I have added this to a site I am working on but on both pages, the images are showing up very blurry.
]]>This is just to let you know that the problem I thought I had with Genesis 3.0 and 3.1, was actually a problem with Genesis Custom Headers.
I know this plugin is not updated anymore, though I’m still using it as I had no problem with it. This was true until… I updated the Genesis Framework.
And all the header images had disappeared. I first thought it was due to Genesis 3.0, as many people had had problems with images. But actually it is due to the fact that the plugin does not recognize this new version, so it is being deactivated. To solve the problem I commented out the lines of the function that checks the version… Of course, I will try to use Blox, the plugin that replaces Custom Headers.
WordPress 5.1.1 running Executive Pro theme. Using Genesis 2.9.1.
For some reason Genesis Custom Headers is not working only on my posts page as linked above. I have tried it on a new page and that works fine so something is blocking it on the posts page only.
]]>Hi there!
2 years ago, after receiving a report of a conflict between Jetpack and your plugin, I ran some tests and proposed a patch to solve that problem here:
https://github.com/ndiego/genesis-custom-headers/pull/1
I’m sorry I did not reach out here in the forums at the time; I figured GitHub was enough, but I realize now that maybe you did not receive a notification from GitHub about that PR?
I see that other people reported the issue in other threads, and I got another report today:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/fatal-error-genesis_get_options-its-jetpacks-fault/
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/fatal-error-on-mobile-view/
Do you think you could take a look at my patch and consider merging it?
Thanks!

When I am editing a post, the section to enable the custom post does not appear. I set the blog post header using a hookbox, but I’d like to use this plugin. It works fine for pages, just not posts.

]]>Fatal error: Call to undefined function genesis_get_option() in /xxxx/plugins/genesis-custom-headers/inc/gch-frontend-views.php on line 13
Wow, this caused me some headaches let me tell you! A client of mine at https://43folderstech.net kept getting this error, but ONLY when accessing their site from a mobile device. Not from desktop, regardless of browser.
Weird, huh?! I messed around for a while, even went in and hard coded an include to the genesis options.php file, but no dice. I kept thinking to myself “It’s as if GCH doesn’t recognize genesis as the active theme on mobile or something?”
Which of course is when it hit me – JetPack!! That’s right, my client went in and “fixed” things without telling me, activating jetpack’s ‘mobile theme’ option!!! Guess, what? That’s NOT a genesis theme no more, so GCH goes into fits on it.
Anyways, thought I’d share after figuring that out … LOVE your plugin, working up to throwing some of my own on the fire ((not worthy)). Hope this helps someone!

This is what we have right now – static header image:

This is as best I could do to get what I wanted:

]]>There are many that will find Genesis Custom Headers very useful. However, it can be fairly restrictive and we have had many requests for additional features. Due to the way the plugin was built, many of these great requests were not feasible, and therefore a brand new plugin was warranted.
If Genesis Custom Headers is not meeting your needs for a particular reason, take a look at Blox Lite: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/blox-lite/. This plugin no longer restricts you to just headers. You can add content anywhere there is a Genesis Hook. You can add content to virtually any page of your website, unlimited content “blocks” on each page, add a content block to multiple pages at once, and more. If Genesis Custom Headers isn’t doing it for you, give Blox Lite a try!

]]>Another question:
I use “Header Custom Content” to add a custom page title (in h1 and h2-style for subpages). I want the title to be horizontally centered at the bottom of the header image, overlapping a bit. But the problem is how I can make it always stay in the center when having a smaller screen size?
I used this css:
.gch-header-content-frontpage h1 {
text-align: center;
background: #83B941;
color: #fff;
width: 395px;
text-transform: uppercase;
line-height: 3.9;
margin: -134px 301px 42px 301px;
z-index: 100;
position: relative;
font-size: 18px;
font-size: 1.8rem;
font-family: 'Titillium Web', sans-serif;
}
But I think the (negative) margin-solution is not working. (I also want a background color so it looks like a box.)

]]>Hello,
I am using your great plugin together with the new Workstation Pro Theme.
I wanted to display individual header images for all four pages (a simple portfolio website) – in full width as the front page of the theme has. I don’t know how I can do that.
I checked “Check to disable wrap CSS selector from plugin output”, but I am not sure if this new theme works with “wrap”, it looks like it works with “site-inner”. (And I see no change.) Unfortunately the site is not live yet, so I can’t give you the link. Maybe you already have an idea how to show the header image in full width (as on front-page? There it’s displayed as background image, I think)
Thanks

Just to try and be clear, according to the vosual hook guide there seem to be about 10348586686 different content areas all with the word header in them so please excuse me if I am getting the terminology incorrect but the area i want changed I would personally calla header but i’m not sure if thats what your plugin does – does that make sense?
I’ve attached a screen shot of roughly what I’d like to do. and thats use a different ‘header’ with logo etc at very to of my landing page template but change the colour of the header bar and move the log to the centre.
Can i do that with this plugin (if so how?)

Just wondering if you could give me any tips on what css is required to make image headers responsive?
I’ve seen the previous thread from last year, but I just can’t figure out what would be required.

I would like to use this a range of different genesis child themes, so and generic advice would be great.
