This plugin makes our clients uber happy.

Sorry, you cannot run Genesis Sticky Menu without WordPress 3.3 and Genesis 1.8.0 or greater.

I downloaded the plugin WITHOUT activating it or doing any other settings modifications.
Later I noticed on a new site just being built a black bar drop down menu with bulleted items of two pages recently created.. the contact page, the privacy policy page.
Obviously, this was not desired.
I remembered downloading the plug in and immediately deleted the plug in. The black drop down bar no longer happened.
I give any plugin that activates itself on a live site a big thumbs down. Who knows what else it is doing?
As far as I’m concerned this plug-in ranks the same as a virus – avoid unless you know its code.

Like the ease of the plugin but some major issues noticed:
1. If Sticky Menu used, then the secondary menu disappears from my site
2. Menu is not mobile responsive – adds a bar to the top of the page but does not handle the menu well.
3. Author site and demo site links are inactive now. Tried to contact to donate for further development but no luck.
Has anyone come across another newbie friendly solution?

Thank you.

I like how you can easily customize the menu in WordPress’s menu builder. When you scroll down, the sticky menu fades in, like most sticky menus do.
The problem is that activating it hides the original menu, so you have to scroll down to see any menu at all. That’s a huge problem, and I’ll have to either look for another plugin or hard code it myself.

Looks absolutely nothing like the demo.
Demo shows menu stuck to the top of the page permanently. Actual plugin only displays menu when scrolling down.
Demo shows menu inside header area. Actual plugin fills the entire page width.
Why put up a demo that requires customization of the plugin to achieve? If most of us could customize like that we wouldn’t need a plugin.

I like this plugin. But, the sticky menu hides the admin bar. That’s I hate it.

Perfectly works. Looking for an option to control opacity.
