Hi – Thanks for this awesome plugin. Just wondering if there any plans to update this plugin for Genesis 2.1.3 update and WordPress 4.3 update? Thanks again – GCowan
]]>I have the homepage widgets enabled in prose extras and populated the widget areas with widgets. I have the genesis settings set to display a page called HOME for the homepage instead of blog posts. Not seeing these areas. What else has to be enabled to get them to work?
]]>Hi
Awesome plugin thanks for building it.
When I apply the secondary layout (right side) it looks good on a PC but the text is not mobile responsive. What can I do to fix this?

I’m trying to use Prose Extras on a client’s site. The widgets are available to defined in Appearance > Widgets, but aren’t being displayed on the home page of the site.
In the Settings for the plugin, I have all 3 boxes checked in the Home Template panel, so that the widgets are available. And I’ve added the Genesis – Featured Page function to each of the Prose Extra widgets.
Any idea why the widgets aren’t being displayed?
The site in question is https://dinaferrantecoaching.com. I’d appreciate any suggestions or support you might give.
Regards,
Tara
My website at Circlingjericho.com (Genesis/Prose) is repeating its posts.
For example, it shows post #1, #2, #3, then the little “next page” button,
then it shows #1, #2, #3 again and then the next page button. When you
click on the “next page” you get post #4, #5, #6, then the “next page”
button, then it repeats post #4, #5, #6 and the next page button.
I have tried deactivating as many plug ins as I could without impacting
site design, I have tried reseting it to view a set page at the home page,
or changing the number of posts to view. Disabling the Prose Extras plugin fixes this, but I really would like to use some of the features of this plug in.
Are people using Prose Extras with WP 4 okay?

]]>I am new to genesis and sort of new to website design. I created one website using Prose and Genesis extender. I would like to try your Prose Extras plugin. Can I use both? I realize I cannot use your home page features with the extender EZ home page widgets. Please advise if using both these plugins for Prose could cause problems.
]]>My footer widgets are not working since I activated Prose Extras. The footer is showing up on the right sidebar after the last widget. I checked all the settings in Prose extras and footer is enabled.
]]>Hi David,
Thank you so much for providing this plugin. I don’t see how anyone could use Prose without it!
I have set my homepage to use ‘the latest posts’ so that I have a widgetised homepage. I have just created a new page called ‘Blog’ and went to the reading settings to set it as the posts page, but realised I can’t do that. Is there a way to have a posts page? As a workaround I thought that maybe I could call my default category ‘Blog’ and then link to the category page. Would that be the best way to do it?
Thanks again,
Mark
]]>I installed Responsive Slider + prose Extras and was hoping to get the slider to look like it’s floating over the home page like the Executive Pro theme (but proportionate to Prose of course). So I want the slider arrow icons in front/overlapping the edge of main content area on the home page and the slider images filling up the width of the main content area. I am struggling as the Prose CSS for the slider is vastly different to the Executive Pro one so I can’t do a side by side comparison to see what needs to be changed. Also need to change the CSS settings for the mobile/tablet versions. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
]]>Hello,
I am experiencing failure in the Media Library >> Edit Media >> Edit Image (button) functionality in WP 3.9 (the Preview image does not display), and tried disabling all plugins and re-enabling them one by one.
Activating Genesis Prose Extras, and only Genesis Prose Extras, breaks the image crop preview image (gives a broken image icon in place of the editable image).
No other plugins are active, and Genesis / Prose is the active theme.
Looking forward to a solution.
Thanks.

Hi,
Could you take a look at the html shown in Home Left and Home Right?
I noticed that for example a link isn’t shown when displaying a widget with featured posts. I also tried it with Genesis Featured Widget Amplified and Genesis Sandbox Featured Content Widget. But still no html.
I looked at home top and the footers and a link displayed by a widget with featured posts is shown, so it seems to be specific for Home left and Home right.
I’m using:
Prose 1.5.2
Prose extras: 1.1.0
I have installed the Genesis Prose Extras but it somehow is doing its magic on the blog page (which used to be the home page) instead of the new home page I made for this purpose.
I have changed the names of the pages in the menu section but can’t figure out why it’s not going on my new home page.
]]>First, I love the theme. My site is https://rethinkingpain.com/. Here are my issues:
1) Sidebar search form. Okay in desktop and phone view, but extends halfway across the screen in tablet views.
2) Header and navigation background colors. Can’t get these to change for the life of me. Tried both custom design as well as custom code (and clearing cache). I used approved hex codes. I’ve been able to change font colors, but not backgrounds.
3) Page navigation links (i.e., Page 1 2 3). I’d like to have links render below the after page/post widget. I have no idea how to code this.
Appreciate any help,
A.J.
]]>Hi,
Great plugin! Thank you for creating it.
I’m using Prose Extras to put a Featured Page in Prose Home Top and a list of five most recent blog posts using Featured Posts in Prose Home Left.
But when I load the page all the line breaks are gone. I can fix this on the featured page itself by adding an extra line break and then it shows up properly in the Home Top widget, but if I did that to posts, it would look good on the homepage but when clicked through to read the whole post, each post would have double white space.
Is there some custom CSS you can give to keep the Prose Extras widget areas from removing line break formatting? Is this a common problem or could this be caused by something in my set up?
I’m using latest Genesis, latest Prose and latest WP.
Thank you!
Drew
]]>I love having the Prose Extras capabilities, but I can’t get them to work. Here’s what I’ve done.
Installed the Prose Extras plugin, put a text widget in Home Top, a categories and text widget in Home Left, and a recent posts and text widget in Home Right. Nothing shows up when I look at the page live. Also cannot get the menu descriptions to work.
What am I missing?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

]]>Hi David,
Love all your plugins. This one, however, is awesome!
Is there a setting to add a header navigation menu? If not, do you have any plans to add it in the future?
]]>Is there a setting to get the primary and/or the secondary menu labels/buttons to align right instead of (default) left?
]]>Love the plugin.
Quick question – is it possible to move the Prose Home Top below the Prose Home Left and Prose Home Right widgets?
I want to move my featured widgets above my recent posts on this page: https://www.jrmyprtr.com/
Thanks for your help.
]]>I have the same issue that webdiva-nl had 2 months ago. The plug in upload was successful, the home top, home right and home left areas are in my widgets set up but anything I put in there doesn’t appear on site. I also tried to change the homepage layout to full width in the prose extras settings but that didn’t show either.
This plugin was highly recommended to me by a member of the Studiopress Forum but unfortunately all I’m feeling is frustrated. Please help.
I put cloudflare on development mode and there is no cacheing activated yet. Any changes I make to the primary sidebar area appear instantly. I tried deactivating and reactivating.
]]>hi,
Just testing it now. Great extra functionality.
I read that the extra layouts are responsive, but somehow the page on my test site isn’t responsive. I only installed Prose Extras on this childsite.
The secondary and primary sidebare look good but the page on top isn’t responsive and part of the page can’t be read?
I tested the normal layouts, but they are responsive (see this example page)
]]>Hello, I have installed the genesis prose extras plugin, yet when I place a widget in the home top, left, or right sections, all content on the blog disappears except for sidebar widgets. So, all I have on the homepage would be whatever widgets I place in the new prose extra widgetized areas and the sidebar. What must I do differently? Thank you.

]]>I have installed this on a genesis prose installation.
Does not work as planned. I see the widget areas, but thing i put in them are not viewable on my site.
I want the slider on the homepag in it. But also a simple textwidget is nog viewable on the frontpage.
The widget area is available, but what i ever i put in it, you don’t see/
I cannot remove it also anymore. (i thought a clean install would help)
Please advise…
