Hello! I’ve had this installed for many months now with no issues. However, I’ve noticed recently (probably after a recent update of the plugin and/or Genesis) that on any page/post where I have a secondary menu enabled, the primary menu has disappeared. All of these have “Default” selected as the primary menu option, but it seems that no longer works… I have to go into every post to manually select the Primary Menu, and then it shows up. Is there a way to fix it so that a default menu still shows up without having to manually select it on each post?
]]>Hi,
Thank you for the great plugin.
It is working fantastic. I have added it to the custom post type (using it with the portfolio pro) and that works fine.
I would like to know if it is possible to setup the menu for all portfolio posts so I do not need to edit each one of them (or new ones) manually.
Thanks!
]]>I have the altitude pro theme and installed the plugin. But I only can choose the option before header menu. The menu is then at the top of the page. Is it posible to:
get the menu beneath the header
or is it posible to put per page a different menu in the primary sidebar?

]]>Hi,
I’m using MaiTheme child theme for genesis (but I experienced the same issue with the genesis sample child theme).
In a page/post, in the “navigation” section, there is only one selectable option: footer menu.
I need to set a custom primary menu.
Is that a known issue?
Thanks
ps. I’m working on a local server

Hello,
Any way I can make secondary navigation (showing blog’s categories) appear on my blog page / archive page.
My blog page is set up the WordPress way, using Settings > Reading. Plus I’m using the Genesis Grid plugin.
I have played around with adding this to my functions php add_post_type_support( '?????', 'genesis-simple-menus' );
but I can’t work out what ????? should be.
Any help here is appreciated.

]]>Hi,
I’ve tried to generate selective sub-menus with your plugin, but there is some kind of conflict with Polylang (multilingual wordpress).
GSM ignores the menu selected for pages while Polylang is active, showing default secondary menu. When Polylang is disabled, GSM works as expected. I?m getting the same results in both a production website and a test wordpress on a local server.
Is there any chance to make it work with Polylang? Any advice?
]]>Hello, I’m trying to get this to work for a course using LearnDash but after installing there isn’t the usual option to select sub-menu. I’ve used this before on other sites so am familiar with it.
The child theme is Daily Dish Pro.
Also would it be possible to chose the primary menu too?
Thanks,

]]>Hi,
I can’t get the secondary menu to change on my single-product pages in woocommerce. I added this to my functions:
add_post_type_support( ‘product’, ‘genesis-simple-menus’ );
But that didn’t change anything. I also tried to add a secondary menu for the “my account” page but that didn’t work either. Any ideas?
]]>Hey just uploaded/activated GSM – it seems like exactly what my client is needing for their genesis framework site.
I have followed the steps provided in the installation guide, and set the blog page secondary navigation to the desired menu – but it isn’t showing up.
Here is the link: https://newriverbirch.wpengine.com/blog
Any help? I am sure I’m just overlooking something, I’m fairly new to the Genesis framework.
Thanks,

I have five primary menu items and a secondary menu for each of them. I would like visitors to the site to know which primary category they are visiting while navigating around the secondary items without having to use breadcrumbs.
For instance, this secondary page lives under the “Visitors” primary navigation – I would like that to remain highlighted as well.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I’m running Genesis 2.0.2 with a customized Agentpress Child Theme and Genesis Simple Menus 0.2.
The Agentpress Theme has a custom post type for home listings which I have customized for my purposes for trips.
I’m using the secondary navigation throughout the site on my other pages and I would love to be able to add that same functionality to the listings (trips for me) custom post type. As it stands now I can only choose the primary navigation, but not the secondary navigation because the plugin doesn’t know to display for custom posts type.
Can anyone assist with the snippet of code required to add this functionality?
Much appreciated.
