “IMDB” icon instead of IGDB.
4. If “CAST” is not provided, it should not be displayed or it should show “No information.”
5. When the movie release date is not provided, it shows “0000.00.00.” It should be “???” or invisible.
6. When we click on a poster, screenshot/photo, or video, there is no “RETURN” button.
7. When you add at least two links to “VIDEO,” the “VIDEO” section appears. A single video appears next to the poster – maybe add an additional option “Pin video to the top of the article.”
8. No comics? Can’t we create a comics database like movies, TV shows, games?
9. The editor is basic (Summary), it only has BOLD/ITALIC, numbering, quote. Maybe it’s possible to add an HTML code preview option?
10. The site has a link that is not translated, e.g., https://yourwebsite.com/game/fifa-2020 <– “game” in the URL is not translated.
11. Shortcode/widget: Recently added with only links, with images, date, etc., random games/movies/TV shows (widget) displayed as posters.
12. Number of views (statistics of individual pages).
13. When we fetch data from IGDB, e.g., Silent Hill F (IGDB ID: 222343), the data is incomplete, and on our blog, the page with Silent Hill does not display. We have to manually add some data in the admin panel (Geek) – single player, engine, perspective, platforms, publisher, and developer. Then everything is OK. It’s unclear why the post with the page does not display game data (images, video), only the title. It seems to interrupt the page display when some data is missing (single player, engine, perspective, platforms, publisher, and developer).
14. Some data, e.g., Resident Evil Village (2021 – IGDB 55163), does not fetch even though it gets credits. However, Resident Evil Village can be fetched from IMDB tt12497042. I don’t know why, even though it has 5 videos added, it only shows one video – you have to click on the link, e.g., “Video 5,” to see the 5 videos. But in other games, it shows the first two videos. Maybe it’s due to the fetched cast?
15. Thumbnails of movies, games, TV shows do not allow opening the page with the right mouse button.
16. In games (need to check for movies and TV shows?), you can add links, but only the publisher’s and developer’s websites are visible, no Steam, etc.
17. Other information in games, e.g., Budget, does not display.

The plugin hasn’t been updated for a month, but don’t worry, the reason there hasn’t been a new update is that I’m working on a very large update. The new update will address major deficiencies in the frontend, and the film, game, and TV sections are undergoing fundamental changes. The new update is expected to be released at the beginning of June.
I’m leaving some ss here.

Before anything! This looks lik a very promising plugin! I think this is what I’ve been looking for. With a tweak on the css this could bring many use cases and help a lot in many ways.

however [ redundant link removed ] seems to have problem with it… I tried several times to add a movie yet it kept loading, nothing has been added to the db so far, probably a db connection issue? It didn’t show any error msg tho.

After purchasing the tokens if I try to search for movies nothing comes up. Can you tell me why?
