I noticed that GB changes the font size and font face in the block editor after activating the plugin. How can I use GB and have the default font size / face in the editor?

I use the Advanced Custom Fields plugin (ACF) along with GeneratePress.

I have a Custom Field of the User type where I record the translator of a the post (I have a website in Portuguese) – how can I present a link to the translator User, perhaps using Dynamic Data, in the same way as there is for the Author?

Apologies if something similar to this has been asked before. I’m using an ACF Post Object field to associate multiple “artist” posts with an “event” post. I’d love to then be able to use a query loop inside the event post to loop through the artist posts and render some content with a template. Is this functionality achievable?

Hi, I am working with GenerateBlocks, GeneratePress Theme and GP-Premium. Currently I am renewing a website and have problems with the following PHP Warning:

Suddenly I get 512 Bad Gateway Errors because the Web Application Firewall of my provider is blocking me. I deleted the plugin and readded it but it doesn’t help. Can you have a look on this?

Dear support,
when using pagination on a Query Loop and changing the query by using “generateblocks_query_loop_args” the possible paginated pagenumbers do not update to the amount of search results. Since I would like to implement filters and have more result by default there would be empty pages at the end.

How could I change the Query that results in how many pages are necessary for pagination, or should it already change the amount of pages dynamically?

I’m new to wordpress and GB and trying to avoid php coding as possible.

I would like to design different templates/patterns/Elements (not sure what exactly should be the term here) to different post types. Post type is defined by taxonomy. I defined Taxonomy “Post-Type” with terms: “Deal”, “Bundle” .. and several more. For each term I defined different custom fields using ACF.

What I would like to do is to easily design the look of each Type. I would like to do it within WP.

Do I need to purchase GB Pro for this? Do I have to purchase GB Pro + GP Premium? and If the later does it mean that i’m “locked” and cannot switch themes later?

I used the Query Loop to build a simple related posts and I set Taxonomies = Categories and Select Terms = Current post terms .

If the post doesn’t have any related posts, then, the Query Loop block won’t show. Perfect.

But, I also have a Headline block that says “You may also be interested in:” like so:

The issue is that if the post doesn’t have any related posts, then, the Headline block still shows. Any suggestion that would not display it in this scenario?

I have changed the theme.json so that custom colors are only accessible to admins. Unfortunately, the GenerateBlocks blocks don’t seem to use the default WordPress color picker? It works for all other blocks. How can I limit the GenerateBlocks color picker too?

Hi,

I’m not sure if this is a weird font issue or not, but when creating just a standard button using the Generate Blocks button (not using the old “buttons>button”), the text isn’t sitting vertically centered. There’s about a 3-5px difference.

The padding is equal top and bottom, and no matter what I do with the line-height, the text still sits with the top aligned to the top padding rather than equally between top and bottom.

I’ve tweaked the CSS on the website to change the border/background etc, but I was seeing the exact same behaviour on the standard button as soon as I inserted it.

As this is currently a work in progress I’ll leave a standard button in for reference so you can see what I mean without my own styling.

I’ve been having some issues with the global styles editing area recently.

When I am editing a block, then I click the global style name, the sidebar just disappears. I can’t seem to access the area where I edit the global styles at all.

I’m trying to customize the results that Search & Filter Pro plugin throws me using the Block Element – Content Template, from ‘elements’.

I am currently using custom html for each block pattern, which is not good for my website, i.e. heavy loading.

So, I want to know if you can make such custom patterns, where I can easily add such blocks on the website using the pattern?

This is a really basic question….do I even want to use blocks on my website. Is there any resource that can explain that in very simple terms? Are blocks the way of the future in wp?

And, If I do use blocks, what happens to the pages I already have (about 900+). Do I need to re-design them?

I use twentytwentyfour with Generateblocks I have created a template part with GB containers. This template part is syncronized in all pages of the website. I changed the padding. Everything seems fine in the backend. However, I see this template part with the same container with different paddings on different pages in the frontend. The CSS is displayed inline. If I look at the inline stylesheet, it contains different rules depending on which page I am on. This is very strange. I can exclude caching by WP, browser or hosting.

Example:
Template-Part – Container Padding 1rem
Site A Container Padding 1rem
Site B container padding 5rem

I have also tried to save the CSS externally (GenerateBlocks Settings), but this resulted in one page still having inline CSS and one having an external stylesheet.

I’m using GP and GB for the first time for a highly customized site, versus using Elementor as I usually do (but don’t necessarily like doing, it is popular not for it’s Tom foolery by 3rd party devs, but for it’s depth of functional controls without having to code). I have some feedback to help.

1. Code editor > since you can only migrate code via copy/paste using code editor, it would be helpful to display row numbers in editor, it is timely to hunt through lines of code to capture the needed code to be migrated.
2. Blocks usage of hyperlinks is absolute path, this creates extra effort to update urls from subdomains of staging or dev sites to tld site. There should be a settings control to let developer/design to use absolute or relative paths, here is what i found from quick search on perplexity, I would recommend a simple implementation on/off of following filters:
   • Based on the search results provided, there doesn’t appear to be a specific setting in GeneratePress or GenerateBlocks to choose between absolute or relative links for hyperlinks. However, I can provide some general guidance on how you might approach this:
   • WordPress Core Functionality:
     Instead of relying on a theme-specific setting, you can use WordPress core functions to convert absolute URLs to relative ones. Add these filters to your theme’s functions.php file or a custom plugin:
   • add_filter(‘post_link’, ‘wp_make_link_relative’);
   • add_filter(‘page_link’, ‘wp_make_link_relative’);
   • add_filter(‘attachment_link’, ‘wp_make_link_relative’);
   • add_filter(‘post_type_link’, ‘wp_make_link_relative’);
3. extend existing block elements to better support full range of css attribution that is available in the standard; for example, link text only has 2 color controls, there is no attribution for visited or active. I find myself frequently doing having to use coding to get affect needed.

Generate Blocks Query loop pagination is not showing up on the site but exists in the editor.

since wordpress 6.6 update, when I click on table or mobile tab in block settings, the page content disappears. It works only for desktop.

Someone has this issue too ? I’m having this on several websites.

In wp-admin/widgets.php, the plugin generates the warning below:

The editor still works fine and the blocks are present, so it’s likely just a rogue call to that method.

Question: I’m trying to assign affiliate links dynamically to buttons.
I created an ACF “link” field and on each product in the backend, and inserted an affiliate link.

I’m trying to tell the button to dynamically link to each product’s unique affiliate link.

For the button, I enabled “Dynamic Data”, Data Source to “Current Post”, Link source to “Post Meta”, and Post Meta Field to the name of the ACF field I created.

Not working. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

When I customize a heading of the Query Loop block, the dynamic data filter in the WordPress core recognizes the Custom Post Type. I select the Post Meta option as the Content Source and in the Post Meta Field field I write the name of the custom field.

With custom fields of text type, the content of the field is displayed, but with relationship type fields, the content is not displayed. The problem is with the relationship custom fields. In this case, it is a relationship type field to select several values ??that come from the CPT that I related to that custom field.

Is there any recommendation to be able to display the content of custom relationship type fields?
