Using Genesis with Outreach Pro themes.
Genesis Slider is enabled on the front page which is using Landing template.
Problem: Client has made changes to the text on the page but the front end is not updating. It is still showing old text.
We’ve done the following to troubleshoot:
The only thing that made the problem go away was disabling the slider. Can’t figure out why the slider is holding the cache. We would really appreciate some direction as to where to go from here please.

Please tell me if you could replicate the issue.

In order for my home page to load quickly and prevent Cumulative Layout Shift. I would like to define the height & width of the slider images. I have the Display Settings set in the Slider Settings, and the images in the Media Library are set as well. However, when the page loads, the Height and Width attributes are nowhere to be seen in the code.
Does anyone know of a work around? Maybe it’s time to move to another slider?

I am having issues figuring out why the text is not showing up on mobile within my Genesis Responsive Slider. I do not have “Hide Title & Content on Mobile Devices” checked within the slider settings. I’ve checked my stylesheet end over end and can’t seem to figure out what’s either missing or has the display placed as “none” for mobile. I am definitely looking for some guidance!
Hi,
I am not sure when the issue started, but when I go to the link provided, the text box does not show in the image as it used to, however, when I log in via dashboard then view the site, it does as it used to.
Genesis, WP, and Plugin are all at the latest versions, I have cleared the cache and tried via private window, theme is Education Pro just as FYI.
Thanks!

Hello,
On the mobile version the text (title and excerpt) of my posts does not show up. Only the image is visible, so users do not understand what the post is about.
How can i fix it ?
The responsive slider is no longer appearing on our site. We’re using multisite and the slider appears to be working on other sites such as https://austinpeay.sigep.org, but not this one. No known updates or changes were made to cause this. Seemingly random.
Hi there!
So I’m running a W3C HTML validation check on a client’s website and we found that your plugin adds a type=”text/javascript” attribute to the script tag your plugin injects into the page to initialize the slider.
We were wondering if you would consider removing said attribute from the script tag as the type attribute is no longer necessary when dealing with JavaScript code and the W3C HTML validator actually throws a warning because of it.
We realize it’s not going to have a meaningful impact on the site’s performance but thought we’d try reaching out anyways.
Thanks in advance for your time!
Hello,
The Genesis Responsive Slider is not working on mobile devices.I bought the Hello Peach theme, it’s a WordPress Genesis Child theme, built on the Genesis Framework and The slider came with the theme. According the description: “Hello Peach looks extraordinary on laptops, desktops, cellphones and tablets and has a fully Responsive Layout” But the slider is not working on mobile phones or tablets. I tried to reinstall it multiple times, I also downloaded the Genesis Slider plugin instead of using the one who came with the theme. I’ve googled for hours (well days actually).. but I can’t find the problem. I hope you can help, thanking you in advance.
Hello,
On the mobile version the text (title) of my posts does not show up. Only the image is visible, so users do not understand what the post is about.
A similar thread was opened and they mentioned to cancel specific CSS code in the child theme. However cannot locate them.

Hello!
I have a Genesis slider widget displaying on the home page of this website. It is the first thing on the page (before the section that says “Welcome to the Evangelical Theological College of Addis Ababa”)
It was working fine last week. Yesterday I upgraded to WP 5.5 and the slider does not display anymore. I checked the settings and it is fine, nothing has changed. The funny thing is, it displays on the browser I am logged into as WP admin, but not on other browsers or devices.
You can view a screenshot here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mgpRy8adANeYOUryjMLpf79dWgjsHpHH/view?usp=sharing
The left side is the browser I am logged into as admin, and the right side is another browser displaying the same page.
Help would be appreciated ??

I’ve seen a couple posts related to this problem but none of them provide a clear solution. The only thing I’ve seen is clear cache which I’ve done quite a few times.
The issue: I’m only able to see the border, previous and next buttons, and the circles below the slider. If I include a title to the slider it also shows up. None of the texts or images appear even though the markup is there when I inspect it in Chrome. What could cause this issue and how can I resolve it?
The latest most important performance metrics for the website, Web Vitals, include a metric Largest Contentful Paint, which is supposed to be less than 2.5 seconds. The first slide shows LCP value less than 2.5 seconds, but as the slides are progressing, the LCP grows exponentially 15 sec, 20 sec, 50 sec… 90 sec… How do I apply lazy loading to this plugin if all slides are based on content from the featured images of separate pages. Any advice?
Genesis Responsive Slider is not working, just showing to arrows right and left with dots in the middle. My food photos are not showing up. Also, my Simple Social Icons are not working as well. Ideas? Thank you!!
Hi, I’m kind of new to genesis but have used wordpress for many years.
I transferred a site to a new domain and did search and replace in the urls.
Everything is working fine, but the Genesis responsive Slider that does not show anything except the pagination dots and navigation arrows..
I uninstalled it and installed again, reset the prefs but still no luck.
The pages I add to the slider are working and has a selected image and I choose to show 100 chars of the content. Still the slider is totally white.. when it shows up, but mostly it only shows the dots and the arrows, not taking up the widget space at all.
Nothing shows except the arrows.
How can I proceed to find the problem with this?
Maybe I should add that I choose to show pages, include, and then four no of the pages, show selected image, show 100 characters of page.
Slider is working on the old domain with said settings.
Doing a bit of theme support and we’ve run into an issue with the slider not displaying the images. The little stinker causing the issue is this code coming from the plugin:
.flexslider .slides > li {
display: none;
} /* Hide the slides before the JS is loaded. Avoids image jumping */
So that may be conflicting with other scripts that load. Namely some scripts that are in the sidebar for example.
Any other logic why that’s set in that manner and how do we resolve it? I’m sure people still need to load scripts in the sidebar.
Since the Genesis Theme Dashboard menu is gone, I would expect to find it in Customization / Theme Settings. What am I missing?
The slider works perfectly when I am logged in and have dashboard bar across top but in “Incognito”-chrome, firefox, Opera, Edge the slider is not showing at all, you can see the border for where it is suppose to be but no content at all, yet everything shows up when I am logged in. When I inspect element all content is showing as being there but is not visible front end.
I’m using the Smush plugin and enabled lazy loading.
The slider image doesn’t render on Chrome since there’s no image dimensions: An element was lazyloaded with loading=lazy, but had no dimensions specified. Specifying dimensions improves performance.
Is there a way for me to add a class to all the Genesis slider images through the functions.php? I can then exclude the slider from using lazy loading.
