After editing Slide-in menu options, Slide-in menus look very malformed.

Additional info about our environment:
WordPress version 5.9.3
Current theme: Genesis Sample (version 3.1.0) Current plugin: Genesis Slide-in Widget (version 1.5) PHP version 8.0.17
I also noticed that “Settings panel” section of the “Genesis Slide-in Widget Settings” page is missing. Specifically where slide from option is defined, as the error suggest.
I suspect this plugin needs to be updated for compatibility with newer version of WordPress. Is this a possibility in the near future?
]]>Hi – I’m just getting started with the Genesis framework (using Imagely themes & NextGen Gallery). I stumbled upon the slide-in widget as a way to provide an overlay with information about my products on my e-commerce site. In my testing so far it has worked great.
Is there a way to have multiple instances of the widget with different text? I’m using it by way of the [slide-widget] shortcode, as I only want it to appear in certain places (no button on every page or on the home page).
For example, I have it configured now to display information about my products. I’d like to have a separate instance to display info about my product ordering process. Is this possible?
Thanks in advance!
]]>hello dear frank,
i like your genesis-slide in widget.
slide (able) presentation of Amazon-book-information – doable in genesis-slide-in-widget
at the moment i try to investigate if it is possible to run your amazon-plugin genesis-slide-in-widget with a slider! Do you think this is doable!?
Well that would be more than great – in other words i would be more than happy if we can do this! what is wanted and needed: i want to show books – and offer the data that are fetched from amazon.
what i love to do is – to put some cool slider-(able) displays at the to the top of the page: btw: see my truely beta-page: https://www.literaturen.org
i have a truely beta-beta template that shows what i am looking for: Most of these templates were created by using the Amazon Affiliate site, generating the widget or link required then copying the generated output into the ‘Template Content’ box. Then quickly replacing any of the static data with template keywords, e.g. the product ASIN, Title, etc.
Well to be frank that is truely beta-beta!
I would love to see your plugin that is able to do this a bit better!!
Dear Frank – i love to hear from you
greetings martin
It would be great if the button that gets clicked on to activate (slide in) the panel could use an icon instead of text.
Do you know if / how this is possible?
For example the code or class of an icon in an icon font?
Hoping to not exclude text altogether though. Something like this? https://tri.be/
Thanks!
]]>Hi, I used Widget Logic plugin and then !is_home() on all the widgets in the “Slide-in Widget” area. That seemed to get the slide-in panel out of the home page. However, this would be tedious to do if there were multiple widgets to handle, or if a client were dragging things in and out and didn’t know WP conditional logic.
Do you know of an easier way to exclude the slide-in panel from certain pages? Even if it’s code to put in functions.php that would still be helpful if it’s not a plugin feature (yet?).
]]>Hi Frank!! Another great plugin, thanks man!
Can I activate the panel by clicking a link, like your other plugin, the modal login one?
Thanks!!
]]>Your plugin adds a global CSS rule:
*::before {
content: '';
}
This creates issues with jQuery Isotope elements in various browsers.
Please sit down and have a think why your plugin needs to create global CSS rules that potentially conflict with existing theme/plugin CSS.

]]>I’ve had many issues with this widget interfering with formatting on my site. It’s misaligned the cart and quantity boxes because it was adding a pseudo element and it overrode the mobile settings for my primary menu – making it disappear instead of becoming a hamburger.

]]>Change this:
add_action('admin_init', 'wpstudio_gsw_deactivate_check');
To:
add_action('after_switch_theme', 'wpstudio_gsw_deactivate_check');
This is only run when the theme is switched instead of checking every admin init if genesis is active. Since you already have it checking on plugin activation there is no need to check unless the theme is switched. Hope this helps!

It would be great to be able to have the button text run vertical instead of horizontal down the edge of the page.
